We talked to Matt last night. He was getting riding to go mountain biking with some of the other staffers. 3 life guards who live in the building next to his. They just happen to be college age females.

He is going horseback riding with them on Saturday. :rolleyes1

His summer job sure beats every summer job I ever had.

Sandi,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your daughter!

Thank you for your prayers and pixie dust. The dr. took her uterus and found tumors on her ovaries. He sent them off to pathology and they were the same cancer as in her uterus, so he removed them also. He also removed some lymph nodes, but said they looked ok. He sent them to pathology, and we will find out on Wednesday if they were cancerous. I imagine that will determine if she needs chemo or not. I'm taking a map of Castaway Cay and info on Nassau with me when I go down to take care or her. That way I can get her thinking of our cruise in November.

Hi Sandi,

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter's surgery and diagnosis. We will be sure to keep her, you (and the family) in our prayers. I'm sure the maps you bring will make her smile. Just having mom around is a huge comfort. What a great mom you are.

So who wrote "that" legislation????? :rolleyes1

Sir Scuba himself!!! You can ask him his reasoning, but I think he wanted the kids to feel more responsible for this day rather than asking Mom or Dad for the money to buy a gift with. I got rooms cleaned for Mothers Day and a card they used old pictures to create (Matt was available for the technical aspect of printing photos from the computer. Lisa doesn't know how that I am aware of, so with Matt in Michigan . . . . . )

Elizabeth is working on a powerpoint slideshow for Ray for Father's Day... Last I knew this morning, she was searching the garage for Ray's baby book to scan some old photos...if its anything like the one she did for Christopher for his birthday, I think she's found her calling. Now, this was a really tough year for her in school, but the one thing that she mastered... in a matter of minutes, it seems, is Power Point. She really impressed me! So maybe there's hope for her beyond "paper or plastic"!

Actually, she pulled it out for the end of the year, and managed to salvage her final grades with something that, while not what I would like to see, was much better than where she ended last year. We ended up letting her (finally) get her cell phone... it was more inconvenient for US not to be able to reach her than it was to withold it til she got back on honor roll...

Today I finally looked at our Montana pictures. Here are a couple of real keepers.

Matt can always find a place to take a nap.

And we had the finest accomidations.

Where else can sit with a cup of coffee with a view like this?

Wow, hmmm.....maybe I should change my September plans. I was going to stay here:

Here's where we're planning (hopefully) to stay in September :lmao:

Even as our second choice, it still beats a piece of canvas for privacy! ;) But then again by my standards, no room service is roughing it..:lmao:

True, Karen...I think I had a nice view with my morning coffee this past week, but I could be wrong......LOL

Well, courtesy of USAirways, we are spending an extra night and entire day in Charlotte, N.C.
Our flight out of T & C was delayed long enough for us to miss our connection home, so they have us going out tonight at 8 pm, through Vegas and then home. There just wasn't much going that way.
Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. They gave us two rooms at a fairly nice Sheraton, lots of food vouchers, and things could be much worse.

I guess the vacation did me some good, because things like this used to make me nearly insane, and I'm not bugged at all.:confused3

A resort question, in trying to decide between the value resorts...

Pop Century is not available and I know enough to stay away from Sports because of the groups.

So that leaves Music and Movies - is one better than the other in terms of transportation to the parks? Do they share bus transportation with another resort? Does either have direct lines to the parks, or is there multiple stops? Any other preferences that would sway the decision one way or another...

Just waiting to hear from the grandparents to see if they can kidsit...(fingers crossed...)

It seems like Christmas morning around here...Today is the day Maggie goes to Girl Scout Camp, she was up early, bouncing around. :cloud9: For the last hour, she's been counting down the minutes until leaving, leapfrogging the dog, and in general going crazy, she's so excited...

Actually, I take it back - not quite Christmas crazy, more like cruise crazy...:dance3:

Here I am, to bump us off the second page to the first. Sorry I haven't been around. I was out of town with the laptop, but internet time was limited and I forgot my password! No, it was not a vacation trip, darn it.

We will get to WDW this summer after all. Have to make a quick trip to FL for another reason, and decided to to do WDW time. Our dates are July 27-Aug. 3, anyone else there at that time? This was kind of instigated by the plotting of Alicia and Tori, so you might NOT want to be there! :rotfl:

Sandi, of course, prayers and PD for your daughter. I hope the cruise stuff worked to cheer her up.

Stacey, T&C looks beautiful from your porch! Glad it was a good trip for you guys in spite of the airline glitches.

Monica, sorry, have not stayed at those resorts. Pop is the only value we have tried.

Jim, are you sure that is Matt on the ground? Looks like one of those stuffed dummies to make you think there's been an accident. Poor horse looks a bit concerned.

Asking for prayers this afternoon for DD26, Kristen, as she's in surgery and then long recovery for her hysterectomy for cancer. It's really tough on her (and of course me,too).

 Here is hoping her guardian angel is looking over Kisten (and you of course)....

Sandi -- Belated but still sending pixie dust and prayers for her recovery. 26 is such a hard age for this to happen, not that there is a good age, of course.

I will be praying for good news on Weds, that they were able to remove all the offending Cancer cells....

Castaway Cay is such a perfect place for a little TLC...

Sorry I have been off-line for a while—first things first...

Virgil, finished playing with all the toys yet? You lost me at the Mac store…pirate:
Angie – a late “safe travels” and I am wishing you are enjoying WDW…..(I wanna go to!! Always!):mickeyjum

Stacey – time for a new toy for you – right? And are you coming or going right now…??? :drive:

To all Father’s Out there --- have you seen the Home Depot gift card commercial – cute……Sounds like we have a bunch of creative kids, Karen, a power point presentation for Father’s Day, way cool! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Here’s to Matt who has found the perfect summer job, heck, the perfect job!!!

Monica – think “Pool Bar”. :beach: And chiming in – Music is where we normally stay as Movies is often booked….:rockband:

Diana – a WDW visit – yipppeeee….:earboy2:

And my update for the weekend.
Friday night I worked on the trip report and importing the dive pictures….

Saturday it was time to tackle the jungle :butterfly and head to the pub for a relaxing envenign with friends. Jim, we now have Bonefish Grill, only there are no seats available for dinner.

Sunday we did chores, :laundy: ran errands and took Mother to dinner.
Somehow I am a wee bit sore today, I think the jungle won.

Glad to see you back. We missed you and are still looking forward to a trip report. But who am I talk. I have not done one yet for Montana. Been to busy getting ready for the next couple of trips.

At the Bonefish Grill I assumed you eat at the bar. Full menu at the bar.

That's Matt just showing he can sleep anywhere. That was after about 6 hours of hard riding with only an apple for lunch. The horse was happy because it did not have anyone on it's back and it was able to eat. More then Matt could say! :lmao:

We actually have not tried it yet, the 75 minute wait put us off, but now I know the secret.

See...once again.:disrocks:

Good NIght and Good Morning - unusual for me.

Well, I'm off......crossing the state in the next few days.

Everyone on vacation -- HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
