I'll need to hear more about this hike on the Magic, holding a drink with a little umbrella in it. :umbrella:

I don't know if they still do the hiking tours, but their website is www.cherryvalleyvineyards.com. But I'll still be glad to tell you all about it while holding a drink with a little umbrella in it!

A TOP shared with Irene and wine!!!!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes..... Irene - Happy Birthday to you too.....

Busy day - I spent the day in Pittsburgh - my dad had surgery again today to replce his knee and fix the fracture. The initial surgery was just to stabilize it. I was heading back to Charleston - as he was doing fine after surgery... when I got the call that he was having a hard time waking up.... so I decided to spend the night in Morgantown.

I appreciate all of the PD and prayers....

Take care!

Hey everybody. I haven't been able to get on the boards lately, either because I have been too busy or the boards have been too slow. Sorry I have missed everyone's birthday (Belated Wishes to everyone) and Virgil, glad to hear your dad is doing better.

My dad is still doing great after the surgery. Matter of fact, the doctor gave him an early clearance to drive on to Austin, so they are leaving around 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. So, I will have just a little over a week to get my house in order and get packed for our trip.

Sure is getting hard to catch up on the posts when you have been off the boards anytime at all.

P.S. YEAHHHHH School is Done!!

Hey, did anyone watch American Idol tonight. Loved the song with Carrie and Rascal Flats. Really glad to see Carrie win. Liked Bo, but really liked Carrie

Hey,
Just thought I would let you all know that when I was on the Wonder May15th 2005. I was checking with the CM who does the rebooking and guess what? The May 27-06 cruise had over 600 people already booked, I don't know how many rooms that is but she said it could be sold out earlier then most of the cruises that they have had in the past. I guess we are going to be on a very full ship! LOL

This is my final check in before we pick up Kevin and Alicia for diving. Hopefully they got in okay last night. Sharon and Diana meet up tomorrow and do WDW. We come back on Saturday for V&A.

Sunday is our day to drop Matt off at MCO for his 6 weeks in Costa Rica. It's not him I am worried about, it's The Mom. Thankfully we will be spending the weekend in WDW with Kevin and Diana and that should take her mind off her baby.

Virgil - PD your way. Safe travels to everyone this weekend! :grouphug:

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Thursday!

Virgil - continued prayers and pixie dust for your Dad. Not the best way to spend a birthday, but you are a good son!

Jim, Kevin, Matt & Alicia - have a great time diving today!

Diana & Sharon - have fun at WDW.

Matt - have a wonderful time in Costa Rica - what an awesome experience!

Yup, watched it. I thought Carrie outsung Rascal Flats. He was a bit pitchy. It was just alright for me, man. No, seriously. I'm 1/2 tone deaf, but that guy wasn't that good when compared to Carrie.

We were a split household here. Nick and I rooting for Bo, KT and Mike rooting for Carrie. Although either of them would have made an excellent choice, so I'm not disappointed. We'll be looking forward to buying BOTH of their CD's, because they both will have great record contracts....Carrie just gets the jet. ;)

Continued prayers for your dad, Virgil.

And for all who are travelling! :)

Good Morning, Everyone!!!

Pixie dust and prayers to all the travelers this weekend...An extra dose for Virgil and his family!

School's out tomorrow - today is the 4th grade party - and I'm the room mom  - oh boy!!! 10:00-12:00 splash party complete with water balloons, sponges, buckets of water and plenty of wacky relays...12:00-1:30 pizza party - 1:30 come come home, crash and dive for the advil and chocolate. No rest for the weary - 5:30 off to volleyball party at Mr. Gatti's - think Chuckie Cheese...Still more advil and chocolate to recouperate by the time I finish...Might even have to start the "margararita while DISing" routine a day early... :drinking1

Just realized - One year from today - we'll be traveling on our way to the Magic...

You are a sucker for punishment, aren't you!!!!

School ended yesterday here... time out for a brief mommy-brag... as many of you may remember from my previous ranting posts, Elizabeth has had a MAJOR conflict with her teacher all year... boy was she surprised yesterday when she received the "Excellence in Writing" award at the 5th grade ceremony. She also walked away with the "Team Spirit Award" for drill team, a Perfect Attendance Award (and trophy) and a Safety Patrol award... and I didn't go because she told me she wasn't getting anything, and I had a busy day at work. (Had I known, I would have rearranged my schedule... at least Ray was there.)

What she SHOULD have gotten was the "Most Visits to the Nurse" award... her way of escaping the wrath and indifference of her teacher was to feign illness... 46 times in 180 days!!!!!! And 46 times, when the nurse called me, I told her to send her back to class.

Thank God that this year is over!!!!

Oh yeah, I can fully relate :grouphug: - last year was a very difficult year for Mike and me with his teacher. Plenty of tears on both our parts...This year he was blessed with not one, but THREE (started switching classrooms for different subjects) fantastic teachers who absolutely love him, understand and can channel his energy, and his unabashed enthusiasm (sometimes, too much) for learning. They each have said they get energized by his enthusasm....It has been a wonderful confidence building year and I am so thankful for these three women who rekindled Mike's love of school and learning... So, hang in there - next year is a new year!!! It can only get better!!!!

YEAH! We usually like to fly in the day or night before as well!

As for American Idol. I really liked them both, but I was glad Carrie won. I think she fits the mold better of American Idol and what they are looking for. Coming in second gives Bo the exposure but without the same contract restrictions. He'll be signed to his own great contract and can stay more true to himself IMHO. In the case of American Idol 2nd place is not the first loser. Look at Clay.

Happy Belated Birthday to Virgil and Irene!!! Sorry I'm a little late. Been a little crazy and sick in bed for 2 days. Some kind of bug or something.

I can't believe that we will be able to say that it's less than 1 year away for our Cruise!!!! :cool1: I can't wait!!! Hey, I can remember last year at this time, so another year won't take too long. We get to pull another rung off our paper chain on Saturday. Down to 52 weeks!!! Oh my Gawd!!

So according to Disney Fans our cruise looks like it's going to be full. Pretty popular cruise I'd say, huh?

Is it true that we are able to book Palo and kids' clubs online? I have to wait though, right? Obviously it has to be paid for first. But that will eliminate all the hustle and bustle on embarkation.

OK, gotta go and do some laundry, etc. Construction continues here.

TTFN,
Maria

Maria - yes booking can now be done online. Timeframe is as follows:

105 days out for concierge guests (cats 1, 2, & 3)

90 days out for Castaway Club guests (those who have cruised DCL before)

75 days out for first time DCL guests

Woo Hoo - got an unexpected top with Maria!

A little thing we used to do from time to time on the 10 day thread. Who has posted the most on the thread. As of this writing:

Ok - guess it doesn't work as well as it used to under HTML. Here are the top 10

dzneprincess783
tinksdad715
kikipug633
scubadiver543
WDWLVR536
ohiominnie451
justmestace387
Dancind319
mickeymo249
CajunGirl2163

Wow! I'm surprised I made it in to the top 10. Oh, but maybe that's because there is not many more than 10 of us posting. :confused3 Oh well!

There are a ton more than ten posting. If you want to see the full list just go the screen where you click to get into the thread. Over on the far right is the number of replies. If you click on that number it will bring up the list.

Used to be you could copy and post the list into a post and it stayed in a grid. It doesn't anymore (mostly because of taking html away). Anyway it is fun to see who chats the most. Speaking of which - with Scuba Jim Diving and doing WDW this weekend here is my chance to move past him. :)

Speaking of being chatty - I just realized I went past my 10,000th post and didn't even realize it. I hope I said something profound - but my guess is I didn't. :)
