And Mary, I believe that Monica and John are not cruising on the Mexican Riviera, but meeting the group at DL. Which we might do as well. Laura and her family are booked on that cruise, though.

I have a subscription to Cruise Travel magazine, a new one arrived this week. Since I'm not going on a cruise anytime soon, I'm thinking I need to cancel it. Makes you want to cruise NOW!

Opps - got my blabbermouths mixed up. :lmao:

Irene, sounds like you need to go to the Irish fest in Chicago! Good excuse for a DIS meet and beer drinking. Glad to hear your Mom's procedure went well.

That won't work because Chicago doesn't put on a good festival at all. That's why we go up to Milwaukee every year!:cool1:

So, the bike - details please........

Trek 2100.

It's a middle of the road touring bike. I did 33 miles on Saturday at an avg of 18.5 MPH. Much faster than my other bike. It was fun.

Saddle felt good, body felt good. I'm ready to ride again.

Mike took KT to rehearsal tonight so I could stay home with Nick. Good thing two b/c now he's on the verge of vomitting and Mike would NOT have liked that.

Isn't that all in a days work for him? :confused3

Everybody was home tonight, including my parents. They arrived early to Florida and came over. What a great night for Sharon and Lisa to be home! We all got to share the joy. :lmao:

Morning All.......

All I want is a different solar orbit so it can be daylight when I wake up and daylight when I come home......

That's all.....

Not much to ask for.

Great bike Jim, makes me think about riding again....

As for the other topic...

Hope the kiddies are better soon.

Good Morning Everyone!

A blissful calm just descended on the house. John, the kids, and his parents just left for San Antonio until Friday. I don't get too much of a reprieve, I fly out tomorrow to join them. Home Friday, dump clothes in the washing machine, repack the suitcases and then it's off cruising!!! :cool1:

Went to the Livestock show on Sunday and then the rodeo last night.

Get well everyone!!!!

Chicago may not have a good Irish fest - but, Oakbrook (a western suburb) has a great Highland festival - if you need a men-in-kilts and bagpipe fix. My cousin, the bagpipe playing priest (yes, will occasionally serve both roles during mass) is extremely active in several pipe and drum units. He's an excellent piper and every few years will head to Scotland for competition.

Growing up in my family, you had to love the pipes. Picture family gatherings in mid Chicago winter, 1000 sq foot bungalow, 30+ people and the sound of the bagpipes. (Is there an ear-plugging smilie?)

Not sure I like this earlier time change idea...Thankfully, the kids have Spring Break, so hopefully, it'll be a bit lighter next week when Maggie leaves at 7:40 for school.

Can I use you as an excuse - But, Mary said we're going!!! :rotfl2: ( the dead cockroach ) Our plan is to head to DL and meet up post-cruise...

Sure why not! :lmao: Sorry about the mix-up. I'm sure you'll have a great time meeting up at Disneyland!

Monica, enjoy your one quiet day. Not much of a reprieve, but think of it as an Escaping Mom day!

(Fe)Ebay has informed me that I am losing my Powerseller status unless I get busy. I'm not selling enough lately and therefore not making them enough money. I have inventory, but so little time it seems. Off to work.

Then you could play WATER POLO! :lmao: :lmao:

Thanks for all the Pixie Dust. I really needed it. I am finally feeling better. However, I am so far behind at work, I will probably get sick trying to catch back up. :rotfl:

This weekend should be less stressful (no major travel plans), then it is back to south Florida for Lisa's State Meet (the beginning of the run!!)

I hope she does well. She has worked very hard this year.

I saw Fran and Dave (Teacher Mom from our May Cruise) at the meet. Their daughter Kelly was competing Level 7. They have a 4 day planned for this summer to celebrate their anniversary. They have an October Cruise planned, but will probably have to cancel. The kids Teachers are becoming less understanding each year about them missing a week of school.

Hi Sharon! Glad you're back up and around. I'm with Jim (for once we agree) you better not!!

I bit the bullet today and made an appointment with a hand specialist. Yes, the wrist is still hurting, more than it had been lately. My primary care and I both agreed that the general orthopedic surgeon wasn't offering me any more help. So, I see the specialist on Monday. At least I don't have to wait long to get in.

Good Morning All -

Sharon - glad to see the you are back and posting....No more getting sick.....(please). Glad you could catch up with Fran and Dave....Fran - are you still lurking out there....Stop by and say HI!

An early GOOD LUCK Lisa for her meet in S. Fla. Wish I could be there this time, but I am off to North Fla. that weekend....(bummer - work calls).

Stacey - sorry to hear about the hand, but a specialist may be able to assist so it will hear properly.

Hope all the kids are better and the strep throuts are a thing of the past, along with the other (ugh) symptoms.

Hi GaRRy - have you tried "water wings"?????? Don't work too hard now, ya'hear!

Diana - SELL SELL SELL SELL.......which is the opposite greeting I have for Monica REST REST REST REST........

And as for men in kilts:goodvibes

News on my front is good, Mother had her stitches out and was officially released...(well, at least for 3 months). All reports are excellant.

Moral motto of the day for sunworshippers on cruises at WDW and DL - cover up, stay out of the sun at mid-day, wear sun screen and go to the MD to have your skin checked early in life and often.....

OK - done now.
