my daughter was in the lab, she was in the 3-4 year old group. her name is madison but we call her maddy or maddy jade(middle name). she and rita may have been friends, everybody is her friend but she does'nt remember anyones names. lol

First off welcome to the DIS and the DCL forums! As Tina mentioned we really haven't set a date for the cruise yet as the 2008 dates haven't come out yet. We're looking at doing either an early June Eastern cruise or maybe something else if Disney does anything special. We hope you will join us! I'm not sure what ruins excursions you are talking about - what port are they in?

Well, a crappy thing happened to my mom and dad. They FINALLY decided to get a dog (theirs died of cancer in May of '03)

They found one on petfinder that they wanted. They contacted the woman in charge (she's in Cincy, they are in Cleveland) THey had to fill out an EXTENSIVE application. They passed. They had to have a HOME INSPECTION....they passed. Today they called to see if they could pick up the puppy tomorrow......the woman said "all of those puppies are gone already."

They are crushed. They had gone out and gotten puppy food and training treats and toys....and now they have nothing.

They are a bit picky....they want a female, YOUNG (8-10 weeks) smaller dog (but not toy) preferably not long hair, great personality.
My mom was in tears on the phone calling to tell me this. I think it's pretty crudy that they made my parents jump through all these hoops and in the meantime led them on that they still had the puppies.

Boy...I'd be making phone calls...I don't care to who...Better Business Bureau, newspapers......something! We have a couple of TV stations that EAT UP stories like this. They are kind of like "problem solvers"...getting money back for people who were ripped off, etc. I'd be calling!

That's just CRUEL. To the breeder, obviously it's just "business" but to the family waiting to adopt....... that's their new family member.
