Jim- are you taking a box - or packing in a suitcase - serious now.

Serious answer - I pack all the wine, port, beer, etc in back packs. This year is looking pretty easy. I only have to haul 17 bottles of wine plus my own. Matt and I can wrap these in bubble wrap and we should be able to put them in to backpacks.

This might be the perfect top. Wine, port, beer, shared with Irene and all the DISers. :cool1:

Mike always has a good reason not to answer family's questions....

"hey, can you look at this rash?"
"what are the side effects to this medication?"
"is this lump supposed to be here?"

He just says "hey, I do pediatrics....you are outside of my scope of knowledge" :)

But Jordan might still be considered a Ped. Except she just told me she isn't going to the party. Oh well. Will have to go see the pay-for doctor! :)

I have Jay packed. Jordan is working on hers and doing her laundry.

Will do Jared's when we get home from the party.

See ya later!

On to packing. Believe it or not, the kids are outside and the house is quiet. Great conditions for concentrating. When you get older, any distraction could be disasterous. Think, think, think....

I hear ya. I wish they'd all just go away. Megan called 3 times. They're coming over...and spending the night. The electricity is out at their apartment.
:sad2: :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:
At least they aren't bringing the cats.:cat: :cat:

There you go!!!

I don't think any of us lost the weight we had wanted to....so we might as well just scratch that one off the list.

I second that!

Never lived in CT - I'm a Jersey girl!! (but don't hold that against me :lmao: ) Born & raised in Bergen County - great location: across the Hudson from NYC and right by the Rockland County NY border :thumbsup2

:woohoo:

Jersey Girls rock! (OK, I'm a Philly girl by birth, but after 8 years, the Garden State's adopted me. :goodvibes)

See I'm spoiled. With our Cat 7 our lifeboat station is in Animator's Palette. We get to sit in cool comfort! :teeth:

You mean to tell me that muster stations are assigned by SR category and not location???? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard... it would create one heck of a CF if there were a REAL emergency!!!!

So does anyone know where the Cat 9 SR's are banished to???

Then you hire out a troop of Boy Scouts to haul all those backpacks???

Actually they assign them based on life vest size.

NO NO NO. You're ok. They are assigned according to where you are on the ship....forward, midship, aft.

Mark and Mary must get a room near the back...yeah, checked their site...they're pretty far back. The back ppl go to Animator's Palate. The bulk of the midship ppl go to deck 4. Some of the front ppl take some weird "crew only" stairway that goes somewhere....not sure where.

It will be on the back of your stateroom door what muster station you are to go to with a diagram of how to get there. There will also be crew members at the stairwells directing you on where to go.

The big letter on your lifevest is your MUSTER STATION....it is NOT the size of the lifevest!!!! :lmao: :lmao:

Your muster station (or assembly station) will also be printed on your kids wristbands....for example, if you are in assembly station F it will say AS:F on their wrist bands....I guess in case of an emergency they can get the kids with their families that way. :)

:sad2:

This is the most "unprepared" that I have ever been for a cruise! However, I had my "author's tea" for my class on Friday. (Lots to get ready for that.....they created their own books, etc.)

Kelly is having her birthday party this afternoon/tonight (sleepover... . .UGH!)
(Someone please tell me why I cleaned my house for this???)

As soon as everyone is out the door tomorrow morning, we are in MAJOR crunch mode!!!!!!!!

(is it irresponsible to drink wine while kids swim?) :confused3

No, they are set by location, the nav verandahs are all in the aft section of the ship above Animator's.

Actually, the forward people get the real luxury muster station, the WD Theater.
