HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Monica, thanks for the link to that show! Hysterical! WKRP was one of my favorites (way back when!) :)

No snow here in Georgia, but we FINALLY had rain! :yay: (never thought I'd get so excited over rain! :lmao:)

Do y'all remember Mike Super, the magician on our cruise? He won PHENOMENON last night! (and $250,000 :woohoo:) Do you think there's any chance he'll work for DCL again?!
:sad2:

Karen, if you get a chance, send me the kids' performance dates and places. It's probably close enough that Megan & Dave might be able to come. Megan always loved the theater.

I got the e-mail again that's floated around for a while...and wished I'd played the trick on Jordan.

Cook a small cornish game hen and at the last minute, stuff it into the turkey. I honestly think she'd really believe that we'd cooked a pregnant turnkey.

He WON!!!! I hadn't watched the show, but had read about him being on it... that's so cool! Ray still talks about him all the time... wants to know where the heck that bowling ball came from...

This is me doing the happy dance!!!
My sister had T-giving at her house today, and convinced my Mom and Dad to let us take them on a cruise for their 50th... wooooo hoooo!!!!

So, we're trying to book June 22 on NCL from Boston to Bermuda... for about 25 of us. Besides my siblings, nieces, nephews, and grand-neice, my mother-in-law wants to go... so does my sister's mother-in-law, and possibly my brother's father-in-law, an aunt and uncle, and a few friends... the more the merrier!!

Happy Day After Thanksgiving! No shopping for me, slept in and finished a book. Then went for a run, well, it was more like a shuffle... Why couldn't getting in shape be just as easy as getting out of shape? :confused3 :lmao:

I have to tackle the mountain of laundry today and clean. John is finishing the last of the painting this weekend - no Christmas decorating until it's done! I've rubbed off on the kids, they have been complaining all week about the overwhelming amount of Christmas decorations on display before Thanksgiving. So, even though it's technically not Christmas season yet until advent - the tree will go up this weekend because it's our only free weekend until Christmas...

No shopping for me, either. They'd have to pay ME to hit the stores on Black Friday. Jordan convinced the boyfriend to take her. LOL Poor guy, doesn't know what he's in for!!

Slept in, did some laundry and have been working on the Christmas cards.

Mike, the kids, and I left for the mall at 5:30. We stopped by McD's for some grub, then ended up getting to the mall (that's EASTON for you Virgil) by 6:30. Picked up a couple of things that were #1--on the list of things to get and #2--not on mega sale, then by 7:45 we were sitting in the AMC theater waiting for Enchanted to start. Saw the movie and by the time we were done, all the shops were closed, so we went home.

Oh....Did I mention we left for the mall at 5:30 PM?? ;) :lmao:

I am now officially done with about 95% of my Christmas shopping! :)

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We had snow here today. Gone now, but white enough for a while that I took Alicia to work at 5 and made Kevin pick her up at 9:45.

Alicia and I adopted a kitten today. He's 3 mos, black & white and a lover boy. Had him named Mickey (Oh Mickey came on the radio just as we left the shelter) until Kevin got home and decided he is a Merlin. Kitty has eyebrow hairs as long as his whiskers.

Monica, doesn't the pilates keep you in shape? Don't tell me that if I get where I can do some Pilates, I have to RUN too?

We did a bit of shopping today, but not at the mall, or Walmart, or anywhere with a crowd. We went to Buffalo Exchange!

We are back from our HA cruise. Had a great time.

We will report more on the +/- over DIS soon. Time to do some laundry.

Can't wait to hear your report.....

Just had to share this with everyone. Today was decorating day and one of my favorites of the holiday season. As I put each ornament on the tree it brings back a memory. From the satin ball Santa that was given to me by a clerk at Jewel (a local grocery store) back when I was about 6, to the entire collection of Hallmark Frosty Friends (they were my Mom's and we've kept up the collection), then there are many Disney ornaments like the pewter ones DVC gives out at the Merry Member Mixers and of course those given by friends on our cruises - especially the 2004 Holiday Cruise. Takes a long time to decorate as I really look at each one and bring the memories back.

Well while I was decorating Mark was up cleaning the attic and found an old box of mine with books in it. You aren't going to believe this - inside was a 1982 Steve Birnbaum brings you the best of Walt Disney World. Talk about memories! Some highlights:

  • A tower room in the Contemporary will set you back $95 a night.
  • A one day ticket to the Magic Kingdom (all that was open at that time is $11.50 if you are staying onsite and $13 if you are staying offsite.
  • Are you a smoker? Stop by the Tobacconist on Main Street for a full variety of smokers aids and special match books.
  • Come visit the Epcot Preview Center in the Magic Kingdom.
  • Be sure and catch the Tencennial Parade celebrating 10 years of Walt Disney World.
  • Want Sunday Brunch? Head up to the Top of the World Supper Club at the Contemporary.
  • Looking to do some shopping? Then head over to the Walt Disney World Village.
Well I could go on and on but you get the idea. So today was definately a day of memories.

Awww....Diana, I'm glad you guys decided you were ready for a new baby!! You'll have to post a picture of Merlin. I like that name.

Mary....that's awesome to find that book! I bet it WAS fun going through and remembering all the things that have since changed.

Sharon & Jim....waiting for a report, here, too. Even a sneak peek would be good.

Sharon & Jim....waiting for a report, here, too. Even a sneak peek would be good.

It's 8:00. I'm going to bed. No sneak peek tonight.

I have a 66 mile bike ride in the morning. After that you will get the details.

Checking in to see if Jim is back from his bike ride...

Thanks, Stacey. It had come to this, random people kept offering Alicia kittens. I really wanted to find another Siamese cross kitten, or at least make sure we got a love bug. So I suggested a stop at the humane society. As you know, you don't go to these places and come out empty handed. Merlin is more of a Maine Coone cross, with the tail longer than his body and the feathered ears. He's very sweet, though a little too talkative. He doesn't bite or claw us (yay!). He gets lost, so we have to help him find his food, water, litter box, and us. He has to be with one of us. And he's sleeping with Alicia, right on her chest. I keep reminding her that real babies are even worse. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to do listings with a kitten on my lap. Alicia is at work, Kevin is at Bosque something taking pictures, so Merlin is all mine for now.

When the photographer returns, I will get him to take a picture.
