JIM...do not answer this question. Inquiring minds DO NOT want to know!

But I bet the baggage xray guys were curious as to why you packed rose petals last Christmas.

Okay I won't tell. :guilty:

Besides, like any good dad I put all that stuff in Lisa's bag. :rotfl2:

Are we really that boring? Our posts will put you to sleep?

And just think you are going to spend 7 days with us. You should get plenty of sleep. :rotfl:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 What is the one weird item you pack yet have no idea why :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

For me it is my box of gernola bars (as if the ship will run out of food) or the five bottles of sunblock (as if I can't buy more if we run out) :rotfl2:

HUMMMM......Weird, well nothing, I am perfectly normal....let me think;;;;; :hourglass :hourglass :hourglass :confused3 :confused3

A book - no read while waiting in the parking lot to drop off luggage.

Wine - in case the sip runs out :lmao:

Pirate Sign = No it was Sam's Birthday?

I know - too many clothes........on our first cruise. I ate soo much we could only fit into the velvet stretch pants....'tis true.

A top with Soothy and weird stuff in suitcases......

:wave2: - GaRRyy - this is me - waving....

Gosh, all caught up...now I have to finish cleaning...I could sit here and read posts, but I am all caught up :sad1

So, I guess I need to start --

It is a beautiful morning here :sunny:

Our godson makes his First Communion today at 4:30 pm - so there is a time certain to be completed with chores...And dinner with his parents and friends after church....Mary - his gift came from the Shrine...We were glad the dae was not next week....the select by class and two years after the child signs up so they would not have been able to switch the date had it been next week, but it is not.....

Safe travels to all who are on the road....Good Luck if you are packing today....

Good Morning All - I have started nagging DM to pack. She needs an overnight bag for the train, one for Ron Jon and another for the cruise. If Jeanne has orange hairs on her clothes it is from our little cat Magic.

Good morning all! I'm soooo excited that we'll be on the Magic next weekend!

Mary, or anyone else, remind me of the plan for embarkation day with regards to changing clothes for dinner? Before or after the lifeboat drill?

Ok, I need to go to bed. I've got a headache and am in a rotten post-dress-rehearsal mood. better to go to bed than take it out on my family....or you guys! :)

I hope you had a good night's sleep & a much better day today. Our dance place only requires a stage mom but they say if your child is timid, then it's not the job for you. It won't be me this year as I'm sure I wouldn't get Ashley on stage if I was there.

Hi Diana!

Yes...I LOVE seeing the tiny little ones in their tutus and other costumes. The little ones were the bumblebees, butterflies and flowers in The Secret Garden....their costumes were darling!
But Jordan was in charge of the dressing room, and she said dealing with the little ones was a nightmare!

Ashley's costume is so adorable this year. Emily's is pretty too and she's dancing to a "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes". How fitting to dance to that song the day after we get home from the cruise! Dress rehearsal is Tues. so I'll snap some pictures.

The dance studio comes to daycares so all of the kids are young. They've got it set up right ... no long days for little ones. They break the recitals in to 8 or so groups at a time. So, no one has to sit there for more than an hour. The auditorium is small too so maybe that's why they do it that way. There's probably an hour between groups ... enough to clear everyone out & get new kids & parents in. It goes on all day.

This is Emily's 3rd year so she'll have to go on stage to receive her trophy this year.

Oh noooo ... don't tell me that. I just bought new capris that fit JUST RIGHT. Guess I'll be wearing them at the beginning of the cruise rather than the end. I'll save the stretch ones for late in the week.

Of to go clean house then THINK about packing. I really wanted to make a door sign for pirate night but haven't gotten around to it yet ... not sure that I will. I was going to take a pirate page out of the girls' DCL coloring book, scan it then color it but time is running short ... don't have a scanner at home any more ... would have to go to work.

I do enjoy seeing the littlest ones discover their inner ham. Isn't that the best part of recitals?

That's one of my favorite parts of the recital! (other than my own kid dancing, that is)
We call them "the babies." And when the babies dance it is so darling. There are the ones who don't dance and just look around. There's always the one that spots their mom in the crowd and waves. It's just adorable. :)

See, I'd deal with the babies anyday over the kids in 3rd and 4th grade who are getting attitudes. That's who I had the most trouble with last night. At least with the babies I don't have expectations that they will behave well.

Well our plan is that we'll wear our shirts for boarding and the DIS meet. We are then going to change either right before or right after the drill (depending on home much time we spend chatting at the meet) and wear our dinner clothes to sailaway so that we can go right from that to dinner.

I'm pretty sure those on late seating will most likely not change until after sailaway.
