My bet is what's been posted on the main cruise forum - they're waiting for Disneyland to open to make the announcement there.

Mark, I like your thinking better than what I just read on another thread. Webmaster Regina posted:

"We've been told that the announcement has been pushed back until tomorrow and will take place at DCL's Celebration office. We don't know the time of this event.

They're also saying that booking may not start on the 31st."

Waiting here, too. We're booked for June, need to move that one!

OM, that was an amazing video. Didn't think that first truck was ever going to stop. Good day to stay home, couldn't believe the people were standing in the street though.

Thanks Sharon.

Congrats to Lisa! Sounds like she did an awesome job. Any meets in the ATL area this year? The girls would get a huge kick out of going to a live meet.

Ang

Unfortunately not. The other out of state meets are Charleston, SC , Frisco, TX & Tupelo, MS. Maybe next year.

WOW - Way to Go Lisa.....Sounds like a good meet for her first time....And please give Ashley our congrats as well....Thanks for the update...

Is the Lakeland meet regional as well, or statewide?

It is actually Region 8 (8 Southeast States) vs Regions 5 (8 Mid-Western States). It is another Meet where girls from both Regions are "checking" out the competition from outside their own Region to see who they might be competing against at Nationals this year.

Yeah, and then you hear someone say "I have three kids in the car, can someone help me get them out?" I was thinking "wouldn't they be SAFER in the car?" I could just imagine getting them out and then a car coming and running them over. :scared1:

Our side of Houston escaped the ice - it's still hovering just above freezing with rain - my parents are quite amused by all the hype and hysteria over the last few days..."Storm Watch 2007" - "Arctic Blast...etc etc..." But, they agree - ice is no laughing matter...Don't know who is more disappointed the kids or the teachers that their district didn't cancel.

I've been watching the TX weather closely, as 9 of our guys from work are on the company's annual duck hunting trip in Aransas Pass... (with 9 more heading in for next week's hunt.... gotta remember, I work with a bunch of rednecks)... spoke to my boss yesterday who was freezing his butt off there... bunch of Florida boys who aren't used to the cold!!! Any excuse to wear more camo...

Yea... that's my idea of fun (NOT)... wading in waist-deep water and mud in 36 degree drizzle, shooting at birds that don't even taste that great once their cooked... I just stay here and hold down the fort while their gone... and send text messages like... "Its 82 here... whats the temp there"? Mean, I know. (Though its only in the 60's today...)

Well, another day of waiting for the big announcement. How fun.

Monica, glad you guys are okay. I thought about you when they showed Houston on our news last night. And I was remembering how glad I was that we had such a beautiful day there when during our flight back from NOLA.
I guess I didn't even think that Houston could get any bad weather.

Jay called a few minutes ago with some bad news. Asking for prayers for a family that we've known here forever. Their son (Megan's age...25) has been a bit of a problem to them his whole life. Just always found trouble no matter where he was. They tried everything for him. They're a loving, church-going family.....the mom taught school at my kids' grade school.
Anyway, two days ago, the young man killed himself. His funeral is Saturday.
Prayers for the family to get through this awful time.

Ugh. Permanent solution to a temporary problem. :( How horrible for the family.

Thank you.

It's been a tough week all the way around. A young guy Jordan's age committed suicide last weekend.....and no one really knows why. By all accounts, he seemed happy.:confused3 :sad2:

The first boy, from Jordan's high school, opened the door for me to have a talk with the kids. About how much more of their life they have beyond school, etc. But who knows if they listen?:sad2:

Stacey - my prayers and thoughts go out to those families. Why do kids think that the problems that they have at that age are so earth shattering? I guess I can remember at that age. What a shame. Those poor parents. The "what if's" for the rest of their lives. I will keep them all in my prayers.

Hey GaRRy - do you need any gear other than tanks and weights?????

inquiring minds...

or dive boats.....

wanna know...
