Well, the Scuba Family meet the Mouse Family (OhioMinnie, OhioMickey, KT & Nick) at MGM today. It was a lot of fun. Within the first hour, we were able to pack in 3 times on Rockin Roller Coaster (with KT & Lisa getting Car #1 on the first ride of the morning) and 2 times on Tower of Terror. The Great Movie Ride broke down and we spent 15 minutes in the Casablanca area (thank goodness it wasn't the Wizard of Oz area, Jim could not have taken 15 minutes of "munchkin" singing.). The Mouse Family was able to get passes to the new Stunt Driving Show at MGM, but we had to leave to come home. Lisa has Koren School on Sunday afternoons and we are really trying to do better to make sure she attends more regularly.

Chip&Dale&fun - welcome to our little family here. Don't worry, we'll get you shirts, too. Where are you guys from? Check out WDWLVR's website. It's great. Let's you put a face to a name. Make sure you send a picture of yourselves. The info you'll need is: Names and birthdates, cabin #, early or late seating and where you're from. Well, feel free to chime right in. I think the rest of these guys are hysterical.

Speaking of T-shirts, about how many do we need? Can everyone just give me an idea? I guess sizes, if you have them. But not necessary right now. I want to just make sure my friend is willing to do the number we need. I know more people are going to be joining in. There's goes the compulsive planner in me. I never like to wait til the last minute.

TTFN,

Maria:flower:

We'll need 2 adult XL and an adult S (or M if they don't come in S).

Yesterday the Scuba Family spent at EPCOT celebrating Matt's 15th Birthday. He was "king" for the day and we did whatever he wanted at the speed he choose. He worked out great. We tried "Soarin'" at the Land - a definate new favorite of mine. We went on Mission to Mars, Test Track, and the kids did the Arcade Area and allowed Jim and I to go back on "Soarin'". The lines weren't bad at all. We went back to the Swan for "Pool Time" and for some "Nap Time". We had dinner at the Yacht's Man Steakhouse - wonderful and then topped the evening off watching the EPCOT fireworks.

Lisa is now trying to convince us to go over next Saturday so she can spend so more time with KT and Nick (they are there for two weeks - my kids (and I am) VERY jealous.) We will have to see how the week plays out, but I may contact Karen to see what they are up to and see if I can connect the kids again.

Sharon - sounds like you guys had a fun weekend. Soarin' is a favorite of ours as well (we did it at California Adventure).

I'm already famous!

For those of you not on the 10 day - Bear belongs to Mark and I. Some history can be found on the first day of our trip report. Click here to access that.

We've had an interesting weekend. Took down some sagging ceiling tiles in upstairs hallway around noon only to find falling down ceiling plaster underneath. Started looking at the plaster pieces and see what looks like black fuzzy stuff. We start tearing down all of plaster, lathe and blown in insulation in the 8 X 15 area. Of course it's over the stairwell, so we have 8 - 15 inches of plaster/insulation mix all over the stairs, blocking access to the bedrooms and shower. It's now 2:30 and we have church at 6:00, and I am running the powerpoint. The only logical thing to do is check into a hotel. DS is thrilled because they have a pool. We get there, get cleaned up, go to church and when we get back the pool is full of GIRLS. It seems there is a state gymnastics meet in town, and he doesn't want to get in the pool with all the little gymnasts. Finally get in around 10:00 only to have about 8 girls get back in 10 minutes later. Anyway, we got the mess cleaned up this morning. Now I have to clean the layer of dust off of everything in the house.

Welcome to Chip&Dale.

After reading Whnim64 up there, I will NOT complain about our little projects!

Sharon.....sounds like you guys had an EXCELLENT time! I am soooooooo jealous that you can go do that. WHY did I choose to move to AZ 25 years ago instead of Florida?????:confused3
I guess if I hadn't moved here, I wouldn't have met Jay....you know, that whole "there's a reason for everything".......
I will live vicariously through you all!

We're thinking of buying some land in central Florida. We wouldn't build for 5 or more years. Anyone have any information on Ridge Manor FL, due west of Orlando?

ok - you guys are true Disney Cruise Fans, so be kind to us newbies. I thought I'd "finally" let you know that we (DH & I) will be joining you as I have been trying to catch up on these posts.....you are a chatty group and I love the daily welcomes from WDWLVR. Guess we'll need more shirts?
..snip...
Just got back in from a dive weekend (more on that in a bit) Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!

As others have said before, we are a great group! Friends we've met and other friends we haven't yet. Jump on in and have fun! the water is fine!

Sharon, I thought it was funny that you guys hadn't been to WDW in a while the first time we dragged you down there. You seem to be making up for lost time these days, meeting up with all of us! No big deal, missing the new attraction. After all, you can always see it NEXT weekend.

Welcome to Chip & Dale!

whnim, we're thinking of doing the same thing, buying a lot. Don't know anything about that area, you might try the Community Board. Let us know if you find out anything!

Sounds like another good excuse for a diving trip
When?? Need one more??

As I mentioned before, we just got back from three days at the our local dive spot. I had classes to assist with and Alicia had the open water portion of her advanced open water classes. That busy girl took the classes back in September of last year and has just been able to go on the weekend that the AOW instructor was going now. (dance, dance, dance...)

Anyway, it was interesting weather. Slightly cold Friday evening and Saturday (especially for those in wetsuits) Sunday was nicer. It's May now weatherman, let's have some of the good stuff please!!! :earseek:

Alicia did fantastic on her navigation skills. Right back to the spot with a square and triangle coordinate navigation routine. I'm so proud!!
Kid is a a pretty good diver and can definitely hold her own with even the best adult divers! She was even getting used to a new (slightly larger drysuit too!)

Can't wait until the end of the month to dive some warmer waters.

I'm sure we will sometime between now and the cruise :)

TiggerNY, we will need three t-shirts. DH told me that I need to tell you that. I said "already"?

Well, we are only a year out now!

Oh, and DD would like her cone dipped in chocolate please.

I got the polo shirt before and really only want that kind. Regular tees just seem kind of rinky dink after wearing a Polo!!

1 XL (assuming they are cotton)
1 L
1 M

Thanks for the dive update. Great to hear Alicia did well. I would expect nothing else from her after seeing her dive. She is a good diver, in fact both our kids are good divers.

Much of that is because we get them in the water. Need to keep training and practicing or they forget the skills. Honey, it's only for the children! ;)

Kevin, got some pictures for you.

Sharon forgot to mention that since OhioMickey and OhioMinnie are here, it is wet and overcast. Looks just like Ohio. I'm not planning on doing anything outdoors until they go back home.

Getting close to post #5000 - wonder who is going to grab it?:)
