Welcome Home Stacey!

Thanks, it's great to be home. But I bet I won't be saying that after my next trip.

And I won't be so glad to be home next Wednesday, when I spend all day in the dentist's chair. Icky, icky.

Where is the game at? Will Elizabeth be cheering? Let me know. Maybe we will wander over and see how the kids are doing.

No, the girls aren't cheering tomorrow.... it is team photo day, and then they have a tumbling clinic at Power Cheer. (We rent their gym when we need the spring floor.) This was a last minute scrimmage worked out with Merritt Island... at least we're home this time.

:cool1: But, the best thing will be staying in a hotel all by myself, sleeping in on Sunday and cable TV!!!! :happytv:

Gee, guess I don't get out much! :lmao:

Safe travels to everyone!

I agree with you which is why I am not at the bar with the rest of the group. I would rather enjoy the peace and quiet of my room.....with DIS of course!!:thumbsup2

Watch it, smart a** leck!

Security at the Omaha airport wasn't bad at all....but it's a small airport. What was really funny was seeing all the empty overhead bins on the plane. At least getting off the plane went much more quickly.

Same thing for my flights. Easy on and off.

I even heard some of the crew commenting about how much easier it was.

I like the new rules.

Good morning everyone from Milwaukee!

We got up here about 3pm yesterday and checked into the hotel. Made it over to the Fest grounds by about 3:30 (we walked over). About 3:45 it started to rain. They let us on the grounds early (they were supposed to open at 4). Well Irish Fest is much like WDW - if the rain comes you just put on a poncho and keep having fun. Went to listen to our favorite band that always opens the fest (they are the guys who started it). Then for our dinner tradition of baked potatoes followed by roasted corn. Listened to another great group (if any of you are old enough to remember the Clancy Brother with Tommy Makem this group is made up of 3 of Tommy's sons as well as two other young men called the Spain brothers). After that it was off for dessert in the tea room and one last group for us. They were a bit loud so we didn't stay for that one instead we opted to head back to the hotel.

Got in about 8 or so and I was able to log on to chat. Had a great time with a number of Member Cruisers in chat.

Today we'll head back to the fest in the afternoon.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow a UTOP to start the day!

PDFG and everyone else who needs it!

Thanks for thinking of us, Amanda. We have been busy with real life here. Custody, child support and things like that.

I had emergyency surgery 2 weeks ago and am home recovering now. I have been reading and lurking. I go back to work on my next scheduled wek. the 28th.

Trying to schedule a quick trip to WDW, but it doesnt look real hopeful anytime soon. Darn real life!!!!!

We do have a short Magic cruise scheduled for Dec and then new Years at WDW.

Hope everyone else checks in!!!!!

Now back to lurking

Hey Amanda...I'm here. Just like ladypoo said, caught up with life. Augie asked me yesterday if I've been on the boards lately. I had to answer NO.

So, helllloooooo to everyone. I'm still here!!! We haven't started school yet. The day after Labor Day for us here in the North East. Just hanging around waiting right now.

Update on my FIL: he's doing OK. He mentioned to my SIL, "when is this going to happen"? I feel sooo bad for him. He lost a lot of weight and sleeps all the time. He was glad to see the kids last weekend though. So that made it all worth while.

Getting ready for the 2008 dates. When do they come out, Sept. 1st? I'm waiting.

I better get going here. I'm still in my PJs believe it or not. A lazy summer Saturday for me.

Ciao for now.

Hi Patty...hope all is well with the emergency surgery...that's never a good thing.

Hi Maria! I'm having a lazy Saturday, too. Need to start some laundry pretty soon, though.

Thanks for filling us in, so far, Mary! Have fun...enjoy for all of us!! And, yes, I remember the Clancy Brothers. In college, we used to hang out in a bar/restaurant named Clancy's. A fine Irish Pub!

Back from Christopher's scrimmage... we haven't had more than 5 drops of rain in who knows HOW long... but of course it rained this morning... heaviest at gametime, of course!

Hey Jim & Sharon... had my first official "Matt sighting" this morning on the way to the field... he was driving safely. :drive:

Duplicate post... might as well do something fun...

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

These two sentences, one right after the other, struck me funny!!!

I DO hope you're feeling better!!!!!pixiedust:

Speaking of feeling better... my co-worker who was in the motorcycle accident stopped in this week... he's got about an 8" gash across the back of his head that is all sewn up, but is recovering nicely, and might be back to work before the end of the year. He still can't be left alone, can't watch TV or read, or do anything that requires any 'focus'... he is BORED out of his mind, and is sick of needing a 'babysitter'... which is probably a good sign.

All from doing something STUPID (pulling a wheelie) without a helmet in front of his own house while doing 10 mph... while his kids watched... how's THAT for a tough lesson learned????

Wow. I hope he had his own disability insurance! And what a tough lesson for his kids to learn. If he doesn't have any money coming in, then Christmas won't be much, either....not to mention watching Dad mend so slowly!

It doesn't appear as though the prednisone and wearing this awful "boot" are helping my heel any. That leaves me with only one alternative. Will probably have surgery on the heel in October, when I'm back from the cruise and back from our train trip to the Grand Canyon. Oh goodie.
The good news is that it seems that the prednisone has helped my sore knee. So I guess that's probably just arthritis. Will be seeing that doctor in another week or so. It's *heck* getting old. Teeth falling apart, knees, heels, shoulders....eyesight....I don't think I'll ask what's next!

Thanks for the status report. Glad to hear he was driving safely.

DIS, it's not just about at cruise.....

I'm checking in from Greensboro. Been in meetings all day. Dinner in the hotel with Casino night.

I got to see a little bit of the city this morning when running. It looked nice.

So far the food has been okay, not great. Drink, okay, but not great. Tonight is their last night so I hope they pull out all the stops!:cool1:

Have you been staying away from the doughnuts in the morning?? ;)
