Yippie. KT is taking her semester assessment in Literature. Nick is taking his in Hitory. That means between now and cruise time (for me) all Nick will have is spelling and KT will have spelling and vocabulary.

KT has just a titch of Science left (with Mike) and a couple of History units (with Mike).

YIPPIE!! Light at the end of the tunnel!!!

I hope you remembered the envelope labeled "Wine Money".

UH OH...........
So far this morning, I've been reminded of THREE envelopes I've forgotten. Back to the bank..........

Yes, Cut the shoes to a minimum. If they don't like them. Just claim you forgot the color coordinated ones so if they don't like your black shoes it sandals or no shoes.

My AI thoughts:

I fell in love with Katherine's voice when they showed a clip of her singing during Hollywood week. I don't think they've ever shown her audition. And I've been waiting for her to sing like she did then! Finally, last night she did! Black Horse and a Cherry Tree was great too. I heard the original recording the other day and Katherine DID sing it better. I'm thinking that she sits so that she focuses on her vocals. She doesn't seem to be naturally graceful, and walking around and dancing seems to distract her.

I enjoy Taylor, I like Elliott too. Taylor doesn't sing all that great when he's dancing either, but no one seems to mind. Wouldn't buy a CD by either of them, I don't think. If Katherine's is done right, to suit her talents, it should be a good one. I think a Taylor/Katherine finale would be good. And I won't be voting (sorry Kat), I'll be in Epcot!

Stacey, you always need an extra couple of hundred for the stuff you forget!

Kevin is thinking about not taking his tux this time, but taking his nice black suit instead. He usually takes both, we're trying to cut down on total weight. The scuba gear and camera weight goes up, so some clothing needs to go down. We won't have much luck convincing the teen of that though. When I told her there is only ONE formal night, and ONE semi-formal night on this cruise, she looked at me like I was crazy.

Stacey, how did you know that "Leeshie" is her nickname?

I got Alicia and Bernie to pose with their haul. They've been asked to perform at another show a few days after we get back. Too bad we can't take Bernie on the cruise for the talent show! But I do have a DVD!

Wish our teachers were as easygoing...;)

Frances turned in the form to the teacher's today about Lauren's absence... Boy, was Frances pissed.... Very condescending comments from them.... Good thing I didn't turn it in - as well - I wouldn't have kept my mouth shut. Doubt that would have helped our case.... but... considering Lauren is a straight A student, the youngest in her class because she skipped a grade....scores the highest on the standardized test, etc... I really don't care.... If they don't want my $4.5k next year.... oh well....

Rant off.....

I believe they did show her auditon tape (do you mean originally, or SINCE her audition?) I'm pretty sure she's the one whose mom is her voice coach.

Here she is:

Thanks, OM, never saw that. Did they show it on the air? I may have missed an audition show here or there. I don't like it when she belts it. She can be a recording artist without belting, right?

Nope. Not me. I stick whatever I can on the Disney Visa to get points. We'll be heading to the cruise with $609 courtesy of Disney Visa! :) Ya just gotta be careful that you pay off the balance each week,....b/c getting $609 but paying $1000 in interest to get it isn't cool!! :)

I did find out I can call FL Tours a couple of days before the trip and put my car on my Visa....going to do that too. I really don't *like* carrying that much cash. I'll bet we'll have less than $200 cash for the trip.

Cool! Caught up to a U TOP shared with Stacey!

I decided to take "shopping" money this time, after having trouble with the credit card (specifically the money conversion) in December. Besides, it will insure that I only buy small souvenirs, and no jewelry!!

Thanks for reminding me to pay FLTours in advance, though...that helps a lot.

Is that what you pay for private school? Wow. The schools around here are all in the $13K range. But yeah, totally agree. She's not exactly a truancy case.

But what about those Mystic/Rainbow stone things? Or are they cheap enough to be covered?

Thanks for answering my question Stacey & Karen. I was wondering how much cash we needed to have for room service tips (can I charge those or is it better to give cash?), cabs, etc. I'll be using my rewards card for the server & stateroom host tips.

Ang

I keep an envelope with at least $20 in ones (and there's usually some left over) somewhere handy, so that we can tip room service in cash. I just hate coming home to a huge credit card bill....and this way (although you don't have to worry about this yet) if the kids order room service, they can tip them also.

And I think the black sandals would be just fine for your khaki dress, too. Most importantly... be comfortable!
