Looking for some budget ideas to celebrate my parent's 40th Anniversary this August- there are 4 siblings all chipping in...but we all have kids now too and none of us have tons of $ to spend.

We had a party for the 25th, and we all went to WDW for the 30th...looking for something else (although I am partial to another trip to WDW!!)

We all live in the metro NYC area if that helps...

thanks in advance!!

A cruise is always nice. Something for everyone.

If not a cruise, you may want to try a family resort in Pennsylvania called Woodlock Pines.

We go with my husband's family every year for the weekend. Very family oriented. Been in business for many, many years. Family owned.

Very accomodating.

LOL we have been to Woodloch 5 times with my husband's family!! We usually go for Columbus Day weekend and love it!

This will tell you where my mind is. It is WDW's 40th anniversary this year. I thought this was a question about that, when I read the title.:lmao:

You could do a cruise, WDW trip, since both are 40'ths, go to a nice, fancy dinner and play, throw them a really nice party, etc. What is the bidget? That would help a lot!!:goodvibes

My parents' 40th was last year and we took them to Rhehoboth Beach, DE for a week. It was a great trip - so great we are going again this year!

I second the cruise idea.... for our parent's 40th anniv, we all went on an Alaska cruise.... it was far from cheap, but was the absolute best vacation I've ever taken.

We have a few young kids in our family, so when they needed breaks/naps, etc.. was so easy to just walk back to the stateroom. And they all loved going to the Kid's Club each day.

Never had an issue just walking into one of the dining areas/restaurants and getting seated all together (14 of us).. so we made sure to eat at least 1 meal/day all together.. then usually the other meal(s) we were in smaller groups.

Just an awesome experience all around.... trying to talk everyone into doing another cruise for their 50th, lol.
