We are open to consideration - cost is an issue - I waitlisted the med until I saw the price.....west Coast not as much of a concern, would jump at a 7 day on the Wonder first I think....A 10 day with the Christmas ports for the Wonder in May/June would be good...not when they did it during hurricane season,

The Panama crossing is sooo tempting - would have to look at costs...as I do not like the closed in cabins.

Can't use DVC points that far out????

Oh well, Hedgie says she will go with her Aunty Stacey....

or we wait and take changes with last minute Fla. rates.....really good for a 7 day in Feb. right now....

I have a feeling that there are only two reasons why Jay hasn't objected ( and was actually almost sort of excited) to a June of '08 cruise.....one is because it was with "the group" (or my posse, as it calls it) and two....because it's Disney.
I wouldn't object to trying RCCL or Princess. We still have the "elite" staus with Princess....free laundry and dry cleaning. Think they'd be suspicious if I sent everyone's laundry in to be done???

Wow, so much info in my 1 and 1/2 day absence. RCCL is a definite possibility for us. I actually have been interested in them for some time and would like to try it with others, so the kids would have buddies already. RCCL's dates are still not out for June 2008

I sent my request in for Eastern Carrib in June 08.1

I really doubt we would do a cruise out of LA. Mainly it is because of the ports, not because it is LA.

We still do not know when school is going to be out and I have Ashley graduating from Middle School and Dale graduating from High School.

I truly think that the Wonder will do something special in the carribbean, but I may be wrong. Anyone interested in doing a 4 day Bahammas on the Wonder?? That is also an option for us, because then we can spend a few days at WDW using DVC points.

KT is pulling strongly to cruise with Ashley again (Pam's Ashley) so those two factors will probably weigh our decision a bit. While we'd like a complete repeat of the manifest from May '06, I really don't think that's possible, unfortunately.

Princess doesn't have their bookings open for June of 2008 yet....but it looks like they do the same itinerary as DCL....St Thomas and St Martin and then their private island, Princess Cays....which is really, really nice, by the way.

RCCL doesn't look like they have anything much for the Caribbean in June.

That's come up before, but there were lots of ppl who nixed the idea. One of the reasons was because of the repeated menus between the cruises. Another was the cruddy ports other than CC (especially for our diving people, I remember them saying they wouldn't like diving Bahamas only)

And, the cost was more for a 4/3 than for a 7.

How would we EVER get done everything we need to get done in just 4 days? Card games and left-right-center and photos and exchanges and clubs and meets and and and. Shoot, we didn't have time enough in SEVEN days to pack it all in....remember, that's why we needed a DO-OVER!!!

I haven't spoken to Jim, but I think that maybe where we are at as well. I would love to cruise with this group again, but the West Coast is just not appealing to us. Jim reminded me I didn't even get off in Coz last trip. Fran (teacher mom) told me about the West Coast trip they did with DCL and she said although they enjoyed it, it was cold. They went in July, so I would think that would be the warmest month. I HATE cold. I am hoping the Wonder Cruises to the Eastern or best of all a 10 or 11 day trip, but I think I am only wishful thinking.

It seems like no one has their 08 itineraries out yet... which is late... I wish they'd all hurry up so my family could figure out what we're doing for my parents and then go from there...

Well, now, you're onto something there. I'm not a big beach fan...don't like hot sun all day, don't like sand, can't stand salt water....

just a fast note

DW went to work today had chills doc checked her and started fluids and test checked a few hours later 102 temp, never got it down so shes there for at least the night.
