Is anyone else not receiving email notification on any threads?
No! thank goodness!!

Actually, I had signed up for notification on the last Christmas Cruise thread and it dove me crazy with all the emails I was getting, so I canceled that.

Have noticed that is came in spurts, nothing for awhile then, BAM a bunch at one time.

just one man's opinion.

Great idea. We have not done any of the buffets at MK. Which one do you recommend? I'll call them tonight and let them know.

Is it too late? LOL We haven't actually eaten at any of the buffets there either, but I hear that Crystal Palace is the best one. If they want to hop on the monorail, O'Hana is all you can eat MEAT. That might work out well.

Hi everybody! Our long swim weekend is finally over. In addition, we had District Science Fair this weekend. It was a great swim meet and Ashley did very well. She improved times in all of the events she swam in. She came in 2nd place in 2 events just barely being beaten in both of those, 2 - 4th places ,a 5th, a 6th and an 8th. We had one event (200 IM) on Friday and then 3 events yesterday and 3 events today, plus relays each day. Her relay team also came in 3rd. Because it was the Border Champs meet, it made for very long days because all of the age groups swam together. We were there both days from about 7 am until 3 or 3:30 p.m. I know she did the swimming, but I am pooped.

It may take me a few days to get back into the swing. I had to come home tonight and put together a powerpoint for a presentation at work on Tuesday. Only 5 more work days befoe Spring Break (woohoooooo).

Good night everyone!

We have never eaten at the Crystal Palace, but that would be a good place for them because of the amount of food they eat. I'll call them in the morning.

Another early morning, :sunny: . Maybe not here but somewhere. Busy day, curves for me then 2 drs for Jeanne, then pick up Emmy, 4yo niece. She will spend the night with me, alone, for the first time. Hope we can sleep.

Jim, sorry about your sad news.

Kevin, loved the grandpa joke. I should send it to sr ctr with Jeanne (remember she can't read).

:flower1:Good morning cruisers!:flower1:

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday to All!!!

Back to reality for the kids, spring break is over - Now it's time for my break!! :cool1:

Mary, thanks for the Chicago weather updates - my dad actually giggled when I told him yesterday's a.m. temp was 13 degrees...I'm sure the standing joke with his friends will be that his daughter drove him around topless (the beetle convertible, not me personally...) :rotfl:

Kevin, he loved the Hugh Manatee joke - we're usually subjected to tons of jokes, one-liners and puns, so I saved up your posts of jokes and let him have it in return...

Have a great day!!!

MY apologies to everyone else, this may encourage him to post more.... ;)

I'm being bad today ... surfing when I should be working. :rolleyes1

Anyway, went to disneydirect.com to see what pins they have and saw that they have summer clothing out. There are a few "tropical" print dresses/skirt/capris that are for ladies. I really like the aloha capris - very understated and not that expensive. I think I'll be ordering them for myself and hope they still fit & look nice for next year's cruise.

As far as trading pins, where is a good place to get them? My neice & nephew have gotten in to pin trading (they live in Orlando area). I ordered one of the Disney Visa special release princess pins for my neice but am now feeling guilty that I don't have anything for my nephew. Should I order online somewhere or just send my sister the $ to let him pick out his own pin next time they're at DW.

My son still have the remnants of whatever germ he caught, so I had to keep him home today... now I am 'forced' to work from home.... poolside, sweet tea in hand, listening to my waterfall... wow... really stinks to miss work.

Actually, I AM getting work done... there are a lot less interruptions here, even with both kids home. (no school today... teachers workshop or something... couldn't send DS to the Y with a fever... he'd run himself into the ground in no time.) Besides work, I am packing for my trip... which is a BUSINESS trip, so why not pack on company time???

I prefer ebay. ;)

that is, if I'm not at WDW! :)

Don't worry, I can only post the "good" ones..... That's why I labeled that one as a groaner. IT WAS!! But still kind of funny, in a weird way. :rotfl2:

Jillie, where have you bean??

Sorry, they did encourage me!! :rotfl2:

Welcome to the crazy group! Sounds like you know your way around the DCL.

Jump right in and post away, this way we get to know each other and have a bit of fun to boot!!

PS: That is one BIG dog you have there!! :rotfl2:

Hi Jill!! Welcome! Always room for more, we were kind of getting tired of talking to ourselves. (Joking)

Please just jump in, we're all about fluff at this point. The serious discussions about excursions, etc, will happen later. We have several teens in the group, they will probably start their own thread again when it gets closer to cruise time.

Who's got the peanut butter????

Welcome Jill... most of these crazy people have cruised together before- I haven't, but we've gotten to know each other already... and we've got lots of time before we cruise!!!!!!

I have a DD12 (at cruise time too...) , DS9 , we are in 2032, and have early dinner... glad to know I'm not the only one with a 'steerage level' cabin!!!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! You'll be seeing me around! :wave2:

Dancid: DD will be excited to know about your DD being on the ship (in steerage with us no less!) :sunny:

Jill,

Welcome Jill. I'm new to DCL and the whole cruise thing. It'll be me (39 at cruise time like you), DH (42), DD (5.5) & DD (3.5).

Where in ATL area do you live? We're in Alpharetta.

Angie
