40% off code, has anyone been able to book a standard view at a deluxe

I currently have a reservation for Nov 15-21 at WL with a courtyard view and was thinking about switching to Poly for a standard view, should be similiar in price. When I call there is not a standard or lagoon available, best I could do in cost is $1000 more than WL. I also tried downgrading the view at WL to woods or standard, no standard avaiable and only woods avaiable is with bunk beds, don't think MIL would like to sleep in a twin bunk for the week. Has anyone been able to book a lower priced view room with the 40% off code?

I booked Poly garden for September 1-10 for $213 a night (before taxes.) It might just have to do with the time period you are going, there just may not be any of that category left available for the discount. I just booked 5 days ago.

I was able to book the same. Polynesian, garden view with the 40% off code they sent me for Feb. But i booked it back in October.

I booked standard view at the Beach Club for Dec. with the 40% off code, but no garden view rooms were available at the Poly for my dates. This past Dec., we were unable to get a standard or woods view room at WL with the Disney Visa free dining offer, but we did get courtyard view/bunk bed for the same price as an woods view w/an AP discount.

I think with some of the steeper discounts, the least expensive rooms at the deluxes aren't always available.

We got a garden view which I guess is considered Standard at the GF with the 40% off code for December.

I too have been trying for about a week to get a standard at WL for several different weeks in Sept and even for the first week of Dec and at no point have they had a standard available.

I have also checked into the CR and Poly and found the same

I already has a standard view room booked at AKL from the bounce back promo from last Sept. I called yesterday wtih my pin and was able to lower my rate by $200.00.

I booked AKL standard view the other day but then chose to upgrade to pool view for $3 more a night. So it is possible. There just might not be any available at Poly.

We have a standard view booked at the Boardwalk Inn. There really aren't that many standard view rooms at WL and I'm told they fill up more quickly so maybe they didn't have to discount those rooms.

I wanted a standard at the Contempory for Sept 4-8 but only the garden view in the wing area was available. The regular room rate for standard at that time is 280 and the garden view room rate is 330 ($50 dollars more a night) That sounds like a lot to me. I booked with 40% off that i got in an e-mail and will be paying $198 / night for the garden view. Still not too bad.

I made mine into a package (tickets/deluxe dining) and still got 40% off the room rate.

I was able to book a standard view at the WL August 23-29 for a rate of $162 per night including tax.

I've got 2 standard rooms booked at WL for Nov 29-Dec 5, but I booked back in October as soon as I got the 40% off PIN email. They probably don't have any standard rooms left for the discount. Keep trying though...you could snag a cancellation.
