One piece of sad news and I thought of Stacey when I heard this. Seems the host of our local radio station was on an Alaskan cruise last week when he got word that his house had burned down. It was gutted. This guy is a big Beatles fan and golf fan - I can only imagine all that was lost. No humans were lost, but he did lose his sweet little dog Otis. Very sad indeed. No word on what caused the fire but when I saw the pictures of the house and Otis I was crying.

Lesson learned that nothing is forwever. Count your blessings for all you have.

We just barely escaped. Good friends are about a week from getting a Austrialian Shepherd puppy, as of Saturday night there was one puppy leftun-claimed. John and I talked about it Saturday night and agreed to investigate without saying "yes" and without telling the kids- called the family Sunday afternoon and the last puppy had already been spoken for...I know that if John would have gone to visit he would have been a goner...
