the one thing everyone has complained about since we got home is how dry it has been. The lawn is turning brown and the farmers are facing a major drought. Jim, why don't you get in the jeep and come up for a visit. :)

OK... here it is.... my post #2000... so you're waiting for something profound...

How about a quote from my absolute FAVORITE book... "Really Important Stuff My Kids Have Taught Me" (written by Cynthia Copeland Lewis)... one 'profound' thought on each page, from a child- all lessons that we can apply to adult situations... the book sits on my desk every day, and is so full of truth...

So here goes... one of my favorites...

When you're told not to put raisins up your nose, its hard to think about anything else.

There it is... post 2000...

Congrats Karen on post #2000.

Wise words indeed!:)

I would hope that those of us who post a lot and have gotten to know each other through posting would agree that it makes the cruise experience even better. So I'm curious why others wouldn't post.

The floor (and thread) are open. We'd love to hear from you even if it is to say that posting just isn't your thing.
Not to ignore your parameters Mary, but I would like to weigh in here. I didn't get into posting (or reading for that matter) on the 10-day thread since I didn't see the need. After DW, Diana started telling me about the interesting people and topics that came up I jumped in.
We had a ball, met some GREAT people and had the BEST cruise ever. No, I'm not exaggerating! It was a lot more fun than just going by ourselves.

The get together's prior to cruise, the fun things we did together on the cruise: Wine tasting, T-shirts, group pictures, linked dining, excursions and other fun stuff really made the whole experience more interesting for me.

No, no, no... its BUTTONS in the nose... at least it was when I was almost 2...

The conversation went something like this...

Me: All gone.
Mom: What's 'all gone'?
Me: It's all gone
Mom: WHAT's all gone
Me: Button's all gone
Mom: Where'd the Button go?
Me: :confused3

Now, keep in mind that we had the above conversation some time after having the conversation about Kix cereal NOT being meant for nasal congestion... (but mom, you said not to put CEREAL up my nose.)

How's that for 'getting to know (nose) you'? Sorry Mary.... and seriously, you are very right about your earlier post. (We ARE nuts.)

Wasn't that a line in a movie? "Everything he gets, goes up his nose!"

don't think they were talking cereal though.......

Passing through MY county that is! We've had severe weather all day. Jim Cantore has called me THREE times today to warn me. We even went to the basement on one occasion it was so nasty here. :earseek: Hail and all! :earseek:

It's starting up again as I type....

Profound. And coming from a household that has gone to the ER for things up noses, it's so true!

(KT put corn up her nose during dinner the SAME day Mike spent 8 hours interviewing for an ER fellowship position!! And, although she isn't blood, Mike's step mother put an ENTIRE pearl necklace up her nose to hide the evidence after she broke it!!)

Ugh...weigh in. That's what I should be doing....a walk away the pounds video.

good time to do it...maybe the power will go out in the middle and i can eat ice cream instead!!

after all, i wouldn't want to waste the ice cream if the freezer power is out...better eat it, right?
