Is it my imagination, or is the font different in our thread titles?


I couldn't get on here for a while, so I was looking around elsewhere.

The boys lost...but they did great. They played a team that not only had not lost a game, but no one had even scored against them. Our boys scored 10 runs...but the other team scored 16. If we'd had a full 9 innings (Little League only plays 6) we might have beat them, the guys were just finding their bats (hitting well) and gaining confidence.
But at least I won't be having 3 more weeks of baseball. But that also means I won't get my "vacation" in Fabulous Kingman, Arizona.

Condolences to Jared on the loss and Congrats on scoring so well agains "THAT" "OTHER" team....

Hey, you can still go to Fabulous Kingman, take the weekend off, go ahead, it's ok....

Nope. Gary is right. B/c of the tilt of the earth the sunrise varies by season. Right now, it's coming up pretty much due East for us. But in the winter it comes up in the SE. First noticed that phenomenon when we moved in here and certain times of the year (now) we could eat breakfast at the kitchen table without problems. But in the winter we'd be blinded by the sunrise coming in the garden window. Hence the shade we have there now.

Opposite happens in my "school" room where the computer is. This time of year the darn due East sun gets me in the morning, but in the winter it's far enough SE to be blocked by trees on it's way up.

Seems weird, huh?

Hi all! I've been in lurking mode the past week. I've had time to keep up but not enough time to post.

Glad the Scubas are back together. Can't wait to read how the trip is going.

I've been working on my scrapbook at night. I'm pleased with it so far but I'm sure it's not up to par with you veteran scrapbookers.

Good morning. It's 4 am and I should be getting the early morning post. Guess I'll just have to work on getting the late night posts.

Matt took the computer to his room to post, but I see he never got around to it. I found the tv still on in their room this morning.

Last night was a quiet night for us. Went down town for dinner. Got back to the hotel around 8 PM and crashed.

The hotel is nice. Right now I am sitting in the lobby next to a Kodiak brown bear. To bad they don't have any coffee available. They suggested I make some in my room. If I did that I would see Sharon turn into a brown bear!

Hopefully the rest of the family got in last night. It was going to be after midnight by time they got in. Glad we traveled early.

Today's schedule is meet with whoever gets up for breakfast at 9 am. After that we are hiking Flattop Mountain. It is a couple of hour hike right here in Anchorage that gives a pretty overview of the city and mountains.

We meet up with the tour group at 6 pm for the kick off dinner.

Lisa loved flying in yesterday because she got to see snow and glacers.

The sun is up and shining. Wish I could get my family to do the same

Best to just let the sleeping bear sleep.

We will post later tonight.

My sister took my niece and friends over to Ace yesterday for a trial class. She liked the gym better than Brown's. While at Ace, she saw a news crew outside. She she doesn't know what to think after seeing them on the news last night.

Well Frances just picked up Lauren from camp... a little soggy but she had a great time. They are now on the way to Pittsburgh to catch a flight to NYC. Lauren is doing a dance camp that she won a scholarship for at a competition.... Hope they don't kill each other before I fly out to join them on Wednesday....

We have tickets to see Jersey Boys, Wicked and of course the production Lauren is going to be in.... Should be fun....

Not sure I trust Frances being in NYC for 8 days shopping....

OK - I get to spend my day off driving to Wheeling to see my dad.... I'll be back later!

Glad the Scubas are all together again!

Nope..not a weekend off for a while. What I get to do is make all the appointments I haven't been able to make. Get the car fixed, get my tooth fixed.
I'm actually quiet happy about that!

Yep...our house faces south, so it's not as noticeable, but there is a sliding glass door in the dining room that faces East, and I can tell the difference.
