My husband just got off the phone with a very informative and wonderful CM who spent over 1/2 hour on the phone. We ended up with a fabulous deal at the AK Lodge (even though we had originally picked WL). My take on this whole code thing is that the "code in question" is in fact sent to specific households via e-mail or US postal mail, but I'm not certain they are requiring the pins to book. My husband never specified the "code in question

" during his phone call, but asked if there were any special deals we qualified for and the CM gave him a couple of diffent options (WL was never an option with savings of any kind). The CM did offer a couple of "special packages" and did not inform my husband of the "codes, pins, whatever you want to call them." I think there is definately some "discount" out there, but I'm not sure if it's an actual code, as my husband said he punched something in his computer but wouldn't indicate what and if it was even a code. We're not travel agents.
Short story long, we got a great deal at the AKL-Savannah View Package for $800 less than what we would have paid at the WL-Woods View.
Personally, I don't think this whole code thing is Disney's lack of training the cm's etc...I think a lot of it has to do with when you are visiting Disney and what hotel you are planning on staying at. Like I said, WL was never available with a savings, but WL Villas and AKL were.
I hope this helps.
