Thank goodness today has been a slower day than yesterday!!! I didn't have too many posts to catch up on. Off to fold the clothes now before DDs wake up from their naps. Will catch up tonight after they go to bed and before Desparate Housewives.

Ang, it does seem like each season is a complete story, so you're probably fine. Maybe you are supposed to know some of the characters already though. I read Kristin on E-online every week, so I've heard bits and pieces about 24, but I think Season 6 is coming up? So I don't remember anything she said about Season 1! I was suspicious of Janet's father, but I got over it the way he was dealing with the cop.

Pam, yes pictures! You should post it on the Teen thread, too, maybe revive it!

I had forgotten (so many posts!) about how you said you wanted a nap yesterday.....
When Jared was little....he never napped. He didn't sleep at night, either..so I was always exhausted.
I used to take him in on my bed during the day, hoping that he would take a nap if I laid down with him. Well.....I would fall asleep, and could feel him trying to s* l *o *w *l*y, carefully slip off the bed! We'd go through that same routine about 5 times. I figured I at least got 20 minutes shut eye!!

Does anyone else have a Boba Tea place nearby? We are hooked on boba cappacino slushies. We're drinking them now. If anyone knows the nutritional values for boba teas I don't want to know, thanks.

Does your Ritters have "dogs night out?" We went.....ONCE. Now we don't have a dog anymore so we don't go. Taking a cat to "dogs night out" might show lack of judgement!

Yeah- it's Monday nights... our dog is just too big to take there... she chases little dogs (thinking they're lures... she's a retired racing greyhound). Besides, no ice cream in her restricted low-protein diet... we'd be cleaning up the floor for days.

By chance have you had that Apple Pie thing they are describing on their board? It sounds good, but I have not had it yet. What's it like?

I tried it last fall and was very disappointed... it was frozen apple pie on the bottom... reminded me of my college cafeteria days when dessert was never fully defrosted before they served it. But usually I love ANYTHING from Ritters... so that was the exception.

Yet you continue to go to Disney and on DCL cruises. They are the biggest wallet suckers out there.

But at least you get your money's worth... my rationale to the kids is, "why spend $ at Family Days when we can go to Disney instead... (it's a logical argument when you live this close and have AP's)

Granted, we didn't do either today... instead, I finally hung curtains in my dining room and foyer (the front of my house), so it looks like someone actually lives here now. Christopher went to Family Days with the neighbors... left with $10, came home with $1, and an armful of stuff that he won... the other two kids came home empty handed and empty-pocketed. Guess he's a carny in the making.

I won't quote everyone's posts regarding my surgery; but thanks to all for the well-wishes & prayers!!! One of my biggest fears is that I'm going to have to cancel the cruise because the fusion won't have taken enough. That's where I KNOW y'all will come through for me!!! I can't imagine not being able to cruise with y'all and meeting each one of you face to face! I feel like I've got a whole other group of friends - weird sometimes but fun to be around!

I know I am behind on posts, so I am sure others have said this, BUT, no cruise canceling - Cruise wil be the reward for all your hard work towards healing....even if you need to stay on board - we will bring you drinks, with little umbrella's in them..... yeah!

I HATE 24. Can they please not end each episode with another twist??? JUST when I think all is going well and life will be normal....BAM!!!!! Two steps backwards! sigh!

At the end of a season do they finally wrap things up??? Or leave you hanging till the next season? Is season 2 a continuation of season 1?? Or it is a whole different plot and situation???

Did not watch 24....Must go to bed.

Did not drink Smithwicks - must go to bed.

Did not read book - must go to bed.

So that I can get up at 5:00 am on on Sunday and go Diving....

Oh, wait, the boat cancelled - something about 6-10 foot seas and a gale blowing up - geez......You throw up on the crew once and they cancel....

Next dive must wait til after Food and Wine!!!!

Hey there! I am/was a nurse too. Worked surgical infant ICU, and then office peds before finally staying home with my own and losing all rational thought (kid has a seizure in the ICU I'm all over it--pushing meds, doing this, doing that...) MY kids has a seizure and I break down and lose all logical thought!)

Scrap Happy Mom - I never was a nurse but I worked with premies one semister in Shands.....a wonderful and heart-breaking experience....

And it's time for me to go in for a prescription change. I could not do close work with either my glasses or contacts last night. Had to go "naked" and it worked fine. The things we do for our kids (I was working on Matt's science homework)

Nope - Naked does not work for me --- Had the mask off in the refresher course and could not hear the instructor.....OK, go figure, no eyesight - no hearing....

I'm getting a little frustrated with our daily puzzle in the paper. I think they're printing bad ones! Or maybe I just shouldn't be sudokuing before coffee....

Speaking of which, Kevin buys green Tanzania beans and roasts them in our garage. Smells awful, but the coffee is the best I've had. Very spoiled. Coffee = Love.

Anyone want to send us a cat to borrow for a while??? There's SOMETHING in out attic. Although we're not really sure that it's in the attic or just in the ductwork for the vest in our master bath. We started noticing droppings on the floor ... always in the same area. GROSS!!! Looked up one day & can see droppings stuck in the vent. We can hear whatever in the early a.m. hours. Last night I heard it at 9:30 p.m. Sounds like it's scratching or banging on metal. We had Terminix come out & look but of course they won't do anything ... if it's a bat, they don't handle it; can't look in the vent since it's electrical; can't crawl in the attic; blah, blah, blah ... what the heck am I paying them for??? Any suggestions?

Oh, I would be more than happy to give tips to anyone that might ask.... but fair warning, the scrapbook from our first cruise (May 2004) is now two volumes, about 3 inches thick each, and I still have probably 10 pages to complete. As with everything else I do, in scrapbooking I tend to go a tad overboard.

Not a problem, and I too, think you will fit in well here......

Now, I LIKE the sound of that! You did post that before but I forgot ... can anyone say old age setting in??? I may have to borrow some of those other older kids to help with our luggage. I have a feeling I still won't be able to carry ANYTHING ... that's my story & I'm stickin' to it!
