40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

if you book during the promo period, your entire stay is at the promo discount.

i do this every year.
book the last day or two of value season and my 10 night stay is the same throughout until i check out.

I an verify that that was true for me also with 2 different trips I have had priced.

Today I called to price a trip using a code and I asked it the code I gave was for everyone or a pin or special discount attached to my name. She responded with it is a code for anyone who "asks" if there are any avail. discounts for this package. I hope this helps with some of the confusion.

I am waiting for a call from my friend regarding this. I just booked POFQ for 3 nights 8/27-30 and got 40% off the room, and a package including dining and a 1 day base for the 3 of us totalling $862 (with tax). That saves us approx. 20% off of rack, which is not bad. She is on the phone for the BW and the deal may be sweeter for a deluxe...

Now I am thinking I just add on to our DVC at that timeframe. I do need tickets to upgrade, however.

Why doesn't free dining just come out? This is just too confusing.

My husband just got off the phone with a very informative and wonderful CM who spent over 1/2 hour on the phone. We ended up with a fabulous deal at the AK Lodge (even though we had originally picked WL). My take on this whole code thing is that the "code in question" is in fact sent to specific households via e-mail or US postal mail, but I'm not certain they are requiring the pins to book. My husband never specified the "code in question :) " during his phone call, but asked if there were any special deals we qualified for and the CM gave him a couple of diffent options (WL was never an option with savings of any kind). The CM did offer a couple of "special packages" and did not inform my husband of the "codes, pins, whatever you want to call them." I think there is definately some "discount" out there, but I'm not sure if it's an actual code, as my husband said he punched something in his computer but wouldn't indicate what and if it was even a code. We're not travel agents. ;)

Short story long, we got a great deal at the AKL-Savannah View Package for $800 less than what we would have paid at the WL-Woods View.

Personally, I don't think this whole code thing is Disney's lack of training the cm's etc...I think a lot of it has to do with when you are visiting Disney and what hotel you are planning on staying at. Like I said, WL was never available with a savings, but WL Villas and AKL were.

I hope this helps.

I wish i knew what code to use. No one seems willing to share this top secret info..:confused3

We got WL w/ Woods View room for $800 less than rack pricing. So, I think it's similar. I booked my package last night. This morning, when a friend of mine called, they are out of WL woods view room for the same period of time as our travel.

Looks like rooms are going fast now.

I think Disney Travel is looking at this thread and :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: .

We would have booked anyway, but if you don't get what you don't ask for I guess. :)

But you said it yourself, "....is on the Disney site....." That is a public code of course you don't need a pin. This is not a public code, hence the need for a pin.....The CM is correct. The "code" is to upsell the pin offer recipients (40% room only discount) to a package with dining. Sorry but you can not compare these 2 codes. It is apples(public codes) to oranges(pin code recipients, email and postcard).

Deb:wizard:

Ahhh yeah....obviously what I was tring to point out was that the CM said only PIN codes start with a Z and on the Disney site itself there is a general code starting with a Z so noooo.... the CM that made the statement is wrong.
Are you with me? Apologies if I didn't explain in terms you could follow.

I think it might very well depend on the dates you want--as far as which resorts are available. We wanted WL too, but both times I called it was not available with the discount. We took AKL.

We are booked at WL and when I asked for a better deal I was offered AKL too. Maybe they have a hard time filling AKL. I will have to check out the price difference.

Any chance someone could pm me the code too? I thought it wouldn't hurt to try and see what kind of response I would get. Thanks so much.

Can someone PM the code to me? Pretty please? Can you use it for room only or just on a package?

Please, please would somebody pm me the number or code?? Our 25th anniversary is March 4 :lovestruc and I would really love to go! I have called 2x and asked if there are any special discounts and the CM told me no both times.

Thanks

i know everyone is asking for this, but my family of 4 kids would love the "general public code" if someone can PM it to me. Thanks!

For the "forbidden" code (since we're not sure if we can post it here still) go to my blog in my sig. Good luck!

Thank you-I've been reading these boards for about 4 years now, but this is actually my first post.I'm going to give it a try later this morning.

Could someone please PM me the code as well, trying to take our first WDW vacation w/ 3 kids. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of those who sent me the code...when I called to make my reservations, it wasnt the exact code I needed since I was looking for the room only (no tickets or dining) but the CM I had was wonderful and said he "worked his Disney magic" and was able to give me a code that got me the Polynesian at 40% off for August:)
