RCL vs Norwegian Cruise Line

Hi all. Our family have cruised DCL and RCL, with more cruises on Royal Caribbean and have been talking about trying other cruise lines. Specifically, we’re looking at Norwegian and some of the newer ships they offer with the go-kart tracks as we’d be sailing to Mexico.

My question is, I know Disney and Royal Caribbean are considered “resort” style cruise ships whereas maybe a cruise line like Holland is more of a traditional cruise line with not many kids on board. Is Norwegian considered a “resort” style cruise line with many kids such as Royal Caribbean and Disney or is it more of a traditional cruise line? Again, we’re looking at the ships with the go-kart tracks thinking if they have a go-kart track, it must be a “resort” style ship but never been so wanted to get some feedback.

I would say that NCL is very resort style and family friendly. There are some adult oriented things but is definitely much more on par with Royal than Holland America.
