Hi all - just wanted to update everyone.... My mom died today during emergency surgery. (for the clinical minded - she developed a colonic perforation - and became septic. They finished the surgery and she bradyed down.) I made it to Weirton - and they let me into the OR to be with her.

I hate posting such news - but I wanted my friends to know.....

Spent over three hours at MVD today....Jordan got her driver's license. 100% on the road test. But she couldn't figure out why we wouldn't let her take the car to her boyfriend's house tonight. On the freeway, in the dark. Ain't no way! I tried to tell her that she still needs more time on the roads during the day, before she heads out at night....told her that it isn't safe to be out...all that "mom" stuff....told her she needs to work into that. Then I finally told her the truth.....Dad and I need time to work into it!!

So, just a warning if you're in the Phoenix area, she'll be driving my Equinox for now.....silver....Mickey Mouse antenna ball.....license plate "OHPLEEZ"....

No different girl. Fran's daughter uses the screen name "gym bug". Lisa's friend Ashleigh's last name is Gnat and she has gone by Bugs for most of her life. Bugs went with us on the short Christmas Cruise last year. She and Lisa are two of a kind.

Must be a "mom" thing, why I would have no problem with a teenager taking off alone to her boyfriend's house in a car at night on the freeway by herself, did I say alone.......Don't know what Mom's problem is eh?
