:lmao: :rotfl2: Your DH does that too?!!!! :rotfl:

When I saw your post "staying out of the way" I figured it wasn't pretty!!! :rotfl2:

(sorry, Irene, I don't mean to laugh - I just SOOOOOO can relate!!! ;) )

One time when my parents were visiting (of course, it HAD to be when they were here!) Jay was outside digging a hole for something or another. I had gone out to talk to him when he hit the water line. Holy cow! Talk about "*$%$#@*#" My parents were in the house telling eachother "Go out there! I think he's going to hit her!" and "No...YOU go out there" :rotfl:
They hadn't seen what he'd done, they just heard him, and thought he was yelling at me! I just backed away slowly and came inside. I've learned to stay out of the way.

Hmm... gone for 3 days, and it only took me 30 minutes to catch up. You guys ARE slipping!!!

Didn't take the laptop with me, and DIS'ing on the PDA is just downright painful when you're not in a wi-fi hotspot. Spent 3 days in Stuart (FL) for 2 half-day meetings and a day of golf. Thankfully, the course is right on the water, so it wasn't dreadfully hot.

Stopped at the outlet mall in Vero on the way home, and got about half the kids school shopping done in an hour. (Its so easy to shop when they aren't with me!!!) Of course, I HAD to hit the Ann Taylor outlet for me, too. 20 years later, and I still need to 'school shop'...

OK, all you gadget gurus who rave about your GPS... I now agree with you. I took my boss' car for this trip, (as its a diesel and gets 40 mpg)... of course it has every bell and whistle you could imagine (for a car payment as big as my mortgage payment, it better), and of course it has a great navigation system. It was really cool knowing EXACTLY where I was even when I made a wrong turn thanks to poorly marked construction zones. (Gotta love FL...)

I have to drive to Bonita Springs in two weeks... in an effort to save the company fuel $$, I'll request to take that car again... :rotfl: :rotfl: ... after all, its for the good of the company!!

Welcome home, Scubas!

OM... nice tag. Nice droppings, too... don't even want to know what left those behind. We had mice in our attic in NH... certainly didn't make THAT kind of mess!

Stacey- Hope you're not melting... though I think that applies to just about EVERYONE these days... gotta love the dog days of summer!!

You should see what the packrats can do to the engine compartment of a parked car...in just one night!

And the heat wouldn't be nearly so bad if I weren't having my own internal "visits to the tropics"! I swear, I'm coming back as a man in my next life!
I'm beginning to think that my internal organs are going to boil and my brain is going to fry! (Sorry men, TMI)

But it's a DRY heat!

Actually, now that we've hit our "monsoon" season, the humidity is up to 15 or 20%.....a pretty noticable difference for us.

I think every Disney fan should visit Disneyland at least once. As Stacey said the thing that is most important to me is that Walt walked those streets, he sat on that balcony and looked out on the rivers of America, he held a party on the riverboat. It's a Small World is so beautiful out in Disneyland. POC and Haunted Mansion are both different from their counterparts at WDW. Plus you have unique rides like Matterhorn and Storybook Land boats.

I love WDW and since we own DVC we will be making many more trips there, but Disneyland holds a very special place in my heart.

Mary, I found myself all nostalgic at the Tiki room. It's still the original version, and I know Walt had a hand in designing it. Ditto with the Electric parade, or am I off on my years?

I don't know if the Electric parade was around when Walt still was, but I am sooooo glad they brought it back. Just hearing the music brings back memories.

I have one word for you Stacey: soy. It works for me anyway. I can tell a difference when I haven't eaten any in a couple of days.

Kiki, I used my little GPS in LA. Except I had the default on "shortest distance" instead of "fastest route". THAT was a mistake. On the way to DL from the airport, it had me getting off and back on the freeway several times. It got to be pretty funny. And then, on the way back to return the car, it was determined that I wanted to go to "Airpark" Blvd. instead of "Airport". We had a nice fight about that one, right in the middle of a traffic jam. They aren't perfect, but I wouldn't have tried to go anywhere in LA without it.

Guess I need to go get some soy. I'll try anything. Almost.

The Electrical Parade started in 1972, so I guess Walt never did get to see it.

I'm trying the bleaching tray the dentist gave me. It's on the bottom, where we're not doing the veneers. I've had it in for all of 15 minutes and I want to rip it out. YIKES.

That's what the cat and dog said too. I'm not sure if they missed me or enjoyed the break!!

Welcome to the club!!

Now for official membership you just need to go out and buy one.

I took ours to Alaska and it was great. There were a few times we had to find a restaurant before the tour started. Perfect.

Just take the plunge and get it.....for safety! :lmao:

The bags are unpacked. The pictures are loaded into the computer.

Our mission this weekend is to make the scrape book for Grandpa and have it in the mail on Monday. It won't be perfect and beautiful, but he really wants something that he can show all his friends.

I guess it is better to have something than to wait for the perfect one!

Maybe we will take some time and post some of the details from the trip as we are pulling them together for Grandpa.

Welcome Home Scuba Family!!

I hope Matt has called his mother by now.

Jim, please tell Sharon this seems to be the norm with sons. :confused3 My son, Eric, spent 10 days in Europe earlier this month. Do you think he even 'thought' to call his mother? Of course not!!! :lmao:

Uh, oh! I hear thunder - looks like a storm on the way :scared1: (it's been so long, I forget what rain looks like!!)

Welcome home to the Scuba family. Please do post your memories and pictures. We want to hear all about the trip!

Well, it's 8:30 and Sharon has finally given up waiting. She just called him in MI. Of course he was there.....just never got around to calling. I guess that is a guy this. :thumbsup2

Yep - it's a "guy" thing! I'm STILL waiting for Eric to call and tell me he's home; and he got home on 7/15! :rotfl2: I just call his girlfriend when I need to know anything!! ;)

Hi guys,

Missed all of you with no internet where I was in WV unless I went to the mall. It was really hot and stormy up there. Tried to meet up with Virgil but see he is in NY. Spent last 2 weeks trying to get mother's estate probate underway. Talk about pack rats. She still had the dress I wore to high school graduation 33 years ago. I guess one good thing have dropped two sizes and 30 lbs since the cruise. Lots of memories and hard to do on my own. Will have to make a couple more trips. Finally caught up on the pages I missed and ready for another cruise.

Hi Debb! :wave2: Welcome Home!! We've missed you. :grouphug:

I know what you're having to do in WV isn't easy. Stay strong.

And, we're all ready for another cruise too!! Come on 2008 dates!!!

Thanks for welcome back. It has been a chore. Lots of memories to sort thru. But looking forward to new ones with another cruise. Name is on list for when 2008 dates are released.
