Don't know why you are fussing about cleaning.

Wasn't it you posted that posted something like "You can come to see me anytime, but if you want to see the house.....set an appointment".
:thumbsup2

Happy Thursday!

One more day of work and then I'm done for the year. :) Missed you Karen and I know what you mean about having to clean. We aren't having any company but the house does need a good cleaning. With the next 4 days off that is one of my goals. That and starting the SSMC06 Circle Journal.

Loved this one!!!!! So true! I could have said the same about the Jags/Patriots game that we went to on Christmas Eve in the steady drizzle!!!!

Last year, we were in MK on a parade taping day... having heard the horror stories before, we avoided Main Street like the plague, and practically had the rest of the park to ourselves- no lines, no waiting.

I hadn't seen the parade on TV in a few years... This year, as I sat and watched the parade from the comfort of my living room (Elizabeth's friend was in the HS Musical segment, front and center... so I was obligated to watch while Ray slaved in the kitchen), I was thankful for the 'end result' as opposed to sitting on that curb for 5 hours!!!!!

Kids can be so exasperating!!!! My mom opened the proverbial can of worms last night trying to get the kids to write their 3 thank you notes to relatives. he stomped off mad because we're horrible parents who require thank-you notes - when he gives birthday gifts at friends' parties - he doesn't receive a note in return - so why should he have to write them??? Can't argue with the (non) requirements of his friends' parents. Anyway, John diffused the situation - I usually don't show him the cousins' thank you notes when they arrive (1st one yesterday) but, you better believe I will be showing him the notes from now on.

Fast forward to last night - on my pillow was surprise thank you notes from the kids. Mike's said:

"Thanks for everything you have given me, including the iPod. I don't mean this year, I mean every year. The thing I thank you for the most is that you're my parents..."

oh boy - major mom tears and that'll be a keeper in the memory box!!!

Ahhh, Monica. That's one of those moments we mom's cherish forever. :cloud9: (makes the whole "parenting" thing worthwhile! ;) )

Monica, that was very sweet of him! Isn't it nice when they stop and think? Cherish it, doesn't happen often.

OM, I think we are slugging too. I'm feeling better, but Ebay had a listing sale yesterday so I worked. Alicia is perfectly happy, in fact prefers, to hang around all day in her pajamas. After sleeping all morning, that is. I've actually been nagging her to call up some friends and go DO something!

Kiki, those kids from the FL school did a good job with the HS Musical choreography! I did notice the girls just behind the stars, and was impressed with the flyers. Was that a high school squad?

The 'real' cheerleaders (who were doing all the flying) were casted by Disney...

The kids in the front (with the stars) were kids from the two high schools in our town... (it said they were all from one, but when HS Musical was such a 'big deal' that they let kids from both schools audition.) Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the play when they performed... it was sold out by the time I realized that we should have bought tickets in advance...

I certainly had never heard of a high school drama presentation being sold out before!!!!!!! (No offense to the kids, but its definitely a rarity!!!)

Elizabeth bought the soundtrack with her Christmas money... if I never hear it again... its still too soon...

Hi folks - spent the entire day at work arranging, storing and revising the file system.....oh well, once every 10 years.....

GaRRY - Howdy - thanks for checking in.....give everyone a New Year Hug from me! Stace - that means you too....

Mary.....you and me both...The general house cleaning for Christmas never happened...wonder if I can wait until "spring cleaning season"? I will adopt Karen's motto....."make an appointment."

Jim - how did the holiday party go.....fun, fun, fun???

OMKaren - too weird, I wonder if I should bid on the bags? Or is this what they give me when I draf out my recycling????

Monica - aaaaawhhhhhh! How sweet.......insert I-pod of "memories".

Kikikaren, I missed the parade. I saw the advert, I said, I want to see it and set up a tape, but did I? Nooooooo.....oh, well, next year perhaps.

Diana - glad you are feeling better...perhaps a little bit of the bubbly to celebrate the New Year will help.

Off to read the latest Mouse Matters and then over to a friends house for Christmas cheer.

Later all.....(insert waving smilie whenever I can find him again.)

Here is one, I liked the other better.....

what happens when I do....:wave1: or "waving:

(I zerox copied it... ;) )

THANKS, guys!!! :)
It's ok that you zeroxed it, Mark. Mary always does such a great job with the Birthday and Congratulations smilies that I usually copy hers too. :)

(I try to edit a bit so it LOOKS like I didn't copy!)

Slightly Belated Happy Birthday, Karen! :cake:

And seeing as the Xeroxing precedent has been established... I'll do the same!!!!!

Hope it was a happy one!!!! Isn't this the last one before they start to hurt???

Happy Friday!

Got to sleep in late today which is a nice feeling for a change. Looking forward to these 4 days off with no major plans.

Have a great day everyone!

Nope. This one was just the first of many "39's." :)

Didn't help that two days ago KT was looking at my head and said "what's that?" YANK!!! :scared: Yes...big 'ol grey hair. :scared1:
