Yea gaRry! One less thing to stress over! Now take your lovely wife out to dinner tonight.

Mary & Mark...are we going to get a trip report? How was the weather this weekend? Did the rain stop?

We need to start another game of "Where's Bear"...that was fun!

Safe travels home!!

I couldnt find a cute one for Bear! LOL See where did ya find that one same place? He is cute!

First snakes, now bees//////

Apparently a swarm decided to take over the compost bin....This is not good, as it is by the walk to the trash...oh well....the bee-man came today. It is a new swarm, no honeycomb yet. He gave them a hive and they will work it for a week when he will pick them up and take them to a new home.

We will eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches to make up for the $$$ it costs to move bees....But, I do not wish to harm them....

And how was your Sunday?????

Good morning everyone from Milwaukee!

We got up here about 3pm yesterday and checked into the hotel. Made it over to the Fest grounds by about 3:30 (we walked over). About 3:45 it started to rain. They let us on the grounds early (they were supposed to open at 4). Well Irish Fest is much like WDW - if the rain comes you just put on a poncho and keep having fun. Went to listen to our favorite band that always opens the fest (they are the guys who started it). Then for our dinner tradition of baked potatoes followed by roasted corn. Listened to another great group (if any of you are old enough to remember the Clancy Brother with Tommy Makem this group is made up of 3 of Tommy's sons as well as two other young men called the Spain brothers). After that it was off for dessert in the tea room and one last group for us. They were a bit loud so we didn't stay for that one instead we opted to head back to the hotel.

Got in about 8 or so and I was able to log on to chat. Had a great time with a number of Member Cruisers in chat.

Today we'll head back to the fest in the afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow a UTOP to start the day!

PDFG and everyone else who needs it!

Sounds like fun - glad you had a good time....wish we could be with you, but we will get to do WDW Food and Wine --- cannot wait!!!!

We do have a short Magic cruise scheduled for Dec and then new Years at WDW.

Hope everyone else checks in!!!!!

Now back to lurking

I'm checking in from Greensboro. Been in meetings all day. Dinner in the hotel with Casino night.

I got to see a little bit of the city this morning when running. It looked nice.

So far the food has been okay, not great. Drink, okay, but not great. Tonight is their last night so I hope they pull out all the stops!:cool1:

Enjoy!!!!!

Don't do anything Hedgie would be ashamed of!!!!!

Lovely morning in the Pug household... Coachpug, in an effort to clean out the dryer vent pipe that runs through the attic, put a gaping hole in our kitchen ceiling when he lost his footing walking on the beams. Makes my kitchen SOOOOOOOOO PRETTY. :confused3 Oh well. It never fails... one project always creates 3 more.

(Come to find out, it wasn't the vent that was the problem... something is wrong with the dryer- its running WAAAAAYY too hot... so now there's something wrong with the dryer AND something wrong with the kitchen!!!! C'mon- who needs a dryer when there are football and cheer clothes to wash 6 days a week. ICK.)

Off to hang some clothes on the line... :laundy:

Think of it as extra exercise - like Yoga - all that stretching!!!!

We spend yesterday stripping and cleaning floors at Mother's. The new baby is coming and he cannot be on a dirty floor - oh well....it needed doing...

Am ever sore!!!!! all those mop buckets...

Water is Heavy.

Weather today was picture perfect. Blue skies, highs in the upper 70's, fantastic. Mass was beautiful as usual. Followed by some good eats, watching a U2 tribute band, picked up some info on Nova Scotia (they had a whole area set up for them), back to hear our favorite band and then headed home. Just got in a few minutes ago after stopping to do grocery shopping. Great weekend.

As for "where's bear?" We've been collecting a few photos along and way and will be playing again - not to worry.

Sherry, Susan, Shelley, Patty, Fran, Karen (the other one), Samantha, Sue, Maria, Julia,
Angie, Jeri where have some of these regulars gotten off to? Have I missed posts from them? Havent seen anything posted from them in a good long while....some of them even not since we got back from the cruise??/ Come out comeout whereever you are!

I'm here :wave2: I've been quite busy with nothing in particular :confused3 The boys started school this past Monday. They're at the same school now - Bryce was hoping that Shane and his friends would NOT put him a trashcan as some sort of welcome to high school! So far it hasn't happened.........

We're still trying to figure out what Shane is not telling us about his little accident. It just seems like some details are missing. I don't remember if I posted after the other persons car was repaired and returned. It did only end up being $710.56. It's going to take Shane forever to pay it off! The poor kid will never get ahead between the debt and the gas guzzler and only working 12 or so hours a week.

Alan has decided he needs to start back on some sort of hobby. Work is just eating him alive. We have an old car - it's a Sunbeam Alpine. For those of you that remember Maxwell Smart, his little red convertable was a Sunbeam Tiger. There's also a Sunbeam in Dr. No - I think it's an Alpine. Anyway, it was his project car before Shane was born. He had it operational and all, put it in a local British Car Show a few times when the boys were little. Then it kind of went by the wayside. Now Alan has decided to fix it up again. He just went and picked up an old Mustang motor so he can convert the Alpine to something or other and make it go faster. He's out in the garage trying to figure out what to do with it. Somehow I think my vehicle is going to end up outside of the garage.

That's all for now. I gotta figure something out for dinner!

Sherry

It doesn't appear as though the prednisone and wearing this awful "boot" are helping my heel any. That leaves me with only one alternative. Will probably have surgery on the heel in October, when I'm back from the cruise and back from our train trip to the Grand Canyon. Oh goodie.
The good news is that it seems that the prednisone has helped my sore knee. So I guess that's probably just arthritis. Will be seeing that doctor in another week or so. It's *heck* getting old. Teeth falling apart, knees, heels, shoulders....eyesight....I don't think I'll ask what's next!

Back from camping and am catching up. While there my parents were talking about the injections my dad got in his knees for his arthritis. I said "cortisone?" and they said "no, chicken combs." Apparently there is some new thing made out of the combs of chickens and it is a WONDER DRUG for bad joints. Lasts 5-6 months. My dad went from constant pain every day to getting around like nothing is wrong with him!!! :earseek:

Ok, call caught up. Prayers and pixiedust to all those that need it. Good to see some of the ppl back and saying HI! :)

Camping was better this time.....not NEARLY as hot. We were in a different section (one without crazy para-gliders) and with a great loop for the kids to ride their bikes around.

Only one small problem....

Mike and I came home with Nick. KT went with my parents. They went to another campground that is about 30 minutes west of us. (Nick will join them tomorrow after his orthodontist appointment) But....on the way to the new campground, my parents were sideswiped by a pick up truck. From their account of it, it was very brief and my dad maintained full control of the suburban and trailer......but the vehicle damage is pretty bad. The suburban's right side is all scratched up and (because the camper caught the bumper of the truck) there is a big hole in the front of the trailer and "parts" of the trailer have been quite damaged. They were able to get to the next campground, but had to head out to Home Depot to get some sort of (?) luan to cover the hole in the trailer. THANKFULLY, there were no injuries....not to them, to the woman in the pick up, or to someone in another car that spun out and struck a guard rail! :earseek: No witnesses stopped so they are sure it will be a he said/she said case. But, in the long run, better trailer and suburban damage than people damage.

Just shook me up quite a bit to get the call "we've been in an accident!" :earseek:

Prayers and pixiedust: for them if you've got some.

Several of my seniors in my seniors exercise class at the hospital have had it done. Don't know much else but, they also swear by it...

OM, Glad everyone is o.k. - I've had a few of those calls from my parents, one including a trip to Madison Wisconsin to pick them up after they were sideswiped (I was visiting in Chicago during that call...)

I honestly thought you were joking! But I'm going to look it up and see what I can find out. I'm all for whatever works, without any cutting.

How did KT hold up through all that? What a scary thing! Thank heavens they were all okay. Sending pixie dust!
