Ohminnie...had to laugh...I was asking the kids about the games, and Jordan said "Why don't they just get a real dog?" LOL

Hmmm....maybe I'll talk to Mike about that option instead......

NOT!

Karen - tell us how you really feel. :)

The shipping for DM's book from Amazon was $3.99, practically the cost of a gallon of gas around here. Til shipping goes up it may be cheaper to 'have it delivered'. Plus I get to see the hunky UPS guy.

The original poster on the idiotic thread started out talking about the obnoxious things they had seen at WDW. But went on to say that they quit taking pictures of the castle and Mickey, in favor of pics of people. Like some "fat" person with a turkey leg in each hand. He also said that they show these pictures to their dinner guests and get a good laugh out of them.

And of course, 3 pages worth of people chimed in with "Oh, you should have seen the one I saw!".
There were maybe 3 people who said "This is just wrong". :sad2:
They were even bordering on racism.

That's just sad. I've seen a lot of stuff at WDW, but nothing I'd take pictures of and make fun of over dinner.
We did see something at Typhoon Lagoon this last trip that has, unfortunately, burnt a hole in my memory. Down the beach from us was a woman who must have been 350-400 pounds. In an incredibly small bikini. In fact, until she stood up, I wasn't sure she had a bottom on. And twice (that I saw) she fell out of the top. But I will give her this....she was mobile. She was very active and mobile. Would I take a picture of it and make fun of it? Nope.

Well, kinda not true. We did take pictures once of a lady's feet/shoes at Epcot. For the badshoe.com website. Even the CM's were making fun of her shoe choice! :)

tired. ;)

after reading and watching HP so late last night, I'm tired. :)

I want the kind of dog Mr. Scuba is looking for!

Since I shared "stupid pet photos" on my other thread, I didn't want ya'll to feel left out. Here's a couple of Mowana recently....
(nevermind that that bowl is a handcrafted, one of a kind gift from my parents)

Hmm... wonder if its the same family that we saw in Epcot on a totally rainy day... a Mom & 3 daughters (about 6-12 years old) ALL wearing those clear plastic 'dress-up style' high-heeled 'princess shoes' that lit up when you walked. (The ones from the toy department at Wal-Mart) They were speaking a language other than English (not sure what... German maybe?), but it was obvious that they were SEVERELY complaining about sore feet... well, DUH!!!

Good morning all! Busy night last night.

OHMinnie ... cute pics of the cat ... even though I'm not a pet lover.

All this talk of Gameboys is making me realize that I'm out of touch. I have no earthly clue what y'all are talking about. I guess in a couple of years, I'll find out. I think those are more of boy toys though. My neice has one but think it's only because her older brother has one.

Irene, sounds like you're having fun with the diving, not the driving.

I have pre-op appts. today - lab work, appt. with the anesthesiologist, appt. with the surgeon then appt. with physical therapy. Luckily Bruce is coming with me so I'm not totally overwhelmed.

Note to self:
Buy Amazon and UPS stock.........

Anybody heard from Fran (tchrmom) lately? Or has Kelly's gymnastics schedule swallowed her up??? Seems like she's disappeared... hope she doesn't think we're all certifiably insane!! (Well... we are... but that's beside the point)

Oh, don't be too sure about that. Girls love um too! :)

Good luck getting through all of your appointments. I remember long ago when you said you were having back surgery in October and it seemed SOOOOOOO far away.

Our UPS guy went to high school with Mike. He was a wrestler. Still looks like a wrestler 'cept I can't quite imagine him in a brown singlet with UPS on the front ;)

We have the Amazon Prime and it has paid for itself! Of course, instead of puttign things in the cart and then thinking about them for awhile and deciding that we really don't need them, we buy it and have it shipped for free. It's speedy too. I ordered something on a Monday and it was here on Tuesday....for free!

Having a bad day?????

In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 am., regardless of their medical condition.

This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had something to do with the supernatural. No one could solve the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, so a worldwide team of experts was assembled to investigate the cause of the incidents.

The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 a.m., all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits.

Just when the clock struck 11:00, Pookie Johnson, the part-time Sunday sweeper, entered the ward and unplugged the life support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner.

Having a Bad Day????

The average cost of rehabilitating a seal after the Exxon Valdez Oil spill in Alaska was $80,000.00. At a special ceremony, two of the most expensively saved animals were being released back into the wild amid cheers and applause from onlookers.

A minute later, in full view, a killer whale ate them both.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Still think you are having a Bad Day????

A woman came home to find her husband in the kitchen shaking frantically, almost in a dancing frenzy, with some kind of wire running from his waist towards the electric kettle. Intending to jolt him away from the deadly current, she whacked him with a handy plank of wood, breaking his arm in two places. Up to that moment, he had been happily listening to his ipod.

STILL think you're having a Bad Day????

Two animal rights defenders were protesting the cruelty of sending pigs to a slaughterhouse in Bonn, Germany. Suddenly, all two thousand pigs broke loose and escaped through a broken fence, stampeding madly.

The two helpless protesters were trampled to death.

What?? STILL having a Bad Day????

Iraqi terrorist Khay Rahnajet didn't pay enough postage on a letter bomb. It came back with "Return to Sender" stamped on it. Forgetting it was the bomb, he opened it and was blown to bits.

There ---- now----, feeling better ????

I have been doing more at-home shopping, using coupons and free shipping. I like the Kohl's deal, coupon, free shipping and I can return to the store. I sometimes think DM and I should get out more other than cruises and mini-meets.

Ya know, put that way, I think my day is going pretty well. Thanks!

although I have to take KT to get fitted for a flower girl dress for a wedding she wants no part of :sad2:

Is that the wedding that conflicts with the OSU game? What was the bride thinking?

I'm sure Fran is busy now that school has started. Either that, or the DIS meet was too much for her. :rotfl:
