Diana - hope that Alcia is feeling better.....being wrapped for rehearsals does not sound like fun......Now teaching scuba, that sound more like fun!

Taxi service seems like a passage for most parents I know...It is followed by the "wondering if the kid is ok driving" stage....

Take care and I hope you had a productive weekend for your E-Bay photos....

Going to Tampa for a gymnastics meet. After all it is competition season.

While they are at the gym I'm going to try out my new bike.

Matt is going to the State JROTC drill team competion. He did not go to a church function last night because he had to press his uniform. What did they do to my child? :scared1:

So, the bike - details please........

Meet update.....gymnastics is good for your health. Sharon made a remarkable recovery and even drove part way there. I know her recovery was speeded up by the thought of missing a meet.

The short of it.....Lisa's team brough home the first place team banner. This was the first time they had 3 people so they could qualify for the team awards. Lisa's team mate placed first over all, Lisa placed second over all. She won the bars. Placed well on everything else.

Coach was happy.

Sharon was happy.

That means I am happy. :lmao:

Good Morning All....

Congrats to Lisa - Lisa Team wins - Dissers are happy too!

Glad Sharon is feeling much better.....

Glad all are happy!:)

Hi guys, we are back in El Paso from our trip to Austin and the State Finals. We had a great trip, just exhausting driving back in late last night. Have been doing laundry and re-packing all morning trying to get ready to leave tomorrow morning for Florida.

Ashley had a great performance yesterday in the 200 breast. She took off 4 more seconds and made her first AAA time. She ended up 15th place. We are very proud of her. She has taken off 22 seconds in one year in that event and she took off 10 seconds on the 100 breast in the last year.

Well, gotta run so that we can finish up all of the things we need to do before tomorrow morning.

Sounds like Ashley had a super meet....Have a fun trip to WDW.....and relax....

Here is some :sunny: for you....

It was gorgeous in S. Fla. but not on the seas, no diving for us.

Instead, some much needed sleep, to catch up on those 3:00 and 5:00 alarm calls.

Completed some inside chores....checked on Mother, all is well.

Sunday we attended the local Irish Fest. Does not seem we had as much fun as Mark and Mary (a few months back - or was it years???).

We'll make up for the missing fun next weekend on St. Patty's Day.

DST - not my favourite, too dark in the am....

Good morning everyone!

Irene - we have a great time at Milwaukee's Irish Fest every year. It is 4 days (we usually go for 3 of them) of lots of great music with over 10 different stages of acts. Everything from Irish Rock to Harp music. They really put on a great festival.

Just had to share my blog entry for today ....as if we need another thing to deal with:

43 hours of rehearsal x 40 Wizard of Oz Munchkins = 1 case of strep throat.

Yes, it's true. Nick weathered 43 hours of rehearsal in the last week without incident. The Purell drill was completed each time he stepped into the car after rehearsal, but it wasn't enough. Today he woke up with classic strep symptoms: headache, bellyache, and sore throat. He was a titch warm too, but I didn't take his temperature. His throat was swabbed and the results came back--positive for strep. Rob, our friendly Wal*mart pharmacist, will be filling the Amoxicillin prescription shortly.

KT and Nick shared a water bottle yesterday. Her tech week begins tonight. Ack!

OH NO! I'll keep my fingers crossed that KT doesn't get it!

Glad to hear Sharon is up and around again thanks to gymnastics!

OM, hope the kids last the week. I was a little worried about the possible broken rib and three shows coming up, but now Alicia seems to be OK. That ace bandage must have been the miracle worker.

Sandi, so sorry to hear about your family health problems. Will add you to the PD list.

Irene, sounds like you need to go to the Irish fest in Chicago! Good excuse for a DIS meet and beer drinking. Glad to hear your Mom's procedure went well.

Is Pam at WDW yet?

Yup, Stacey, Virgil...
didn't want to put that in the blog (for fear of someone thinking it was bad medicine) but KT will be treated too. :)

Funny thing is, Mike swabbed Nick and said "If this is positive, we'll get Amoxil for KT."

Nick was APPALLED and said "WHY DOES SHE GET MEDICINE AND I DON'T???????"

And Mary, I believe that Monica and John are not cruising on the Mexican Riviera, but meeting the group at DL. Which we might do as well. Laura and her family are booked on that cruise, though.

I have a subscription to Cruise Travel magazine, a new one arrived this week. Since I'm not going on a cruise anytime soon, I'm thinking I need to cancel it. Makes you want to cruise NOW!

Not according to KT. She thinks we like Nick better. :sad2:

Off to Wal*mart to pick up TWO prescriptions of Amoxil. :)

That sounds exactly like it would be in our house. They each think we like the other one better. But then Megan will pipe in and say "You're both wrong. She likes ME best"! And I could see Jared or Jordan saying the same thing as Nick. Too funny.
I don't blame you at all for going ahead and getting KT the Amoxicillan. I'm kicking myself for NOT getting it for Jared after Jordan and I had both been sick. Maybe then he wouldn't have gotten that nasty staph infection!

Diana....I hope you guys DO come over when we're there! I haven't been ignoring you, by the way....been working on some projects here.

We may need to join you one year, our local festival left a lot to be desired this year.....

 so sorry:sick:

PD for sick kids....

and Garry too!!!!!!

My second UTOP in one day....where is that dancing bananananana when you need him????

I'm kicking myself now. There was a mix up at the pharmacy. They made me THREE bottles of Amoxil for EACH kid. They had the dose wrong on the sticker. I got home and Mike was like "holy cow, that's a ton of amoxil, what does the label say?" I read it and it was THREE times a day, but it should have only been TWO times a day.

So he called the pharmacist (it wasn't our regular guy) and the pharmacist said "bring two bottles back." Ok, so I do, thinking I'll get a refund (three bottles was $12...so I figured I'd get $4 back per bottle returned)

Turns out, 3 bottles is $12. Two bottles is $12. And they're going to throw out the extras. Had I known that, I'd have KEPT THEM....

cuz now I have a sore throat and a headache! And it would have been enough for me to dose myself for 10 days! (sigh)

Mike took KT to rehearsal tonight so I could stay home with Nick. Good thing two b/c now he's on the verge of vomitting and Mike would NOT have liked that.

Poor Nick! Hope he feels better soon. At least you get a break from driving tonight. :)
