Be careful what you wish for... with this group, you might not want to tell them you want to see a moon... you may get more than you bargained for!!!:rotfl2:
It's a good thing that DH can't keep up with this thread. This would be too tempting for him. I can remember seeing a full moon in our bedroom window as I was mowing our yard last summer:earseek: .

The Garmin 2620 looks nice.
I guess I'm lucky that DH isn't interested in GPS and things like that. He just wants the top-of-the-line table saw, pneumatic nail gun, vacuum veneer press, various router bits to create tongue and groove and an unlimited supply of oak and other woods to work with. I do have some nice pieces of furniture out of all of that, though, including a Windsor chair that he made last year.

Camping is on of my favorite activities.....we will need to exchange stories when we meet. :cheer2:

.

Camping to me is when there's no room service available... :rotfl2:

Good Morning Cruisers!

Labor Day - we will be a WDW Sept.2-4 thanks to a fluke at work, causing me to work the weekend before, so count DH and I in for a mini-meet. ::MickeyMo Seems like we might have several of us there. We are leaving the Sunday as DH has to work Monday....Can Scoopie join us? Must check schedule to see where Scoopie is!

.

Scoopie will be on the Repo cruise until Sept 3 with Ladypoo (Patty) - I'm sure at some point there will be a mini-meet because Scoopie is set to go cruisin' with Bear (and Mark and Mary) on Sept 4...

He's gonna be one well traveled cone by next May!

Better than the dream that I had last night... the serial killer in the book that I'm reading (Murder List- Julie Garwood) was now after ME... I was really glad to wake up this morning!!!

I enjoy reading Julie Garwood - her suspense books are good (also like Iris Johansen and Catherine Coulter's suspense series)- Have you read any of her romances? I giggled my way through them...I wish she'd write more!

Hey Scoopie - Love your photo album.... :flower:

Thanks! I'm learning as I'm going - now have to figure out how to add the "click to enlarge" option...It's one way I can justify spending so much time on the computer in between checking the boards...or, it's more like click over to something non DIS when I hear John's footsteps on the stairs... :rotfl2:

I haven't read her romances... just a few of her mysteries - I've read Mercy and Heartbreaker (I think that was it- the one with the arsonist and the priest, and the first of the Buchannan brothers). Killjoy will be next.

Glad someone else feels the way I do about camping! I love to hike, love to kayak, snorkel, etc... but put me in a real live BED with real live individual FACILITIES at night, thank you! No sleeping on the ground or the pseudo-dining-table for me!!

We were at WDW over Labor Day weekends once, in 2001, and I don't remember it being crowded at all. In fact, the following week was like a ghost town. Probably the least crowded of the three day weekends, anyway.

We plan to arrive the day after Labor Day when we schedule trips - or at least that was when the kids weren't in school - it's my favorite time to go...we also went mid-October for our honeymoon - not as empty as the week after Labor Day but, still nice...

Meeting y'all would be sooo tempting - but, my 20th reunion is Labor Day weekend in Chicago - and once again I'll miss Mary and Mark... :sad1:

There must be an echo in the house because that is what Sharon thinks!

I had been practicing and practicing with the camera. I wanted to get the "perfect" shot of the moon across the water...like Kevin has.....I finally figured out how to do it and I was sooooo excited.
We never even saw the moon the whole entire time! First of all, it wasn't a full moon....AND....it was so cloudy, you couldn't tell there even was a moon. Oh well, next time!

So much of photography is being in the right place at the right time. You would not believe how many fish butt pictures I have thrown out. Of course underwater add another dimension to "getting the right shot", but that is the real beauty of digital!!

For those of you that don't know what Stacey is talking about, here is again. Taking from our veranda on the starboard side after dinner one night.

Sounds like the "Christmas List"!! :rotfl2:

Hi All! Scoopie, Jeanne, Sarah and Sue are back from Alaska. What a trip! Scoopie saw lots of things in Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier and Ketchican. I will post more later, still recovering from the time difference.

Sue

Welcome home and back to reality!!!!!!!!!:goodvibes
