Well sometimes it pays off when you keep a reasonable distance and remain patient. Sometimes people react weird when something is greater than they're used to and don't know how to handle it because it's new. Some people screw up because they are afraid they're going to do something wrong. In my case, I saw a bunch of red flags from the get go, but then I took the time to get to know him and really listened to his fears and let him open up to me. Derek and I have definitely had our fair share of problems since we got together in August, but no matter how bad things got, I found that I could instantly forgive him because I truly love him. I moved back home from California because we had a falling out and I was so upset. It took being away from him to realize that I really can't live without him and now I'm moving to Oregon to be with him in a few weeks. He's moving back from Cali then he's flying to Indiana to meet my family then take me home with him. Time tells the truth. It's a cliche, but I've learned that cliches exist for a reason... because they are the absolute perfect combination of words that explain a sincere situation. We still have a long road ahead of us but we both love one another and that's all that matters. If the signs say run, then run. I did and it made me realize what I am really supposed to do in the long run. (no pun intended
Soooo, with all his worry and stress, he has turned into a grump. I didn't realize that men can be like this. I don't care too much. I have some free time. It's actually kinda nice being able to get on the Dis and chat with the girls. I have never been one to get caught up in a relationship. Whatever happens, happens.

And I DEF am in for a Seattle trip if the dates work and I think we need a norcal/bay area meet as well!! That will def keep things lively in the meantime with all these mini meets!!
Beth thanks for asking about mom and thanks to all the others who have wished her well/asked about her. As I mentioned she has a sinus infection and the doc gave her some antibiotics (I think the box said zithromax) and he gave her some cough syrup with codeine. Don't ask me why she has such a bad cough. I didn't think you got a cough with a sinus infection and she has a REALLY nasty one. That is why I thought she had bronchitis but the doc claims that all the drainage is causing the cough. Sorry I know TMI. But anyway I think if she gets these meds going she will be better. It hasn't helped that she has been on a dead run, including a trip up to truckee, yesterday. Luckily she is going to stay home tomorrow and only go up there on Sunday!
Kaoden you probably said your name but I feel like such a dummy calling you by your screen name but thanks so much for the sympathies about the office. I have been in a mood for sure today. It has just been "one of those days" for sure. I went to pick up my oldest and there is all this mud along the side of the road where we have to park and a few weeks ago my car got stuck so today I tried to park on the one patch of concrete and I hit a drainage pipe with my tire/bumper. It sounded awful! I was afraid I might have damaged the tire.
All I know is I better not leave the house again or lives could be lost LOL.
I have to go pick Shelby up from talent show practice here soon. I'm skeered!!!

Thanks so much Beth, Deb and Tina for thinking of mom. She took her drugs yesterday and I haven't talked to her yet today so not sure how she is feeling. Luckily she is not going to Truckee today so hopefully she can get a break but I think she is still going to have to do some work here in town. I know she was feeling a little better but going up to that cold in Tahoe did NOT help her at all. But unfortunately she HAD to go as one of their clients needed to make their carpet and tile selections before they went to Hawaii for a MONTH! Must be nice eh?
Anywho yes I would LOVE to go to the Seattle meet and hope it works out. I know mom will want to come with and as far as dates for us we are "hoping" to go to DL the week of June 21st so the weekend before and after that would be bad and then mom goes to monterey in August but if she is unavailable I would still try to come and maybe I can room with someone who is coming from out of town. If you guys end up choosing a weekend I can't come I understand but I sure hope it works out cuz I would LOVE to come! I loved living up there and miss it a lot!! Mom and I have gone up there several times for vacation since I moved back to Cali in 98 and we LOVE it up there in both OR and WA! We LOVE Pike's market and the whole puget sound area. LOVE all the ferrys and have pretty much ridden all of them. Love the whole westlake area and the space needle. Just all of it and I am up for whatever anyone wants to do. I just hope we pick a weekend I can go. WHENEVER we decide it will be during a swim meet so Shane will have to take the girls without me but he will live LOL. This sounds like so much fun!
And hey all the norcal/bay area girls we need to think of a time we can get together as well. I can DRIVE to that! We can just do a day trip or an overnighter. I am up for whatever!
Anyway today we are off to basketball and supposedly they are having their awards ceremony. They told us at the beginning it would be today but we have heard NOTHING since. There are 4 teams in the 3rd/4th group and 4 in the 5th/6th so not sure how they are going to work it. It sure would have been nice to know before the DAY OF! But I am not surprised with this park and rec group. We used to swim with them to and that is one of the reasons we left cuz they are really unorganized but unfortunately it is the main one for where we live so that is where we have to go for all the school sports since they no longer do it through the schools anymore.
Then tomorrow if everything works out we are going to go see Alice! I'm excited and not going with too many expectations. I am just looking forward to the visual aspects if nothing else. That was one of my fav parts of avatar was just how amazing it was visually! And of course I am looking forward to the oscars tomorrow night!
