Well today is packing day. No, not for the cruise listed above, but for the one we sail on next Sunday! Can't believe it is almost here. We leave Thursday for our road trip which is why we are packing today (well this weekend to be sure).

Well there is a rumor that they have stopped selling the October 21, 2007 4 day cruise and people wonder if that will be the next Member Cruise. I bet we do hear about AKV as well. I don't think they will announce 2008 DCL itineraries however.

Hey Mary Have fun packing I know I'm not. Way too much stuff to still pack. I wish I were packing for a cruise that would be more fun. 20 years worth of "stuff" is an awful lot when you start seeing it in boxes. (still have lots to throw out too)
We got the keys to the house yesterday, now we get to clean and paint then start moving all of the boxes we have packed.

Time to get moving - literally.

Jay & i decided we'd best get in gear and get the apartment finished. My parents are coming this winter YEA!! and they want to stay in the "new" place.
So today I'm going to clean out the closets here at the house and take extra sheets and towels over there. We still have curtains to hang, and towel bars and such. The plumber is coming to fix a leaky faucet and hook up the dishwasher.....

And it's raining here. Whoo hooooo.

Hey! I was up at 5:45. Of course, I didn't WANT to be up. The dog was barking at the pigs outside.


We had a rattlesnake last night. Just outside the front door. Jay & Jared found it. And killed it. Better them than me.

We're having a real THUNDER-BOOMER! The dog hates it.


I've been researching Guatemala. Our Norwegian cruise has a stop in Santo Tomas de Castilla, Guatemala. Geesh, if you thought Costa Maya was primitive, you should see this place!

Stacey, hope you were really using the zoom on that rattlesnake shot. Or was it dead when you took the picture?

Guess what! We didn't go to the balloon park today. Kevin heard it's really been a mess, as in people have been unable to even get there. So Alicia got to sleep until noon. That's her heart's desire these days.

Good for Alicia! I wish I could have slept longer.

The snake was still alive at that point. After it was dead, it didn't have a head anymore. I was on the ledge to the carport taking that...just above it. Far enough away that he couldn't get me, though. Jay's the "chaser".
