I'd actually like one of the wireless thermometers Jim was talking about.

This one looks nice

What do you chefs think. Seems like I have more a chance getting one of those than a GPS..... :rolleyes1

Our 'wired' one just died... that might be a good Christmas gift this year... (just in time to cook Christmas dinner)... how thoughtful am I??? After all, we'll have all of my family here for Christmas... they'll want to be fed... they miss Ray's cooking!!

Ok, so pretend you were going shopping for one...http://www.ewins.com/odgrills/ which one would you get and why? And yes Kevin, my lovig husband is worth every single penny, but geez do you know what **I** could get at WDW with the money????;)

In all seriousness, if I was going to buy a new grill I would head to Costco. They have some nice stainless grills and they have a return for life policy.

Hey y'all!

It was a busy weekend for us & busy day at work for me today so I'm just getting around to the boards tonight. I tried reading through all of the FLUFF but decided to give up. Hopefully you crazies won't be up all night again tonight. Time for me to hit the sack. I'm one of those that gets up at 5:00 AM.

OK, I must get some sleep tonight so I am heading to bed. I know all you non fluffernutters will appreciate a nice quiet night tonight......

It's not how many probes you have that makes the difference....it's how you use them!

See my new motto above!
Since KikiKaren wont tell me how to quote more than one person at a time, I am resigned to telling people to look at the last few posts for frame of reference! LOL

I'll try to tell you...

in order to quote someone you have to type [ quote = their name ] (but you can't leave spaces in that)....

then you copy and paste whatever you want to have them quoted as saying (you can scroll down the reply page to find it or have a separate window open)

then at the end of each person's quote you end with [ / quote ] --again, no spaces.

you don't have to type their dis name after the initial [ quote = ] string...

I can do this

Diana got me one of these last year for my birthday. It's really great for the tailgate cookouts or small outings, camping that sort of thing.

I would ask some "round-a-bout" questions and get him to define what he wants to use it for. For a few burgers, anything works pretty well, for more complex meals, then there are different parameters.

That thing looks like something out of Roswell! Wow!

Not here. There is no round a bout. It goes something like this "mike, what do you want the kids to get you for Father's day?"
"I want a (fill in the blank.)"
"ok, you buy it so you're sure to get exactly what you want, and we'll wrap it for you." ;)

should be time for a top, but I'll bet there is a pirate: lurking

surprise, surprise!! A TOP, planned and yet unexpected!

That's Diana's mode of operation. Better to be pleased than surprised!

Well, it's not like he ever wants a tie, or a sweater, or something EASY.

He wants an iPod G4 with 20G and a USB firewire downloadable assay drive with the NiCad rechargable PF456-85 battery.

Ok, you lost me at "iPod."

He's getting nothing for Father's Day this year....we bought each other a really nice digital camera for our respective "parent's days." The kids made him some stuff at the ceramic place. Won't he love that!?!?!? But they do have NiCad rechargable PF 456-85 batteries!! ;)
