We will be staying at the GFV July 3-5 and was hoping to watch the MK Fourth of July fireworks from the TOTWL on 7/3. I just saw the restriction dates for gaining access to TOTWL which include both 7/3 and 7/4. Just asking, from personal experiences, how strictly this is enforced for either of these July nights? Also, is there a good viewing area from GFV where the music is piped through? Can access be gained at PVB? Thank you in advance for your input.

You probably won't have luck at TOTWL, but the marina at GF does pipe in the music. Poly is also pretty strict during those dates about checking for resort guests.

My experience is with NYE, but they had signs posted at every entrance and every elevator with a notice of the restriction. I booked BLT at 11 months for this July 4th just so I could have the option of viewing from the TOTWL.

I've booked to go up on the 3rd! We were there for NYE and the 30th and were very happy with the crowd and view!

We're planning to be in the park on the third, but I'm not so sure my traveling companions can handle the crowds, so I might see you there!

Strictly enforced. Stayed at blt for July 4th 2 years ago. No blt reservation on a blackout date, no access to the lounge. It gets crazy crowded up there.

Too late for this year, but for future reference, I agree with the previous poster who indicated that the policy is strictly enforced. We stayed at BLT two nights ago, and we did go up to TOTWL for the fireworks. At registration there was a man who, from the context of the conversation, had already been turned away once and was returning for a second try. He was wheedling, he was a BLT owner and staying at VGF only because there was nothing available at BLT, blah, blah, blah. No luck.

We went up early for a drink and a snack, but there was still plenty of prime viewing space along the wall at 8 pm. By 8:30 there was more of a crowd (fireworks were at 9:00).

You ain't kidding about the Poly either. We had an O'hana reservation for 7:00 and had 3 people stop us. There was a security guy on the main road (I forget the name of the road - the one that runs by the TTC too) that asked where I was going (told him I had a dinner reservation), then when I pulled into the Poly drive another security guy asked for my name to check, then the guard at the gate asked for my info again to check me off the list.

That place was locked down.
