Same with us, Ohminnie. We had a couple of things we were looking at doing, one being Turks and Caicos, and/or a Southern Caribbean cruise on another line. Those two will go out the window for the DCL cruise.
So I'm glad they'll make the announcement before I have to put any more money down on anything else.

We were talking more last night about one of the canal crossings.....Jay said we could do one, if the dates work out okay. I'm shocked. Who is this man???

Last year, for the Med cruises, they called the people who had faxed requests before the announcement date....and well before the booking date.
I wonder if they'll do that this time?

Which we would love to go on, but haven't won the lottery either. Summer '08 could be rough too, since we are thinking of moving that summer. But we have to try to cruise!

Okay guys and gals! Just to review....if they do start calling this weekend, or the first of the week, for the '08 cruises....

What date are we looking at? The first week in June?? What day does it specifically need to be after? In other words, what is the last day of school for the ones who are still in school in June?

Scuba family...are you thinking you'll go to LA, or pass?
Tinks? Pam? Monica? Maria? Ohiomice? Virgil?

I don't want to book something and be all alone!

Yes, I sent a fax in. I'm just hoping that I told them "Any special cruise for the first week of June" along with "preferably Eastern". But I don't remember. I'm wondering if I specified "Eastern" if they'll still call??

And yes, DSL is really fast, with a new computer that isn't loaded down with a boy's games.......which is what happened here. Gave Jared my old computer, took all his junk off mine, and I'm back to being speedy again!

It was 14 days... I would love to do it - but if they do the same schedule as previously - it will interfere with Lauren's school.....

We would love to do this as well, but I think it will be approximately the same kind of dates as 2005 - May 20 or so out and Aug 20 or so back to Florida. My kids are in school both ways. I guess it is just not meant to be.

Our kids are not done until Friday June 6, 2008. However, in talking with Jim this morning, I don't think we will be going to the West Coast. I made reservations on our Christmas Cruise planning to move them to 2008, but we were hoping for an Eastern or Southern Carribean with the group. Unless the Wonder does something special (other than 3 / 4 days), we will probably just cancel our reservation. THIS IS SO SAD!!!

Ohiomice aren't that interested in west coast Mexico. Hawaii we'd rather GO there than cruise there (gives us extra time to tour) ALASKA would very very much interest us. Canal crossing would be interesting, but probably cost prohibitive.

I really really wanna cruise with Mark and Mary so that my son can see his adoptive family. And KT is pulling strongly to cruise with Ashley again (Pam's Ashley) so those two factors will probably weigh our decision a bit. While we'd like a complete repeat of the manifest from May '06, I really don't think that's possible, unfortunately.

Looking back at my copy of my faxed request, I requested an Eastern cruise in early June of 2008. I also don't know if that means they won't call if there are special cruises. Course, I also specified "Disney Magic" so if it's the Wonder, will they ignore my whole request? Hmmmmm

We definitely wouldn't do West Coast either... and I'm still trying to get a comittment out of my siblings as to whether or not we're taking my parents on a 50th anniversary cruise to Bermuda in June of '08. Those dates & rates haven't been released yet either (well... they might have... I haven't checked in a few weeks...)

I know I can't swing 2 cruises in one month... who am I kidding... couldn't swing 2 in one YEAR even though I tried real hard to convince SOMEONE.

Anyone who wants to join a NY-Bermuda cruise in June of '08??? (Oh how I wish DCL went to Bermuda!!!!) (Oh Maria......)

Truthfully, I'm really not sure what we'll do - the heart (a do-over with y'all) and the head (checkbook) are at war...guess John and I need to decide soon.

Kids are out June 5 - soonest cruise date would be June 7...

If a cruise is a go for us in 2008 - would we choose to do West Coast Disney if we were the only ones going - probably not...

Tossing something out to think about...In the beginning, we were all fired up about an Eastern (or a Southern special) and didn't even consider the possibility that Disney would return to Mexico after the Med- would anyone who said "no" to Mexico say "yes" to an attractive itinerary on another line say RCCL or Princess?

It would be more enticing for my kids to broaden their cruising horizons if they knew friends would be along - I would be more comfortable with friends keeping an eye on my kids on another line as well as knowing the kids could roam in groups...
