Just asked John about the possibility of Mexican Riviera - He said "Cool! :cool1: We've never been on that side before...IF we get the budget worked out..."

OM recently nixed my 18 months of PBJ plan- how about the Ramen noodle diet? :lmao:

Now, if it's Hawaii (Do they sail out of LA for Hawaii?? )- I don't think we're interested.

got latest lab results - some things are looking much better
T.Bili is down substancially from last month 3.3 from 4.8 -(best it's been in several years)

must have been cruising with friends!! just think how much better it would have been if we had all been on DCL.

Nice pictures, Virgil. I'm thinking your son's name is Jason. So who is Nick?

I don't know about Mexico, scuba is different there for sure. I know Kevin likes to dive off of Catalina, anyway. It costs about the same for us to fly to either coast, even though one is much closer.

Nick is Kristin's boyfriend.... He's also a Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering Senior at WVU.

Jason is the son - but he's in the Airforce in England...

Great pictures Virgil. So when are you going to give us your review and tell us what you liked and didn't like about NCL?

Hopefully in the next day or so - been so busy since I've been back...

We're "in" for a Mexican Riviera cruise as long as it's DCL!!! :thumbsup2

Just so much easier to do on a Mac.......

Use the slideshow button - it's pretty......

Yep!! Worked on my PC.

Virgil, were those taken with that same little Nikon you had on the the Double Scoop trip? Pretty good, especially in better lighting!! You even put it in a baggie and got wet!! Very Cool!!:thumbsup2

Virgil, what great pictures!! I love how some of the other cruise lines have the hot tub as part of their suites. A guy I work with went on NCL to Alaska and got upgraded to owner's suite. He couldn't say enough good things about the suite.

Looks like ya'll had a great time!!

Virgil bought the Pentax underwater camera like mine, only a step up. Mine's the W10 and I think his is the W20.

DOn't know about a Mexican Riviera cruise for us. Although we can drive to LA in a day, I am not sure I want to do DCL on a Mexican Riviera cruise. Both of our other cruises were Western Itineraries and I really want to do an Easten or Southern Carib. cruise.

I think that they may alternate 3/4 and 7 nighters on the Wonder if they do move the Magic back to California. I can't see them not doing a 7 nighter out of PC for 2 summers in a row. Of course I could be wrong.

I ended up liking the Mexican Riviera ports more than I thought I would. We grabbed a taxi in Mazatlan, and toured around, it was interesting. In Puerto Vallarta we took a sailboat out and snorkeled and also in Cabo. The scenery was prettier than I thought it would be.
I love the idea of not flying far....and just being on Disney.
The one thing I would do differently, is to add a park visit to the trip.
The only thing other than the port terminal not being "Disney", was the people on the west coast cruise seemed different somehow. I can't quite put my finger on it, but they were just different. Much more casual, for one thing....not many dressed up for formal or pirate nights. And possibly more rude.
But I still would definitely do it.

I went to Mazatlan with a friend almost 20 years ago. It was the summer before I married Charley and my girlfriend and I went. I have never been so sick in my life and it took over 3 months to get completely over it. Good thing was that it was impossible for me to gain weight before our wedding and actually had to have my dress taken in to fit (hahaha). I know it sounds weird, but it just wouldn't feel like Disney not getting to go to CC.

I would really like to try a Voyager or Freedom Class ship on RCCL.

Yesterday was another example of why no one can do it like Disney. The Disney Half Marathon was a blast, even worth leaving the house at 2 am (thank goodness we did).

They ran a great event with lots of characters, fireworks, bands, and people along the route. All the Christmas decorations were up so running down main street with all the people cheering was almost enough to make me forget I was sweating and panting.

Matt worked at one of the water stops. It was the first time I ever got my Gatorade and a kiss.

Matt is going to run the half with me next year. I am going to do the Goofy. We will stay on property which is the only way Sharon will get up to see me run. Hopefully I can find a hotel room that will allow her and Lisa to wave from their bed as I run pass! :lmao:

On the way home from WDW we got behind a Bud beer truck. It just seemed to be leading us home.

Guess who would be driving a beer truck right to their front door? Any guess Kiki?

The faces are hidden to protect the innocent. :cool2:

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Jim - Congrats on the run. Isn't the Goofy when you run the 1/2 the first day and the full the 2nd day?
