Happy Sunday!

Woke up to a very cold day here in Chicago - only 13 right now. I'm ready for Spring!

.

Sorry it is soo cold for you. I had to relent yesterday and turn on the AC. But it was so cold and windy just on Thursday! So tommorrow is likely to be cold again, whoknowws!! At least you know it is cold, and it will be cold. LOL This crap down here is just messing with our sinuses and our closets!

PS about the late dining, we did well with it this past November. Thats even considering we had a 1 year old with us. He ate with us every night except Palo's night. It was nice not to have to rush back and get ready for dinner. True the shows are early, but I think they are 30 minutes later than the 1st seating of dinner, and it seems like there was always about 30 minutes between the show and late dinner also. It was so much more relaxed. We did not have to rush, and the nights that we skipped shows (Hercules and WWTBAM and farewll show) then we had plenty of time to relax, and yes if we were running late, we could take quick showers, throw some clothes on,go to the show, and then go back to the room to finish getting ready. JMTW

Hey experts, this DDE card, it costs $50 right? will I get $50 and then some out of it for 1 adult 3 kids for 5 days? I have not ordered my AP's yet. Can I buy the DDE once I get to WDW? At the front desk maybe?

The DDE card is $50 with an AP. That gives you 20% off meals (including alcohol) at selected resturants. Whether or not it will save you money depends on your dining plans. We bought it for our trip in June because we'll be there for a week (and then another 3 days in September before/after the DVC Member Cruise.

As far as a I know you can only buy it via phone - not onsite. It is also good for one year from when you buy it - not when you first use it.

Thanks Mary. Do I have to have AP in hand to order it? I think I would get good use out of it. I have the 5 days coming up in May, and possibly 2 more days in Sept for DH and I, and then another week pre cruise next year.

It's quiet time. They have all left for WDW. I only had to make one grocery store run today. I don't know what DW is cooking for dinner tonight, but I'm not cooking anything.

Now for the sad news, our neighbor's mom died this morning. She is in her 80's so she had a great and long life, for that everyone is thankful. It was very quick after her stroke which is a blessing. No lingering or painful death. So another funeral this week.

Hopefully that is the last one for a while.

I would think so - maybe not the AP itself but at least the voucher. Don't know that for sure however.

Amanda, you might want to take a look at the list of retaurants that accept it. Mostly the nicer, sit down restaurants at the parks, except AK where they only have counter service. It's also good at the Pop food court.

Jim, sorry to hear about your friend's Mother.

Hope you steered the eating machines to one of the buffets at MK. I'm sure they could get their moneys worth.

Sorry to hear about your neighbor, Jim... you've certainly had a rough two weeks... you need some good news for a change.

You have had quite a time of it lately haven't you?? Sounds like all are peaceful with the situation.

When I go, I hope I go just like grandpa, in his sleep. Not like the rest of the people in the car......... :earseek:

just a little levity folks, not meant to offend.

You are home from diving early. Check you email and give me a call. We can talk tonight.

Great idea. We have not done any of the buffets at MK. Which one do you recommend? I'll call them tonight and let them know.

The good news is that TinksDad and I are going to talk about diving.

And than there is cooking class tomorrow night, after which I have to drive to WDW to pick up Matt.

Funny!

I posted this on the San Diego thread, but I'll ask here too...

Have any of you eaten at Ole' Madrid or Seville in the Gaslamp District?? If so... any feedback???

Looking for good REAL Spanish food while we are there next week, and know that there are those 2 restaurants right there. Not looking forward to my 5AM flight on Saturday... that means getting up at 2... why bother sleeping at all????

 Yeah!! the diving plans are intact and in-place. Getting wet with salt water is a WONDERFUL thing!!

Jim, I've got a new Sea & Sea YS90 strobe that I plan on bringing as well. Gotta light the reefs with virtual sunshine.

It's been too long since we've been to San Diego. We have eaten down by the wharf but not the Gaslight district.

:earseek: 2am!! :earseek: Now THAT's just not right!! :guilty:
