I think I'm just brainstorming at this point and we've joked about doing back to backs - I can't afford a European itinerary on Disney prices, and cruising Hawaii on any cruise line doesn't appeal to me. Alaska, I'd prefer a small ship or a land based vacation.

If those were the options on the Magic - as much as we enjoyed cruising with ths group and continuing to chat - we'd probably opt out - or jump ship if we really felt we had to choose a cruise as a family vacation in 2008. The kids are old enough that while they love the Magic - they would probably also enjoy another cruise line too...

I've read a bit of the main board discussion on back -to-backs - but, nothing lately to seriously weigh the pros and cons...(Other than claiming Stacey's room if she gets escorted off for making fun of the disembarking passengers ;) ) Maybe the head honchos will listen and alternate 3,4, and 7 day itineraries on the Wonder for 2008.

No motorcycle helmet laws here - and year round riding weather - makes for a big donor pool :thumbsup2

The thought of not ever cruising on DCL again is pretty sobering. I do love it. But....I'm with Monica and Kevin. I'm not sure I could talk anyone in my family into doing a back to back Wonder. I really hope DCL comes up with something decent.

We're all looking forward to seeing what the Norwegian Sun is like for us. Jay & I weren't all that impressed with the Caribbean Princess, and the NCL Dream was pretty small, but we enjoyed the trip. I'm hoping that the Sun will be the "happy medium" for us. I'd like to find something out there that we'd all enjoy. Not necessarily on Norwegian, but similar in size and offerings.
Does that make sense??

If I didn't love gaRry so much, I'd say that was an evil thought. :smooth:

:rotfl2: You did at that!! :rotfl2:

We have a Epson Picture Mate, which has been just terrific. But only prints the standard 4x6 size.

Here is a link to PC Magazine photo printer review that offers some great information;

http://www.pcmag.com/products/0,,qn=All+Photo+Printers,00.asp

As you know, the printers are pretty cheap, it's the replacment ink refills that can add up over a period. Definitely look at the duty cycle and refill costs in the equation. :thumbsup2

Thanks. That is exactly what I needed.

Good Morning All - It's Election Day - Please vote...

I should have voted in advance as I found out I have to travel today....but should be home in time to go to the polls....Overslept so I don't think I will make it this morning and get to my out of town meeeting....

As for the state of the ships.....this is it....

Straight from the mouth of my November Shipmate: "I did talk to Captain Thord & asked about the Magic in Alaska. He said "not this ship", so when Katie said "How about the Wonder", he said that the 2009 itineraries are still being finalized, but that the Magic will NOT be in teh Caribbean during the summer of 2008. He didn't elaborate, but said the info would be released in a couple of months. Then the rebooking agent confirmed this with another Diser on board."

Whatever this means - we will have to stay tuned...

Have you REALLY considered that? Not judging, but for me that just seems kind of weird. The Wonder is a great ship, but two trips coming back to PC each time seems strange to me.....

Has anybody done a back to back four day?

Don't think you can do a b2b 4 day - It is 3 then 4 then 3?????

I'm interested in seeing the Wonder - as we have only been on the Magic - some folk readdly like one ship over the other.....

Maybe the Wonder will have special 7 day cruises for the 10 year Anniversary?????

Hey a U-YOP with Kevin and a B2B!!!!

So guess what was waiting for me when I got home last night???

Can Ya?????

Come on try!!!!!!!

Did you say "THE WETSUIT"

Yippeee ----- Well it is certainly easy to get on.....not a problem there....Color is tres cool......black with a neon DIZ green stripe on the side and up the arm.....

I shall try it out in water and see.....Sam thinks it is a little big around the waist and back - but I say that is for the Cruise Food.....(hee hee).

A little disappointed that the neck is not higher......anyone ever heard of a neoprene scarf?? :rotfl2:

And NO WAY are you getting a picture -- well maybe of Hedgie wearing it...

Take care - must rush...

:tinker:Good morning cruisers :tinker:

Happy Tuesday!

Getting a later start today as my seminar doesn't start until 9 am (and I now know how long it takes to get there). Have a great day everyone!

As for back to back Wonder cruises - that holds no interest for us. While we would get to CC twice we'd also go to Nassau twice which I wouldn't care for.

We'll be in WDW Dec. 6-10 (we leave early on the 11th). We have plans already for the nights of the 7 & 8th and the 9th during the day, but if you guys plan a mini meet keep us in mind.

We also will be in WDW around that time, but we'll have family with us....two sets.....some which have never done Disney "properly." So we have EVERYTHING planned. Stuff that we'd drop if we weren't showing ppl around, but we must do b/c of the guests. Plus we have a couple of outside things already planned so our free time is going to be very very limited.

Plan whatever is best for everyone else and if we can make it, great!!

And How Did You Get Up Soooooo Early ???????????

This is late compared to yesterday. I was up at 5:00 yesterday. Had to take Megan to get her car fixed. Today I need to vote, do some banking, go to a doctor appt, and then go have my makeover and photo session that got postponed from last week.

Maybe horses just aren't your thing. Ever thought of breeding Yorkies? Their kicks don't hurt so much. :dog:
