40% off select nights/resorts in 2007

What in the world is going on? I am a satisfied (mostly) Disney addict, but I would be starting to feel bitter by now if the code had not worked for me. I can understand why those of you who are not able to get the discount are feeling bitter. At least if the disney reps were mostly consistent and polite, most of us could live with no PIN codes.

Thanks for the person who PM the code! I was able to get 40% off! I just gave the CM the code and they asked no other questions!1:banana: Cast member said it was a great deal.

I am glad for you, but sad for me!!

I didn't even feel too bad until I decided it was worth a phone call to at least ask. Did they tell you you had the pin code associated with your household? I was told "No pincode, no discount" period. He said I couldn't apply any 3 letter code if I didn't have the pincode. :sad2:

I just don't get it - and it's not worth being "scolded" by a CM for me to bother calling again. CRO needs to get their acts together and their stories straight. Again, I am glad for you, though.

I feel so clueless. Where did this code come from? When is it good for? I am going to WDW for my cousins Wedding in November and would love to save some money to counteract the prices of mine & DD dresses.

Please email Disney and let them know. It truly is not fair for some to be given this opportunity and others to be shut out. If one must have a PIN, then everyone needs the PIN. They need to get on the same page about this.

Could someone PM the code to me. I'm begining to wonder if I got it wrong. Thanks.:confused3

I just told the CM the code and they asked no other questions. I friend of mine had to call four times and finally they applied the discount. I think it depends on the cast member you get.

Could someone kindly PM me the code to. We are trying to go in November/December w/ dining plan. THANKS!

I haven't called yet, but I wonder if Disney will rescind these discounted reservations if in fact people need a pin. :confused3

I'm going to have my husband call...he's better with these things. I'll check back after we're done with the call.

Could someone kindly PM me the code to. We are hoping to get a trip in this year and this would help us out tremendously!!! :woohoo:

I would love a discount. I was feeling OK about not having one until I decided "You don't know if you don't ask"....so I called and talked to the rudest CM I have ever had the displeasure of speaking with. :sad2: Of course, NO codes for me because I already spend THOUSANDS of dollars at WDW EVERY year. He said the Z codes are only applicable if you have the pin code attached to your household. Of course I don't. I feel bitter now, can you tell. :guilty:

I am happy for you all that got the great deal, (really, I am :flower3: ) but really miffed at Disney right now. I just got back from a super expensive GF RPC stay and had buyer's remorse about how much that trip cost. I have another DW reservation for the summer ('cause I love that place:rolleyes: ) and I am considering cancelling it and going somewhere else. :snooty: If I do go with my 10% AAA discount, I will feel like I am getting ripped off because THEY KNOW I love the place and pay their enormous over priced inflated rates. I have for years!! (dah to me:sad2: )

The CM you spoke with is wrong. A Z code is NOT just for a PIN. Code ZFF is on the Disney site, that's a three letter Z code is it not????

Try a different CM. If they don't seem to want to help you hang up and try again.

But you said it yourself, "....is on the Disney site....." That is a public code of course you don't need a pin. This is not a public code, hence the need for a pin.....The CM is correct. The "code" is to upsell the pin offer recipients (40% room only discount) to a package with dining. Sorry but you can not compare these 2 codes. It is apples(public codes) to oranges(pin code recipients, email and postcard).

So there is a code for those people who have a PIN code, but want to add the park tickets and dining to it. Interesting......What would be the advantage to doing this, and I'm wondering if it would make sense for my fiancee and I to rebook and get the 40% off as a package instead.

I will stop whining now. I just went to the Disney site and put in dates 2 weeks prior to our blacked out trip. The same package was $3707. when I called earlier with a code he said it was $3292. Our 'blacked out' week is $3314. The cm had told me that our week was already a discounted week so the code wouldn't work. I guess it really was. The whole system is strange.

Welcome to the boards! Beware though, it's very addicting! Good Luck!

I think the code in question only gives a big discount for deluxe resorts but very little for moderates and values. Also the forbidden code is very similiar to the code that is allowed to be posted - ZFC, and I think the CM's are often so used to typing the c in do not hear the forbidden code letter. My CM made that mistake.

I talked to my CM about using the code, being honest, I told him, I had heard about the code and that I wanted to see if I could use it and if I could not it was fine, I would book a moderate instead of a deluxe. He found my info in the computer and said I was able to use it. He had also asked if I had been to Disney since 2000 more then once. He also asked if I had been both to Disney World and Disney Land - answer yes. I am not sure if that was part of the requirement or not.

Anyway, the code in question allowed me to save 30 - 40 percent at any of the deluxes, but at all the moderates, I would have only save maybe 5-10 percent.

I love these boards, and do not want to cause more confusion. But I also hate to see people condemning others for using the code. If a CM tells you, you can use it, no one should condemn someone. It is not like somneone is being sneaky, they are just asking to try to get a deal.

I have received a pin code before, but did not receive this one, if it is a true pin code. I have also been told when I called to make a reservation, that I am one of the select few that day that is being offered a special deal, usually at the Contemporary or Ft Wilderness Cabin. I have also paid rack rate many times, but if there is a chance to get a discount, I do not blame anyone for trying. I just think some people are not getting a discount because the CM is using the incorrect code, or it is not valid at the hotel of choice.

I actually called back and changed hotels and again they looked to see if the code would work and it did at one hotel, but not the other.

Just my 2 cents, please don't judge.

i read on another board that another promo was coming out to be announced sometime at the end of maybe april for disney visa holders.

i'm trying tomorrow to get the special that is the topic here.

if i don't get it, i'll wait and see if the rumor of the other promo comes true and try to book then.

Hello,

I've been reading the posts here and see that the offer dates are as follows:

2/25-3/7
5/28-6/3
8/21-10/6
10/21-11/3
11/11-11/16
12/9-12/22

A general question I have for those who received the discount is does travel need to start AND end in these windows or can your extend out of the window. For example, if I was planning to travel Nov 1 - Nov 6, would I be able to get the discount?

Thanks,
Eric
