Irene -- Sounds like thinks went well with you mom, I sure am glad. It is so hard when we as adults have to worry about our parents, so I am glad she is doing okay.

Jim -- hope Sharon is feeling better today. Give her our best.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes. We are ready to leave for airport, just waiting on one of Ashley's friends to get here. Her mom can't go, because her first grandchild is due any day.

Dale is excited about going on a college visit at UT. I have him booked pretty solid with different things on campus all day tomorrow.

Talk to ya'll later.

That is exciting stuff, Pam! You've got some great college choices there in texas, so jealous. Have a great WDW trip, too.

Sorry for the delay in providing an update on Sharon, but I thought she would have posted by now.

She is home. I picked her up this morning, in time for her to go to work. It is amazing what happens when you get the proper care. I'm sure that says millions about me!!

I drove her home from the hospital. She ate lunch and went to work. She is back to feeling fine.

I still have gym duty so I'm sitting here after another trip to the mother ship to get paint.

Actually I know Sharon decided to get better because she knows she would not be allowedto go to Lisa's meet unless she started going to work!!:lmao:

Welcome Home Sharon - glad you are feeling better and home. thanks for the update Jim.

Thanks for all the well wished for my Mother....whew...overslept this morning, wonder why? I did not need to get up at 5:00 am today.

So, what is everyone doing for the weekend?

:happytv: ? Movies???

:surfweb: the Dis???

:laundy: the dreaded housecleaning??? And chores????

:drinking1 - St. Patty's Day Festivals???

:fish: Good Luck Ashley

:simba: And Lisa.....

:tigger: And Dale at UT (that was Univers of Tigger was it not?)

Later :wave2:

So, what is everyone doing for the weekend?

 living at the Palace theater.

At least Nick will be living there....8:30a-12:30p AND 5p-9:30p-ish tonight.
Then noon-9:30p tomorrow.
Then noon-5p on Sunday.

I'm just the taxi service (and I'll watch 2 of the 5 shows)

Good morning everyone!

Glad to hear Sharon is home and feeling better!

Karen - sounds like a crazy busy weekend. Good luck to Nick on his shows!

Spring Break starts this weekend and it's a beautiful 75 degrees :

Today: Just finished working - cleaning like crazy - (very)post-show cast party from January's Arsenic & Old lace - we're watching the original version tonight- sequestering Mike as he's recovering.

Saturday :laundy: - shoving everything not cleaned up into closets and under the bed :thumbsup2 - the in-laws arrive.

Sunday: Wandering the Houston Livestock Show...

That was *&^*&^%!@(* ridiculous.

You know me, I'm not one to complain....but....Grrr.

I dropped Nick off today at 8:30 for his 10:30 performance. I asked the person (wrangler) who meets you at the car "we're picking up at 12:30, right?" Yes, 12:30.

So I head back to town around noon, get there at 12:31 where I'm greeted by a "wrangler" who tells me "the show is still going on, we got started right at 10:30 but it's not done yet. Last night at dress rehearsal we found the show was 3 HOURS long, so we should be done around 1:15, come back then."

GRRRRRRRR. Ok, so KT and I drive around town a bit to waste time. It's too much time to not do anything, but not enough to actually stop and DO something.

We get back at 1:10 and we're told "they should be done at 1:30, and then they have to pose for cast pictures and get out of their costumes. They should be done by 1:45."

Ok, ya know what, why not tell me at 8:30 this morning that the show is a minimum of three hours long and that there are cast pictures afterwards????? I could have stayed at HOME until 1:15! Plus, I probably would have gone into town to pick him up, but would have dressed for the performance tonight and we would have hung around town. This way I had to schlep all the way home so we could be home just under 2 hours. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

THAT was poor planning. :(

I need a nap.

Sharon, glad you're feeling better....but maybe a day at home would have been good??

Vicki....found a picture of you.... Hope you're handling it okay!

GOOD LUCK NICK! Break a leg....only not like Vicki.

GOOD LUCK ASHLEY!!!

Enjoy, Dale! Pretty exciting!

I swear, that happened every time Megan had a show open. It IS so frustrating!
Sorry!! Here's something for you, too

Hi all! I've been so busy with work & home life that I haven't even been working.

Virgil, congrats on the job!

Good luck Ashley! Pam, enjoy your vacation once you're done.

Sharon, glad you're feeling better! Good luck to Lisa tomorrow!

Irene, glad your mom is ok.

Mark & Mary, great pictures. I've never been to Hawaii & not sure I ever will be.

Kiki, have fun in New Orleans.

Nick, break a leg. OHMinnie, hope you don't go crazy!

I saw that Disney had their shareholder meeting in New Orleans yesterday & announced a new animated princess film to be set in New Orleans... set to bere Sounds like Disney is also kicking in some big $ to help rebuild boys & girls clubs in the Gulf Coast region including one in Slidell. Not sure where that even is & I lived there.

I am officially insane! I have Ashley enrolled in 4 extra activities and Emily is enrolled in 3. I am running after work Tues.-Fri. and Sats. are filled with soccer games. I AM INSANE!

Hope everyone has a great weekend. It's getting warm here & we're enjoying the weather.
Ang

I think OM is about ready to thwack the director/stage manager/child wrangler/pick one/all of the above - for the miscommunication(s) over munchkin rehearsal times.

I love how Irene comes in, ready to help defend her DIS friends, without even knowing why!

Well, we have completed our first day at the State Swim Meet. Ashley had a good day. She swam the 100 breast this morning, where she was seeded 23rd. She swam great, took almost 2 seconds off her best time and ended up placing 13th overall. She also swam a time trial in the 50 breast and she took over a half second off and was able to pre-qualify in that event for the Summer Championships.

We are back tomorrow for her to swim the 200 breast and we will just have to see how that goes.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. The weather is great here in Austin and looking forward to have some sunny days in Florida next week.

I had my bad day yesterday. Picked Alicia up at school, and she told me she had been in pain most of the day, stabbing pains in her right side. This had been going on for a couple of weeks, but suddenly much worse. So I call information for our new health plan, find out that there is only one urgent care on our side of town. It's at our old health plan's facility. So off we go, wait three hours, finally get to see a doctor. Stabbing pains are not a worry, only continuous, deep pains. We got a wrap for her rib area, with the theory that she pulled a muscle in there somewhere, and on our way. At least she doesn't seem to be deathly ill with anything.

Tomorrow she has three rehearsals for three different shows in three different places. Taxi service is what I will be doing, Kevin is teaching scuba. Hope she makes it through all of them. I hope to take pictures on Sunday for Ebay, there is only one rehearsal to interfere. Maybe I need to go into the hospital for a while?

No, probably not worth it. Glad to hear Sharon is better.

So, what is everyone doing for the weekend?

Going to Tampa for a gymnastics meet. After all it is competition season.

While they are at the gym I'm going to try out my new bike.

Matt is going to the State JROTC drill team competion. He did not go to a church function last night because he had to press his uniform. What did they do to my child? :scared1:
