My only prob with the dates that won is that when I looked at those dates for THIS year the hotels and such were REALLY expensive. I am guessing because it is that whole spring break thing like you said. So I am guessing that the March date is going to be pretty crowded as well and that hotel discounts are going to be few and far between as well as possibly airfare. So for me I know the reason I personally picked the F&W dates was because mom and I figured if it is going to possibly be crowded anyway AND if we have to end up paying for a blocked out day which we WILL have to even with these march dates then might as well do it during a time when there is extra stuff going on.

Honestly if the F&W dates don't win I would just as soon go back to early march or feb because the only reason we picked the dates we did was because of food and wine. Those dates would be my last choice honestly because they have the blocked out saturday and the chance of crowds and higher prices are there but with nothing else. But that is just my 2 cents on the matter.

Mom and I def want to go and we can prob make it happen on any of the dates but for us the cost effectiveness is more of an issue than the time. If we are going to spend more money then we would like to have a "reason" if that makes sense. But we will go with whatever wins obviously. I'm just trying to throw some more thoughts into the mix.

I know this won't work for everyone for one reason or another but hopefully we can come up with a good compromise!

Kelly, I'm going to get a second poll started soon and then you will still have a chance to vote for the Food and Wine dates. As for hotel rates, I think working with Lorealle we'll find a decent rate. Or you can take a cue from Calcutta and cram 8 people into your room. lol

Kelly don't expect them to drop alot but they should be a little less because this year Easter is on April 4th and next year Easter is April 24th.

I also wonder why there is such a large gap between the march dates.

Cristabel - it's important to do a second poll to be fair. The number of people who voted against the March 31 dates far outnumber how many voted for this date. Out of four choices it won - but to be fair to everyone, a vote between two dates only will have a majority win (even if it's not everyone's first choice).

Because from what I've been reading and hearing, more people want a second poll than don't want it. And to give the 23 or so ladies who voted for something other than the two winning options a chance to vote for one of the two winning dates, that way which ever date wins now, we can say really and truly was a majority vote. Does that help?

Well, he is a definite loser. Why am I so blind? My cousin said she saw him on match.com already looking for a new victim. I didn't believe her..so she did a screen shot and yep..it's him. That didn't take long, now did it?

I always seem to have my eyes opened after the fact. I am going to be man-less for awhile. The past 4 guys I have dated have turned out to be turds-deluxe.

Whew! You gals have been really chatty this weekend.

I did zero homework this weekend. I'm sure I'll pay for that later. lol I did watch some movies at home with the kid and got to play with mom's kittens and work on getting a quilt quilted. I also went to the convention center where the quilt show will be held and got a sneak peek at some of the quilts and helpd to get the photography started. I think we got about 50 of the 272 "to be judged" quilts photographed yesterday. That's a huge jump start for the judging today. As there have been several volunteers not showing up, I am officially on call the next few days. Luckliy I work an early shift so a half day for me is like 10 am which is about when they'd likely need me anyway. lol

I am seriously debating the Vegas thing. I think I'll wait to see how this trip goes though and see how the funds are before committing. It's only about a 5 hour drive from here and I could totally do with a weekend getaway. lol

Vegas will be fun! I think you should go.

And I am with you on the homework thing...I am still playing catch-up!

And January it sounds like you DEF did the right thing. I can tell you after my divorce it was REALLY hard finding anyone who didn't have major hangups or skeletons. It seems the older guys get the worse it is. ((Hugs)) and you did the right thing!!!

Shane is laid off again I am getting SOOOO sick of this. BLEH! Every time I think we are going to get back on our feet again they do this again. I was REALLY hoping he would have past his electrician test this last time. He is talking with his partner about maybe going to work for him as just an employee in the meantime cuz this is killing us. All I know is we need to do SOMETHING. I REALLY want to do some of these mini meets but if this keeps up not only will I NOT be able to do any of those things are going to get ugly round this joint. BLEH!

Anyway I am off to work here in a few so HOPEFULLY my laptop won't act up again. Now I am afraid to check my e-mails or go on FB at work LOL. I think for today I will not do that till after the CPA comes. I would hate for him to come and not be able to do anything again. Hopefully it will be a better day!!

Not too much going on this week and Shelby is done with basketball so the only thing we have to look forward to is Sat Joann's is doing an open house and we are taking the girls and they do all these fun little craft demos so that should be fun and then that night we are going to a crab feed. So I am looking forward to that. Otherwise nada.

I am def looking forward to some relax time on the weekends though because swim team practice starts up RIGHT after Easter and then it will be a madhouse from then on. SOOOO I plan to enjoy my little bit of peace while I can

After voting, I read the vote thread and got caught up on how Bethy was keeping track of votes for the non DisBoard members and for those who changed their minds. Thanks for explaining it to me.

I'm feeling pretty bad, but I'm hoping to turn the corner to feeling better soon. I slept on the couch downstairs last night because I cough so much and so hard all the time that I didn't want to keep everyone awake all night.....again. I just want this stuff to go away. I think I went through 4 pairs of sweats yesterday because my coughing kept making me wet my pants. I started wearing maxi pads because I knew it was just going to keep happening. TMI, but there you have it. Gross huh?

Not gross, just reality. I had the same coughing fit dealio a few months ago. I was at the nail salon and the ladies that work there were giving me the eye. I know they were talking trash about me. I wish I knew what they were saying. Feel better...

Well as it turns out.. I'm still having issues with mine. It's so hard. I think you made the right choice. From what you've shared, he sounds kinda creepy and you're right to put a halt to it before he gets to stalker status. It's unfortunate that you had to break it off in a text because he was too childish to answer his phone. You deserve someone who likes/loves you for who you are and someone who is trustworthy and trusts you equally in return. You're awesome and I have no doubt that when you find the right guy you'll win him over in a heartbeat!

I just pray my issues get better. We got in an argument over Christmas break when he was in Oregon with his family and I was in Indiana with mine. I moved back very quickly because I was convinced it was over. Long before I promised him I'd never do to him what someone else did... leave. He begged me not to go but it was too late, all of my things were on their way back to Indiana. I should have never reacted so dramatically now he has problems trusting me. I don't blame him at all though. I would be devastated if I lost him for good. I just need to remain positive. Thats the best I can do I guess.

Ugh, I will be hoping for the best for you. I hate dating drama. I am happy in single-land. I think I will stay here for awhile. But I really do hope that things turn out great for you!

There's no doubt that we won't get low season rates but the problem with looking at that same weekend THIS year is that Easter is April 4th so of course the rates will be sky high. Next year Easter is later so I bet the rates will be higher in late April.

No matter what, we ain't gonna get it cheap but I'll be living in Bangladesh so it shouldn't be too bad.

I can't remember who, but I saw that someone was basing the dates on what the hotel rates are this year. Shouldn't do that since Easter and spring break moves. Those will affect the dates.

Anyway, I'm Heather, 29, one 4 year old daughter, one 6 month old son. Happily married. Disneyland fanatic. Next trip is April 14-17th with my daughter, sister, and mom, who hasn't at least since DCA opened. I told her that was unacceptable.

Hoping the dates work out for me. Because life just isn't complete without a Disneyland trip in the works.

Hi Heather! You are busy! Two little ones. How cute. And I agree, life isn't complete without a Disney trip in the works, or at least a trip anyway. lol
