Thank you!!!!

Good game. I was on the edge of my seat for parts. What was with our center flubbing his snaps?

But we pulled it off!!! The better team won. And now there's a chance we'll do it all again in the Fiesta Bowl! :)

Dang it. KT and Nick auditioned for munchkin roles in the Wizard of Oz.

Nick made it. KT did not. She's going to be very sick of her brother snagging all of the roles! Ya know, if my schedule is going to become VERY complicated, it'd be nice if it was for the benefit of BOTH kids.

Well, at least the Buckeyes won. There is some good in KT's life tonight. :)

Whew! We're all sport fanned out...

9:30am - Maggie's team played in their final game - they lost 2-0 but, the girls played beautifully, and really dominated possession for most of the game - and that was with no extra players to sub and the other team had 3. They just couldn't get their shots in the goal...

Maggie quick changed her clothes and then we were off for a 2:00 kick off for Rice University (John's MBA ) homecoming. They pulled the game out in the final 7 seconds with a field goal against Eastern Carolina :confused3 - very exciting. :cheer2:

Made a pilgrimage to one of our favorite restaurants near Rice and then was glutton for punishment and took the kids back for the men's basketball game - $5 basketball tickets with football tickets stubs...not a bad deal, we were given the football tickets which made the deal even sweeter. Not exactly a basketball powerhouse - our "nosebleed" seats were still 20 rows from the court. :rotfl:

:grouphug: Big hug to KT and congrats to Nick! If they'd cast Dorothy at the age she really should be, KT could have auditioned for that part!

WAY TO GO BUCKEYES!

Congrats to Nick on the new part and hugs to KT for not getting a part as well.

When does this play start? After you get back from Florida?

Here's for a happy balance in life and in your household. I know KT must be very proud of her brother but at the same time sad that she isn't getting to take part.

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Sunday!

Stacey - I agree with Monica. You always come up with the best smilies for any occassion. Love them!

Rehearsals don't start until January 4th!!! YIPPIE!!!

Congratulations Karen on OSU's big win. Good game.

Congrats to Nick as well. I feel for KT. No fun when your brother gets all the roles.

We had a busy day yesterday. Ashley had to be at all-region practice at 9. Dale had to be at school for band practice at 10. Then there was the football playoff game at 12, and Ashley finished her practice at 3:30. Came home and got ready for the concert last night. Had to be back at 6:00.

Ashley's concert was awesome. The clarinet section had several solo parts and they did an incredible job on the music from Chronicles of Narnia. She was kinda sad when it was over.

Football team didn't do well and lost. Good thing is we won't have another play0ff game next weekend. Now, the last thing of the marching season is marching in the Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday. Wheh, glad when it is over.

We are emerging from our 24 hour self imposed lock down. No phone calls, internet, emails, newspaper, or DIS for the last 24 hours so we would not hear about THE game.

Yesterday we were busy all day. I ran 10 miles in the morning. As soon as I finished Matt, Sharon, and I left for the Citrus Bowl. We work the concession stand for a football game. We left at 10:00 am and got home at 10:00 pm.

This morning we had a great time, breakfast, drinks, and 2 hours of the football game preshow and then we enjoyed the game.

What a great game!!! I'm glad it was a close game. It was a fun game to watch.

ah, not fair! I feel bad for KT. Boys always have an easier time getting roles since there usually aren't as many of them around.

Kevin is earning his keep as a photographer these days. He's taking pictures of my Ebay stuff so I can get better bids. So far, it seems to be working!

After our internet was down this last time, my e-mail quit working. Kevin downloaded Thunderbird for me. Now I can receive e-mail, but not send it. So I'm still on the Scuba exile I guess.

Hi Diana! I've missed you.....

I had Jordan take me to Target today. At the very least, it took my mind off my sore hand. She drives okay...it's just much slower than I'm used to. Same with having her push the shopping cart. I'll be glad to get the doctor's appt over with tomorrow.

Jay & Jared & I did our Thanksgiving shopping last night. Again, it went much slower than when I can just bop through the store by myself. But neither had ever shared the "joy" of buying all that stuff before....and it was great for me, to have them to carry it all in and put it all away!

My plan was to have the kids clean the house on Wednesday (no school), but I talked to my friend Ruthie today, and her Dad's services are on Wednesday. For the first time ever, I think I'd rather be cleaning.:sad1:

Here's a cute one I found:

Wave goodbye, bird!

And this one:

Maybe not a total "U"-T.O.P. !

Only bought one can of this, because I think Jay's the only one who eats it........

Stacey, I hope Ruthie is coping OK. I'm sure it will be a comfort to her to have friends like you around.

Good luck with the doctor appt tomorrow -- let us know all about it. :sunny:

I like cranberry relish too (at least I think that is what you're talking about) but a little goes a long way. We typically don't even finish the can, even with the whole family.....
