Is that the wedding that conflicts with the OSU game? What was the bride thinking?

Not just any OSU game. The ONLY home OSU game in the entire month of October!

KT maintains the bride wasn't. (thinking that is) ;)

Now KT is threatening to wear her big OSU clip in her hair (which will be professionally up-do'd) and painting her nails scarlet and grey!

Angie...I hope everything is going well today! At least it's a few things over and done with.

Ohminnie.....I did tell the kids about the dog from heck.....
I LOVE the picture of Mowana. Kitties are so cute.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: Having a Bad Day? My favorite was the hubby with the iPod!! I burst out laughing and scared the dog half to death!!

This is my post number 6666. Not a thing profound to say. Oh well, so what else is new? :flower:

I have always ordered from catalogs and online. We are too far out in the sticks to run to Phoenix all the time.
Our UPS guy knows us all by first name. He's not necessarily cute...but a really nice guy. He'd been coming to the office for a few weeks and we would chat. (Yes, surprise...I DO like to chat!;) ) One day, Jordan was in there working at the other desk. UPS guy comes in...we chat...he asks me to lunch.....I thought Jordan was going to fall off her chair!! Her reaction at someone asking "Mom" out (Eewww) was too funny. I never did tell him I was married. I politely declined....and let him find out later on his own that Jay was my husband. He's never mentioned it again and neither have I, but Jordan and Jay won't let it die.

GO KT!! Tell her to paint OSU on the groom's shoes!

Forget recessional music- it will probably be the OSU fight song, right???

No. See, that's the problem. They don't bleed scarlet and grey. They went to Miami University (of Ohio). Mike's dad claims to be a Buckeye fan, but usually as he's asking if we have any extra tickets ;)

They called this year....OSU was playing Miami...wouldn't it be nice if we had extra tickets so Heather could go??? Yeah, we did b/c we were going to be in FL, but I wanted to say "wouldn't it be nice if we heard from you sometimes when you weren't asking for something?" ;)

Funniest thing I heard today at the dress fitting. Mike's step mom was SOOOO proud. She bought these really expensive towels for the bride and groom and was having them embroidered with "JUST MARRIED" on them. Ok...how many years do "really expensive towels" last? And just how long do you want to display "just married" in your bathroom. But she thought they could take them on their honeymoon RCCL cruise with them and hang them in their bathroom for everyone to see. Kids were all over this in the car on the way home....they listed the problems with this plan....#1...who exactly is "everyone" and what are they doing in your bathroom?? #2....do you want the SAME towels all week?? not like your room steward is going to throw those in the laundry #3...precious suitcase space...and who wants to bring home DIRTY towels from a cruise?

Ah, love my kids. They are so practical (and cruise saavy)

Call me old fashioned, but I found out today the bride does not want to be "trendy" and have the typical processional music (here comes the bride, all dressed in white) so she picked "Ave, Maria" as her song.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Since when is "here comes the bride" TRENDY?

Guess I"ll just be humming it to myself. Unless I can figure out some way to get out of going. Nah...want to see KT all dressed up and up-do'd with her OSU clip in! ;)

Karen - I agree your kids are pretty smart - much smarter than Mike's step-mom. :rotfl2:

I just had a similar conversation the other day when loading up my new linen closet... I still have the towels I got for a shower gift (our 15th anniversary is next week)... I have 4 different 'color schemes' of towels from the last 3 houses that I've lived in, and my new master bathroom doesn't match ANY of them. I'm not thrilled with the color scheme of it, but the wallpaper was so well done that I hate to tear it down... it's 'nice', just not what I really want. I figure I'll live with it til I can't stand it any more. (Or til I can't stand the fact that my slate blue towels are hanging in my burgundy bathroom.)

So, no, "Just Married" towels are NOT a great idea... and even less so on a cruise.

Well I will admit that 15 years ago I didn't walk up to "Here Comes The Bride". That song just doesn't do it for me. I walked up to "Ode To Joy". We did have the traditional Wedding March at the end.

Ok - lunch is over so i have to get back to work. Have a great afternoon everyone!

I came back up the aisle to "Ode to Joy", and walked down the aisle, escorted by BOTH my parents to "Sunrise, Sunset" from Fiddler on the Roof ... Dad's favorite song.

Anybody heard from Fran (tchrmom) lately? Or has Kelly's gymnastics schedule swallowed her up??? Seems like she's disappeared... hope she doesn't think we're all certifiably insane!!

I'm still here! Between kelly and gym.............and life in general, I've been pretty much "sidetracked". I'll try and do better!

Have a great day!
Fran

You should have told us something decidedly LISA!!

Don't you think Ave Maria is a little long for that? Are they going to cut it off at mid-point?

Megan walked down the aisle to Pachebel's Canon in D....she didn't want the wedding march, but I did. We had our steel drum guy play it at the vow renewal.

HI FRAN!!! Glad to see you're hanging in there. It's tough to post when you're busy busy busy, isn't it??
