40th Birthday and Christmas(?) at Disney

We are planning a Disney World trip for 11/22 through 11/26 (for my 40th bday ). This will be my family's third trip to WDW (but our other two trips were during summer months). I would love the opportunity to be able to see WDW decorated for Christmas. Does anyone know when they do the Christmas decorating and if it will be up for us to see in November?

BTW, does WDW do anything "special" in celebration of birthdays? What could/should I do to make it known that I'm celebrating my 40th birthday? I don't want to sound selfish, but you only turn 40 once!

Christmas decorations and activities are usually in full swing once Thanksgiving goes by. There are some activities prior to Thanksgiving. But, you will miss a lot.

Upon check in to your resort let them know it is your birthday - they will give you a pin to wear and you will get special "happy birthday's" all day long from the CMs
