The kids are off the entire week - they get the joy and privilege of tagging along with me from gym to gym. The kids do have a birthday party at the Rainforest Cafe tomorrow - but, after that, their friends will have all deserted them for the week.

Stacey, I would be more than happy to ship you my two kids while yours are in school. :teeth:

Matt and Lisa have the whole week off too.

Matt gets to take Sharon's car in for service on Monday. My car goes in on Tuesday. He gets to hook up the new printer.

Lisa goes to work with Sharon on Monday and Tuesday. With me on Wednesday.

They will be looking forward to going back to school. :rotfl:

Better not...Jay might try to feed them cranberry sauce..yuck. Too bitter for me.

And yes, Kevin...that's what I was talking about. Jay likes the "jellied" cranberry. My Mom and Dad like the relish type better.
:crazy2:

Geeze...poor Lisa! Some vacation. Send her up here...she can clean and help cook. Does she eat cranberry sauce? :teeth:

Stacey, I hope Ruthie is coping OK. I'm sure it will be a comfort to her to have friends like you around.

Good luck with the doctor appt tomorrow -- let us know all about it. :sunny:

She was having a tough time today when we talked. She's always been a tomboy, and doesn't cry very often....but today was bad.:guilty: I did make her laugh though, when I reminded her of the Thanksgiving that I (accidentally) spit sweet potatoes on her dad. He never sat across from me at a meal after that. :confused3

I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow as soon as I get home.

What did you end up getting?

We ended up with the Canon Pixma MP800. Our older printer is starting to act up so I decided might as well get a printer that will do photos as well as everything else....just in case the other one dies.

I love it's photo printing. To me it looks just as good as we get from the photo store, but then I'm not fussy.

It is pretty cool how I can put a memory stick in it, have it print an index page of all the pictures on the stick, mark the pictures that I want, and then scan the sheet. It will then print only the pictures I marked. That is pretty cool.

It's having a hard time talking to the computer so Matt will deal with it.

I think we have a misunderstanding here.

Matt and Lisa are not on vacation!

They just don't have school for the next couple of days. :rotfl:

Good Morning All - How has everyone been this past week? All OK? Everybody excited about Thanksgiving? Are there pages for me to catch up on?

We had a wonderful vacation in St. Thomas, sadly no visits from the Magic this week.

I'll post a trip report and dive diary after I see what you have been up to.

Nick made it. KT did not. She's going to be very sick of her brother snagging all of the roles! Ya know, if my schedule is going to become VERY complicated, it'd be nice if it was for the benefit of BOTH kids.

Well, at least the Buckeyes won. There is some good in KT's life tonight. :)

9:30am - Maggie's team played in their final game - they lost 2-0 but, the girls played beautifully, and really dominated possession for most of the game - and that was with no extra players to sub and the other team had 3. They just couldn't get their shots in the goal...

Maggie quick changed her clothes and then we were off for a 2:00 kick off for Rice University (John's MBA ) homecoming. They pulled the game out in the final 7 seconds with a field goal against Eastern Carolina - very exciting.

Made a pilgrimage to one of our favorite restaurants near Rice and then was glutton for punishment and took the kids back for the men's basketball game - $5 basketball tickets with football tickets stubs...not a bad deal, we were given the football tickets which made the deal even sweeter. Not exactly a basketball powerhouse - our "nosebleed" seats were still 20 rows from the court.

Congrats on your team - love the new flag siggies....Maggie had a good game, sorry about the lose.

Good news for Nick - sorry about KT.

You did have a sports weekend.....!!!!!

We had a busy day yesterday. Ashley had to be at all-region practice at 9. Dale had to be at school for band practice at 10. Then there was the football playoff game at 12, and Ashley finished her practice at 3:30. Came home and got ready for the concert last night. Had to be back at 6:00.

Ashley's concert was awesome. The clarinet section had several solo parts and they did an incredible job on the music from Chronicles of Narnia. She was kinda sad when it was over.

Football team didn't do well and lost. Good thing is we won't have another play0ff game next weekend. Now, the last thing of the marching season is marching in the Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday. Wheh, glad when it is over.

And you all had a very busy weekend as well. Congrats to Ashley on her sucessful concert!!!!

And the Morning TOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just been doing some little things around here today...as much or little as I possibly can.

I remembered the other day that I hadn't bought my Christmas stamps yet, and by now, I'm sure our small post office is sold out. Then I remembered that our business has an account with Stamps.com so I thought I'd check and see how much credit I have. Tons! Will be printing my own Christmas stamps. Cool. And will most likely have enough credit left over to print labels for our packages ...Christmas gifts. If I ever get them wrapped and boxed. Stupid hand. :(

Hi Stacey - sorry the hand is still hurting...

I'm am brain dead, overloaded and exhausted after studying and cramming the last two weeks. I am one step closer to testing for this first phase of my pilates certification. After a year and a half it's been a long long process, mentally and physically.

I'm up and out of here early tomorrow morning for the 4 hr drive to Dallas for a practice test. It's about a 2 hr mock exam - so I'll be back on the road tomorrow night. I couldn't get a cheap flight.

If y'all could spare some prayers and pixie dust 11:30-2:00 central time - I'd really appreciate it! If I nail this - I get the o.k. to schedule my final exam!

Checking posts backwards this am...............you sure worked hard....

This is going to be my only personal comment on postcounts. I don't care about them. I learned that thru a very nasty person who thinks the post count is be all and end all of their message board existance. 1 post or 1 million, means all the same to me, the people making a post and the substance of the posts is all that matters to me. Kind of why I don't post very often, I don't usually post unless I really have something to say.

(sticks moddie hat on)
If having the most posts is what makes someone happy, let's just let them have their fun, and drop the subject right here. Thanks.

But your trip reports are the best!!!!!

Good Morning Mark.....
