5 + 2 yr old too crowded at Contemporary?

I know we'll all legally fit. I also know it's the biggest deluxe room (I think). Also the most reasonable. How crowded will we be? We're thinking of 3 nights ASMo (2 rooms), 3 nights Contemporary (1 room) and 3 nights Dolphin (2 rooms) just to give all the resorts a try (March 7-15).

I think it depends, if the 2 year old would be sleeping in some sort of portacrib then it might be a little crowded, but if they would be sleeping in the bed with 2 others it wouldn't be as bad, I think either way it might be a little crowded, but it is definately doable. I love the Contemporary so I would go ahead with it myself.

Personally I think it would be way too crowded. Yes the rooms are bigger (I've stayed there) but only with one other person. I can't imagine sharing with 5 other people. That would be very overcrowded-especially with one bathroom. I would go for two rooms at the other resorts you mentioned (4 nights one, 5 nights the other) Also moving between that many resorts in 9 days can be a lot of work with packing and unpacking.

What are the ages of the other people? My sister stayed at the CR with 3 adults and 3 children, the youngest was 2. It was tight, but do-able if you're friendly . The adults were in the beds, the older children were in the day bed which is about the size of a twin bed and the baby was in the port-a-crib. We (2 adults and a 2 year old) were next door and were much less crowded. The bathroom would be the biggest drawback. The sink is in the same room as the shower.

The kids are 10,8,6 and 2. Luckily three of the kids are boys so require very little time in the shower/bath. I'm pretty quick too (my daughter and I will just do ponytails and run) so the bathroom doesn't bother me. I was really concerned with walking between body space. The 8 & 6 year old can share the queen bed. The 10 or 2 year old on the day bed. Either the 10 or 2 year old would be on the floor on an air mattress. It would just be for 3 nights. Is switching between 3 resorts really too many? We usually travel with my husbands parents who can't/don't want to resort switch so we were hoping to check out specifically a monorail resort, an Epcot resort and the value to see which we prefer. I guess I'll have to consider the unpacking and packing really carefully...thanks for the info!!

I think if you are of the temperament that you can put up with the hassle of switching resorts every few days, any room size related issues should be a breeze.

I think if you add an air matress into the mix you will be very cramped. You really don't need one since you can get a crib delivered for the 2 year old. Plus, there is really plenty of room for 2 small children on the daybed. If you have a reservation for a Standard Wing room, request a ground floor so you can open the door and let the kids play outside your room .

As for resort hopping ... I personally wouldn't move 3 times. I try to move as little as possible because I hate to take the time to pack up, move, check-in, etc. It seems to waste a good part of the day . Plus, you can never be sure that your room will be ready until 4pm so you are essentially homeless if you want to return from the parks for a nap or swim on a resort change day. An additional thing to think about is the Disney Luggage Fairies will not move your bags to/from the Dolphin so if you don't have a car it might be an even bigger hassle.
