Siding guys are here, HVAC guy is here. Our bank called and we close tomorrow morning on our home equity loan (just an hour before we leave). Contractor said siding would be done by now, but rain and high winds have slowed them down pushing back the finished product until later in the week. We probably won't even recognize our house when we get home in 2 weeks! But, packing is all done except for testing supplies (OM, you know what that is, right?). Everyone pitched in yesterday to clean the house, so other than utter chaos around here, everything is under control.

I think that Gretchen, Molly & Minnie need their very own DIS Door Signs for VIP!!!

BBB posted on the main board about bringing alcohol on board. Can I pack bottles in my big luggage that I'll hand-off at the port or do I have to carry it on board? Remember we're driving so we don't have any airline rules to contend with.

We have been packing finally!!!!!!!! we cant find the garment bag so will have to go and get one later. have our fan packed, snorkels, shoes are piled up.(gathered). dresses in one place. Slowly, but surely we are getting there.

Boards are slow - meetings are slow....I am racing like crazy -- off to do errands for Mother at lunch - stop by the bank etc etc....Now I am concerned about the Box of port....maybe I should get a rolling bag...

A pedicure is a great idea...Maybe I can treat Maggie with one for her birthday on Wednesday...

Do it!!! Lisa (11) loved it. This may have been a serious mistake however, she wants to know when we can go again. I told her, keep your grades up (A's) and I am sure we can work something out. This was her "payoff" for straight A's last term. She was going to do it on the ship, but we decided it might be too risky to hope they would allow an eleven year old. They have so many rules in the salon / spa area related to age. ENJOY!!!!

Quick cruise question... someone must know...

Is there skim milk on board, or just that "chunky whole-milk sludge" that my kids will absolutely refuse to drink???

We plan on getting our pedicures on Thurs. So we will have nice pretty feet. LOL.. that will be about all.

have had to come up with new arrangements for Maggie. My daughter was going to keep her, but we are going to have to board her for a few days. So that will be one more thing to do Fri morning before we leave.

There was skim milk on the August cruise.

When Sue, Jeanne and I were on the Magic in January they had skim milk. When we ordered coffee and juice in the am I always marked them to send skim milk and they did. I also saw it at Topsiders. (I only drink fat free/skim milk. I agree whole milk is too thick for me.

I will pack some in the big suitcases, the ones with sides on them. I wrap in bubble wrap, put in bags, and then put in the middle of the suit case. I've never had a problem with that.

I will not put in in the roller duffle bags.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jim! That's exactly what I needed to know. I'll definitely be packing mine in the big luggage. You just reminded me to put bubble wrap on my shopping list.
