4th of July pins and souveniers

I've read that each park has special pins (and possibly other items) for July 4th. Are they for sale only in the respective parks and only on July4th? Is it possible to purchase any of these at the gift shops right outside the park turnstiles as well?

Rumor is that this year some 4th of July pins will go onsale on July 1st and additional pins will be released on July 4th. Try www.dizpins.com for pin release info.

we did all four several years ago. just try to make sure you hit the park w/EE first and then onto the next. i think we were finished by noon. but just know, you are on a mission. these limited edition pins sale out quickly. good luck!

my family was at the world for 4th of july last year and we did the "marathon" of getting all of the pins from all of the locations starting early in the morning...had a lot of fun doing it with the kids....but as was said above, you are on a mission and they do sell out quickly so no time for sightseeing...

We were at MGM last 4th of July. We saw a long line right by the hat. We asked what it was for and they said they were selling the pins there. You could only buy so many per person and the line took a very long time. Each park sells different pins. MGM only had two so I am assuming there are two different pins per park.

Does anyone know "where" in the parks you can buy these? We'll be at MK and EPCOT on the 4th and I'd like to try for both ! I know, I'm crazy!!!
