Ok, as much as I hate the thought of it, I must run to the store for milk. Yuck. It's cold and windy here and I want to stay home in my chilly-electric-heat house. :lmao:

Almost, OM!

Virgil needs to visit the "I Can Book A Princess Mini-Suite" thread, and give them his take on NCL.....:stir: :stir:
We were in a mini-suite on Princess with the Mirage group and it was about the size of a Cat 5 on DCL.

I'm outta here, too. Jordan is performing at half time at the high school's basketball game. rah rah sis boom bah!

That is interesting. The part I'm still real skeptical about is this Apple TV. The internet is still not such a robust thing as to be able to do live unbuffered streams equal in quality to cable/sat/broadcast.

Still sounds like the macs are being shuffled to the back burner some though. I really do forsee a day in the near future where they'll get out of the computer hardware end entirely. They're almost there now, it is basically a pc in a mac designed box.

I listened to some of the talking heads from the Mac show on Bloomberg. They are saying that Mac is moving more to the home user. Also that the Iphone will revolutionize the cell phone market. They are talking it up pretty big.

Also, the Microsoft is so focused on Vista that "they are like a deer in head lights".

OK - I have a question. If the Magic is going to the West Coast for the summer of '08, does that mean a re-positioning cruise through the Panama Canal again? How long was that last year? Is anyone interested in that?

I just booked rooms at the Contempary for 2008, Marathon weekend.

Maybe I need to visit the community boards more often, but I was a little taken back by their new concellation/change policy.

$50 for a change 45 days out, $200 cancellation fee is 5 days out.

Wow....I guess the days of booking a room and just cancelling 5 days out are all gone. That is to bad for us locals. We will miss the old flexibilty and may have to start booking off property because our schedules change. I guess I can understand because they are a "resort" destination, but for us they are just another hotel.

To bad. That is my vent for the day.

FYI - I did go ahead a book it and wrote on the caledar 45 days out.

It was 14 days... I would love to do it - but if they do the same schedule as previously - it will interfere with Lauren's school.....

Found out the same thing with Disneyland this week. Am holding two rooms, one with Disney Travel and one with AAA. Long story. Anyway, I called to cancel the Disney Travel one, and was told there'd be a charge. Less than 24 hrs after booking! But....I can transfer that res to someone else for no charge. Am hoping my friend Sharon will be able to go with us. You're right, I should look at the other boards once in a while. :sad2:

I'd love to do that too, but can't if it's during school....and I don't think we can be away from work for that long. At least, JAY can't be away that long......OH MOMS!!!!

That would be fun! May is usually an insane month - I could easily picture myself asleep in the rainforest while John handles the kids' recitals, sports, and end of school activities...:cool1:

I hadn't heard about the new cancellation policies either. I need to check and see what they did when I cancelled AKL last month. Makes DVC even better!

I'm sure our legal eagle that likes to just pop up to WDW for a quick weekend will have some insight for me.

Happy Wednesday!

Did you all see the announcement on the main board? 2008 dates will be announced 1/17 with booking to start 1/31. Guess we'll soon know where DCL is going and if we'll all be cruising together.
