I just finished adding pictures of the Mexican Riviera cruise to my album...
Great pictures... 49 weeks seems like such a long wait when I look at those!
Didn't get over to read your trip report yet, but congrats to Jared on his great play!!

sleeping on a bed that transforms into a dining room table can take it out of me.
Add that to the list of reasons why I don't camp!

I have yard people coming tommorrow and no yard that needs mowing...what am I to do?? ARGH MEN
When they show up, tell them that you 'forgot' to tell DH about the surprise.... see if they'll start next week. :confused3 . Or, send them to my yard, and they can get all the 'racing stripes' that my lawn guys missed while trying to beat the thunderstorm last week.

OH yeah I have decided to head back to WDW for Labor Day, will anyone else be there? I will be there from the 2nd thru the 5th.....
I'm sure I could convince my kids to head over for the day... how horrendous are the crowds on Labor Day weekend??? Just waiting for the football schedule to come out... maybe we're playing an Orlando-area team that Saturday, and can kill 2 birds with one stone?

She does not leave the boat in Nassau. No reason to.
Nope... I don't blame her. My least favorite port anywhere, though I wouldn't let it stop me from going on a cruise- even if it only went there. First time there, we left the ship and were back on in an hour. That was enough for me! Nassau is a great 'pseudo-at-sea-day'.

Fine answer. You can also take in really big glasses which each holds two glasses of wine
That's a standard sized glass in my house... my mother taught me well!

Hi All! Scoopie, Jeanne, Sarah and Sue are back from Alaska. What a trip!
We can't wait to hear the details from Scoopie!

Mary & Mark- looks like you should have dryer weather today (of course... its the workweek for the rest of us again). Enjoy your day!

And a TOPpirate: to start my day-shared with almost everyone!

Good Morning Cruisers!

Welcome back Sue and SCOOPIE - can't wait to hear all about the adventures. :goodvibes

Labor Day - we will be a WDW Sept.2-4 thanks to a fluke at work, causing me to work the weekend before, so count DH and I in for a mini-meet. ::MickeyMo Seems like we might have several of us there. We are leaving the Sunday as DH has to work Monday....Can Scoopie join us? Must check schedule to see where Scoopie is!

Never leaving the boat in Nassua - yup, we concur (however, my recent interest in diving could alter this opinion) - Great time to book SPA appointments as everyone else is off the ship.... :cloud9: However, we were treated to a wonderful organ rehearsal at Christ Church, our highlight of our walking tour, on our own.

It's :umbrella: again, but at least it was dry for most of Father's Day afternoon....

Camping is on of my favorite activities.....we will need to exchange stories when we meet. :cheer2:

Did I miss a post or did we finally learn what stuff was given for FD presents?

About the lawn issue - "Oh dear, you mean it was June? I thought I said July". Seriously, these guys work for a living so perhaps it won't be the worse money you lost. Could have been more had you been in Vegas!!!!!

Mary - keep having fun in WDW and thanks for the posts.....You guys will not hear from us until we return from a trip, I'm afraid. :3dglasses

Later ship mates. pirate:

(Now use the preview frame) Bah - preview frame is slow....

Had a dream last night that it was 1 day until our cruise. Too bad I woke up!!!

Angie

Better than the dream that I had last night... the serial killer in the book that I'm reading (Murder List- Julie Garwood) was now after ME... I was really glad to wake up this morning!!!

Hi All! Scoopie, Jeanne, Sarah and Sue are back from Alaska. What a trip! Scoopie saw lots of things in Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier and Ketchican. I will post more later, still recovering from the time difference.

Sue

Can't wait to hear all the details. After all, we need your help in planning our 2007 trip to Alaska. You are coming too, right?

We've done Labor Day. In my opinion it is one of those weekends where you plan on going either first thing in the morning, spend a few hours, and than leave or go into the parks late at night. It will be hot and full. Or just go in and plan on not doing any rides. It's a great time to do all the things you never have time for, like eating around Epcot! :cool1:

There are some different types of dives in Nassau. Stuart Cove has shark diving, wall flying (that is the one I want to do next), Helmet diving, etc. This is the place to try something different vs just going and looking at reefs.

No fluff stuff here. Had a great day with DD taking good care of me. We finished the day with a round of putt putt. I drove the Beetle so it would not rain.

I got a new pair of hiking boots. The old pair finally wore out. Hate to throw them out as they have many good miles and memories on them. They have even been to Alaska.

It was fun getting the new pair. Went to a specialty store in Orlando that does boot fittings. They spend 30 minutes just sizing and measuring your foot before they recommend a boot. Once you get the boot then they go through a process to make sure they fit. It was fun and they fit great.

Now I just need to plan more trips to wear them out.

You are up and going early this morning. I hope Bear got Mark something really nice, oh...like a trip to WDW.

I can't wait to hear what Kevin got! :cool1: Need details.
OK, have a few minutes to relate the story.

I decided that I really "needed" a GPS. Looking at the different models out there I was torn between the Magellan 700 and the Garmin 2620. Both are about the same thing, but the Magellan had internal speakers and CostCo had it for $100 off. Being the tightwad person that I am, that was the one I went with.

Saga continues; After using this unit for about a week now I don't like it as much a the Garmin that you have. Mostly because of the Vias and waypoints insertion, the maps and the ability to find a point of interest nearest the route, which the Magellan didn't do as nicely. I have ordered the Garmin 2620 from CostCo and will return the other. Might even look at both units side to side for a REAL comparison.

Isn't EATING at EPCOT a major attraction. It is for us.

Hi guys (and gals).....thanks for the Congrats to Jared...and the comments on the pics.

I had been practicing and practicing with the camera. I wanted to get the "perfect" shot of the moon across the water...like Kevin has.....I finally figured out how to do it and I was sooooo excited.
We never even saw the moon the whole entire time! First of all, it wasn't a full moon....AND....it was so cloudy, you couldn't tell there even was a moon. Oh well, next time!

Welcome home, Sue, Jeanne & Scoopie! Can't wait for your reports!!

Be careful what you wish for... with this group, you might not want to tell them you want to see a moon... you may get more than you bargained for!!!:rotfl2:

If anyone is interested, I posted our trip report on the thread for the Mexican Riviera cruise that we were originally scheduled to go on. I had thought that they would be the only ones really interested.....
It's on the cruise meets board under "August 6th Mexican Riviera"

Neat photo's, cept for the one of the Pig.

I see that you were giving Scoopie his due, whilst chatting to fellow passangers.... :flower:

TOP FOR SALE _ TOP FOR SALE

I'm ok sharing the TOP with Stacey and Sharon, but not the pig...Anyone want it? :teeth:

Oh boy, you got that right! And trust me, there are some moons you never want to see!

Oh my gosh, my DD is unloading the dishwasher, and I didn't say a word to her! Hmm, she probably wants internet time tonight.

We were at WDW over Labor Day weekends once, in 2001, and I don't remember it being crowded at all. In fact, the following week was like a ghost town. Probably the least crowded of the three day weekends, anyway.

At least in Florida, school has started, and it is too soon to yank the kids out for a weekend!

That's the good thing about Costco, send it back.

The Garmin 2620 looks nice. I'm interested in what differences you find with Sharon's GPS. I would assume they run just about the same way since they are both Garmin.

The only problem you are going to have now is "What time are you going to be home?". They are going to want the exact time!
