:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 What is the one weird item you pack yet have no idea why :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

For me it is my box of gernola bars (as if the ship will run out of food) or the five bottles of sunblock (as if I can't buy more if we run out) :rotfl2:

Still doing the Virgil thing - so, I may be too late...

:rotfl2: Oh, you'll have to get OM to repost her list...They are well-prepared in case of any emergency..

Don't rub it in... Last year, as we were schvitzing on deck 4, some poor kid walked to the rail, leaned over and was sick. Unfortunately, the plexiglass barrier caught the bulk of it. Poor kid. Poor us. And poor CM who had to take care of it.

Ashley's costume is so adorable this year. Emily's is pretty too and she's dancing to a "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes". How fitting to dance to that song the day after we get home from the cruise! Dress rehearsal is Tues. so I'll snap some pictures.

The dance studio comes to daycares so all of the kids are young. They've got it set up right ... no long days for little ones. They break the recitals in to 8 or so groups at a time. So, no one has to sit there for more than an hour. The auditorium is small too so maybe that's why they do it that way. There's probably an hour between groups ... enough to clear everyone out & get new kids & parents in. It goes on all day.

This is Emily's 3rd year so she'll have to go on stage to receive her trophy this year.

YES! Pictures...we want pictures!!

See, I'd deal with the babies anyday over the kids in 3rd and 4th grade who are getting attitudes. That's who I had the most trouble with last night. At least with the babies I don't have expectations that they will behave well.

I didn't think to ask....maybe to a teenager, 3rd and 4th grade ARE the "little ones".

Well our plan is that we'll wear our shirts for boarding and the DIS meet. We are then going to change either right before or right after the drill (depending on home much time we spend chatting at the meet) and wear our dinner clothes to sailaway so that we can go right from that to dinner.

I'm pretty sure those on late seating will most likely not change until after sailaway.

Are you going to have those clothes with you in a carry-on?
We won't change until after sail-away (late dinner) and I'm just hoping our bags will be in our room by then.
Actually....I hadn't planned on having Jay change. He'll most likely wear his DIS shirt and Dockers to dinner that first night. Is that okay...or a bad idea???

We won't change for dinner until after sail-away, but usually try to pack dinner clothes for that first night in our carry-on bags, just in case. On our first cruise, all of our bags arrived in time for dinner (late). Last year, we didn't have either of them before we left for dinner (also late). So it really can go either way. The good news is it's a casual night...

We really enjoy sailaway and like to stay up on deck as long as possible. That's why we change before going to it. Remember that the first night is casual so if your bags aren't there don't stress. You'll be among friends.

WOW....you must have ESP. That answers my question about Jay wearing his DIS shirt to dinner.

How exciting that we only have one week until we sail. But that also means that I can officially panic now. I've done remarkably litttle to get ready (our "ready-to-pack" pile is pathetically small), my to-do list is really long, I have way too much to do in the next 6 days. So not only am I know a proud, card-carrying member of the "crud, I didn't lose weight before before the cruise" club, I'm now asking to join the "time to panic and pack" club. :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Welcome....welcome to the CLUBS!

That's where we were for a couple of our cruises. Pretty nice!
This time, we're back out on Four.
I'm hoping the new life jackets are a little more comfortable, at least.

And we'll have lots of company down there.....our "three in a row" group can get the sailaway started early.
I just made myself laugh.....can you see the poor CM's trying to get me to shut up, when I have Virgil, Frances, Lauren, Kristin, and DVCDebb to talk to????:hyper2: :hyper2:

Well, I feel a little better. I stayed up and finished my bag...will do Jay's before we leave for the double graduation party we're going to.
Then all I'll need to do is supervise the kids' packing.........

I don't think any of us lost the weight we had wanted to....so we might as well just scratch that one off the list.
