40% Code and WL

I was able to book the WL with the 40% code right after it all started. However, at that time, I was told I could only get the discount with the available Woods View rooms. Not a problem - it still saved money and I added the dining to make the difference. So, financially speaking, I am paying the same this year as last year with the free dining.

Has anyone been able to book the WL and 40% code and get a standard room? (Every Sept. I have booked the standard and received an upgrade!) I've tried changing twice but each time I have been told that there are no standards available with this code. Is it time for me to be happy and take what I have or have you had any other luck??

It never hurts to keep trying, but at this point I'd have to say that any discount is better than none. If you're tired of calling, then stop and rest in the knowledge that you have received a TERRIFIC deal.

As I'm sure you already know, there just aren't as many standard view rooms at WL as there are of other view types. Disney usually has no problem booking this view without a discount. I am sure that is why you're having difficulty finding std. view at 40% off. It just may never happen, but it's not impossible. It's like that with AAA, std. view discounts book FAST.

I also booked using the 40% code and dining (within a day of it being posted on here), but I wasn't even able to get woods view (which is what I originally wanted), I had to upgrade to courtyard view. They told me there were no remaining woods view with the discount. But I still got such a great deal, that I don't mind at all. You should just keep trying back. But I also thought I read somewhere that when a person cancels a reservation for a discounted room, that the room goes back in to the rack rate group, not back to discounted. But I may be wrong on that (I'm new to all this). So keep trying, it can't hurt. Good luck.

Thanks...........I think I'll take the deal and run for now. Maybe check back one more time closer to September. Only 185 more days until WDW!
